      The struggle is real! We'll prolly be hunched over 70 year olds who can only fish for bass ourselves by that time but it's gunna happen! haha

    I'll be chucking some big plugs off the cliffs in Barbados in a few weeks....probably nothing to quite compare with the GIANT caught here, but we never really know! Those that do not understand this....well, they never will. Cheers!

    Always a beautiful video! An inspiration for me, in Italy we haven't many fish to catch from the rocks or beach, only in September and October dorado and amberjack In the other months barracuda and bluefish, if the fortune knock on the door a big leccia (leccia amia). On the boat is another history...By the way, great video! Thanks!

    this channel is seriously criminally underrated, you should have at least 500k subs (I'd say over a million, but even the most popular bass fishing channels are like

    • @MorningTideFishing
      @MorningTideFishing  8 лет назад +3

      Man if you guys knew how poor we actually are you'd trip out hard haha we're spending every cent we have to try and keep going with it and 500k subs would be bloody nice right about now... But we'll get there mate, we're in for the long haul! Cheers for your support bro!

      +MorningTide Fishing you guys are undoubtedly my favorite fishing channel, probably my favorite channel in general. Not only do you guys do the most extreme, intense fishing people have ever seen, but manage to capture locations so unbelievably beautifully and interject some stunning scenes along with it. Your passion and love for fishing, along with the actual fish themselves and nature in general is something I have yet to see rivaled in any other channel. Do you guys have a Patreon or something I could support you through? Would love to help out and be in it for the long haul with you guys as well

    • @MorningTideFishing
      @MorningTideFishing  8 лет назад

      Thanks so much mate that means a lot to us! The best way to give something back is just share the vid with your mates on facebook or where ever. We sell apparel www.morningtidefishing.com/ and have just joined fishflicks.tv/ both in hope of supporting our trips etc. But the main thing for us right now is just getting shared so we can grow... Shares are basically the currency of social media they are bigger to us in the long run then selling a shirt or two now, so yeah all we're really after from you guys is shares! Cheers bro

      Hey mate almost all our interviews are shot on a canon 600d with a canon 50mm f1/4 and those shots at the start of the film are shot with that same setup. I think that lens is pretty cheap now days!

    That's a biggy .I'm subscribing that some awesome footage . And I loved seeing that beautifull fish put back into the ocean that's awesome . I'm trying to find a good rod for this style of fishing . I have struggled to find a good combo as in comfort wise and casting wise . my reel I use is Stella 18000. I have caught a nice gt . And have lost 10 any rod advice would be appreciated . thanks

    • @MorningTideFishing
      @MorningTideFishing  7 лет назад

      Hi mate well depends on your budget but Denis is using a NS (listed in the film) and it seems to work well for him!
      Thing is around the rocks GT love to come right up to the ledge, so casting distance isn't as important than it is with Tuna and Mackerel etc. So you can get away with a shorter rod around 8 foot.
      If you've got heaps of coin look at Ripple fisher and Carpenter GT rods, if not look at NS, Yamaga and Zenaq rods, and if you don't have much at all to spend have a look at Shimano and cheap Daiwa rods.
      Hope that helps Mate.

    Any chance you can share the lure used and where to buy it? It looks like the same one Johnny used in the wash up video for the cod. thanks a lot!

    • @MorningTideFishing
      @MorningTideFishing  7 лет назад

      Hi Mate, that was an Angel Tackle Popper I think about 130g, the one Jonny used on the Cod was a Temple Reef Detonator more like 170g? (Both move a lot of water and give that deep thudding sound that seems to bring up the big dogs).
      Heres a pic of Denny's lure - instagram.com/p/BSa2okxhVBS/?taken-by=briggsyfishing pretty sure they're handmade you can prolly find the lure maker on IG or FB and send him a DM if you're keen.
      Also just remembered he talks about em here - ruclips.net/video/yKyZQHFU9uQ/видео.html at about 1min in.

    • @raymondfeng7783
      @raymondfeng7783 7 лет назад

      Thanks mate, 130g seems too heavy for my rod :( demond blood 962h only handles 50-120g according to the specs. Guess I have to upgrade my rod sometime later! looking forward to your next video!

    • @MorningTideFishing
      @MorningTideFishing  7 лет назад

      Whenever a fish is badly injured and we don't think it will swim off, we keep it for food. Sometimes on a long Island trip we'll also keep a small fish if we're all super hungry, but in general, we always try to release.

    @alldaytony2751 7 лет назад

    what motivates you guys to catch the big ones?

    • @MorningTideFishing
      @MorningTideFishing  7 лет назад +4

      We obviously all love fishing in general (you'll see us frothing on a 5kg Tuna pretty much the same as a Massive GT) but it's the challenge of big fish off the rocks that really motivates us. It's almost less enjoyable when the fish are big, like I can go and have a really relaxed/chilled spin with my kids and find that really fun, but with something like a big GT it's almost like preparing for a fight. You're scared, nervous, excited and feel a tremendous amount of pressure to land that fish. The amount of things that can go wrong from shore is insane and it really is like you're going into battle.
      The lifetime achievement of a big shore based GT is a part of it, but it's less about that end goal and more about really testing your skill, strength, knowledge, mental and physical agility, the whole process is really psycho man and we all love the feeling of being pushed to the limit. Some people spend 10 years chasing a big GT out of the boat before they land one, so that can put how hard these fish go into perspective (landbased multiply that challenge many Xs).
      So while we do have fun while we're at it, when targeting really big fish it's almost like testing yourself in battle and the motivation is more in line with developing all aspects of your fishing game so that you can finally land that monster than just having a good time with your mates (but we definitely try to combine both)!
