I am playing on xbox cloud, for some reason I cannot get through visor down, when I press it it flips up and down.. please don't delete video tutorials, I am still referring to them.. lol they are an absolute life saver.. thank you so much for running through the sequence
Great vid and very nicely explained. I’m still trying to get to grips with it but I learn something new every time I fly. I know it’s only supposed to be a newb tutorial, but it would be nice to start on the ramp and go through even a basic startup procedure Here’s a tip: I’m not sure if the visible pilot and co-pilot avatars bother you or not, but there’s a useful workaround to get rid of them. In the fuel and weight dialogue, if you set both their weights to zero you’ll no longer see them in the cockpit. It’s a problem with quite a few DC Designs’ aircraft. Their F-14 and F-15 have the same issue. Some people don’t mind it, but I know many (me included) hate it. I just feel like they’re in the way.
I had this. It flies in a tight circle. You have to make sure the horizontal Nav/INS switch to the left of the auto throttle area is set to INS. The video has this already set but in my Concorde it isn't.
If you want to be able to change the airspeed knob from ones to tens, you have to go to the accessibility settings, and change the cockpit interaction system to "legacy".
I love flying Concorde. I’m terrible at flying all the planes the planes though. 😂😂😂 Perhaps because I fell in love with Concorde at Heathrow airport. 🤦🏽♀️😅
I could be mistaken but I don't think you mentioned the NAV/INS horizontal switch needs to be set to INS. Yours starts in that position by default - but mine doesn't.
Thanks again Huddison. Very useful and easy to follow tutorial as ever. I have encountered one problem so far: I cannot operate the nose cone lever; it just will not move, add the icon changes from an open hand to a fist. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I recently bought the concorde. With as slow as my internet is. I should be able to fly it sometime this year. I wonder how well the AI piloting handles this plane.
Hi! Thank you for the video! I have a question regarding fuel and balance. How can I know how much fuel I need and the percentaje in each tank? I cannot select It manually... And what about flight planning? I do not know how to fly, for instance, from Madrid to New York without a Concorde profile... What can I do yo solve those problems? Have a great day!
I'm not versed well enough with the Concorde's fuel system to give you proper advice on the first question, but if the default fuel will get you from London to New York, then you can estimate other journeys from that. Google might be your best bet there. Re Flight Planning: you can either do it via the World Map (like I showed in this video); or use an external flight planner, like Simbrief: www.simbrief.com/home/?page=about
@@Huddison thank you for your answer! Talking about fuel and balance: I noticed that there is a bug by selecting the quantity by yourself. For example: I cannot select a certain number of fuel in each tank neither Concorde nor other plane.
It's hard to say, but see this other video I did on the Concorde and it might help to fill in 'the missing gaps': ruclips.net/user/live3cwaXZQvH20?feature=share
this video helped me out a lot because i haven't flown Concorde for the best part of about 6 years i needed a refresh and one of my friends is planning to get Concorde when it's on discount so he can try it so when the time comes if it's ok with you.. I'd like to send the link to this video to him....
Hi thanks for this. I have followed everything but sat on the runway the flight plan screen is off. Any idea how to turn the screen on in the cockpit? Thanks.
Flown the concorde today and couldn't get past 1.90 mach after that I got overspeed (high pitch beeping). Could that be because of the weight of the plane or my altitude?
Hey mate, can you please help? I'm doing everything in the tutorial, however upon starting the autopilot + both flight directors (the very same flight that you're doing in this tutorial) the plane doesn't seem to follow the flight plan at all (I don't even think autopilot is actually kicking in). Clicking INS, max climb and all that. This is on Xbox, btw. Do you have any ideas as to how this might be happening? Much appreciated. Hopefully I didn't spend a fortune on a broken plane
@@Huddison Hi mate, thanks for your detailed reply. I think I got the problem sorted out - there’s a little switch on the AP panel labelled RAD / INS or something similar, making sure that’s on INS the plane seems to follow the flight plan as usual. I should also point out that every other part of your tutorial is better than any other one I’ve seen out there, good on you for creating such high quality, helpful content.
Dear Mr. Huddison, Thank you very much for all your great contributions. Please permit me a question from the Netherlands: Is it possible for the Xbox One (standard) controller to zoom the plane in/out? The way the MSFS Concorde is presented seems, for me, outside a little 'too far away..'. Following you with enthousiasm, with my best regards, Hans 🛩
Finally someone that explains each bit.. thank you sir.. your a gem..
Hope it helped.

Thanks I must endeavour to make similar for other airliners (and aim to).
do you have to buy MSFS and then buy Concorde as an add-on?
Best tutorial yet, simple and concise.
Thanks David, appreciated.

Hi, I have followed this video and the result is still the same. With AP selected the plane just flys to the left and in circles?
Difficult for me to know the cause of that for you.
When I turn on autopilot one the plane won’t follow the plan even with lnav on it just goes straight north
I also turn on max climb and a ton of alarms go off
I'll aim to make another tutorial video for the Concorde - seems lots of people still having difficulties.
