Noam and Deborah, I am also living in the Upper Galilee. I am American/Israeli, and my husband is a Sabra too. We thought our bomb shelter was small! But ours is a bedroom, normally our guest room. We have slept there for the last ten months. I do have drawers of food, plenty of water bottles, a bucket and chlorine (in case we can't go to the bathroom), and lots of towels to wet in case of fire.
We don't consider ourselves religious but have a mezuzah on our front door for our religious friends.
I have come to believe it is in God's hands. Thank you for mentioning the soldiers and pilots, our young people! The hostages are all important, but these young soldiers tend to get forgotten. We are so, so thankful for their service and protection.
