That was some beautiful harmonica music. Enjoyed watching. Congratulations on all the silver finds and the imitation silver cob. Even if its fake, it's still a great find.
So you know, they made 64 silver coins well into 65 although they were dated 64 to prevent confusion. They were trying to use up all the silver planchets they had in stock, that's why there are so many 64s
That Equinox 800 still looks new except for the coil cover. I've had it for what, 2 years? I tend not to get it too dirty anymore, though. Thank you again for being a good dealer. My main point is a co-worker lost a gold chain in his yard a few years ago and his wife lost a gold ring with an emerald just a couple of months ago. Well, I mentioned I have a metal detector and I could come look for them. His wife was not sure she lost her emerald ring in the front yard but I found it not 2 feet from the front steps. Took me 10 minutes. I found the chain in the backyard along the path he takes to his shed. It was down about 3 inches. Probably been stepped on a few times. For my trouble I refused payment and was then hijacked to a local Mexican restaurant and forced to eat. Double successful day. lol I figure I pulled a bit over $2k in gold out of that yard.
Good luck! Eventually you will find your first silver coin, usually when you least expect it. When I first started detecting a few years ago I made a bucket list of stuff I wanted to find, but I abandoned this idea pretty quick. Since then I have found several cool items I thought I would never ever find (and probably I'll never find anything comparable again) but also I'm still missing tons of coins and relics wich other detectorists in my area may consider a very common find because they find several of them per year. It's just luck or fate, what ever you want to call it. The only thing you can do is to go out metal detecting as often as possible, and eventually you will be successfull in finding some awesome stuff - just stay percistant.
@@Earth-Chiming You area has been so heavily developed, it looks like they covered up a ton of old schools and sports fields. Have you tried getting in some private yards from the 40s, 50s?
I tell you what it didn’t take ole Phillip long to figure this detecting thing out!! I love watching you guys!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys.
I am envious. Been digging over a year and I have never dug a silver coins. Jewelry, but not coins.
Hey, shoot me an email digthatbeep@gmail.com and your zip code. I'll send you some promising spots in your area to check out. Thanks!
@digthatbeep thanks, but Colorado Springs has strict rules. No, parks or historical sites. I'm in CO 80909
@digthatbeep And I am handicapped. I walk, but only short distances and flat surfaces.
Good luck! Eventually you will find your first silver coin, usually when you least expect it.
