- In episode 124 of Truck House Life, I'll take you to one of the craziest tourist towns I've ever been to, the town of Banff, in Banff National Park. There were too many humans in town and on the trails, although I can see why, as the scenery is incredible. In this episode I'll fix the truck, get back on the road and take you into the chaos... maybe even sneak a onewheel ride in!

Wow I guess I don’t need to go there…. Maybe in the winter
That’s one of the most beautiful places I have ever been
What awesome country that is - Banff and Jasper (we were on our way - to ALASKA)!!
Hinton, Jasper, and Banff are actually in Alberta, Canada.
yup
Banff is indeed crazy, Canmore as well. Hope it wasn’t toooo crazy!
At least there's "Fire and Flower" in Canmore... to ease your troubled mind. ;)
yup!
@@throwaway692 ha ha ha ha

It’s a shame man built a open road to such a place! (Earn it).
Dang.. reminds me of a trip ..
Ended the night ditching the family and hung out with the locals at the old train depot.. in Canmore... that girl still in my memory

Cool Stuff - Great Video !
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video as always Timmy. You've got some mad one wheeling skills. Can't wait to see the next adventure.
Oh man, that was busier than sidewalks in New York
right?!
Lately our streets are empty compared to that!!!
You need to crown land camp just outside the national parks
lol
I believe Hinton is in Alberta - right on the border with BC
yup
Lake Louise via a OneWheel. You may have started a trend.
Love that you are taking us with you
it's just beginning, going to get really good once the burning man video comes out...
Reminds me of Montana. Hope to see some videos from Big Sky country this summer!!
I am loving the idea of the one wheel. I am so Backwoods that I didn't even know what one was until I watch this video. So thank you again
Hinton is in alberta near jasper national park. Jasper is awesome.
So fun to see you on Brian’s live!! Banff looks beautiful but crowded AF. Loving your road trip videos
yup was awesome!
If you are looking for a quite friendly town to camp not big 5000 people there a camp sites right on the river beautiful and start of the Rockies Sundre Alberta maybe some boomdocking if you go out to end of town . Canmore is beautiful and not so busy with tourists like Banff.Banff is beautiful place but expensive . If your looking for city Edmonton they have that big mall . There another camp place call bergin Out from Sundre to camp . And of course there BMO land free if you want off experience . I lived in Alberta for 13 years . Saskatchewan also pretty land .New to your site and loved the video blogs . We enjoyed following you
right on thanks!
I live in Calgary Alberta
I go to Banff often
Yeah Banff is always filled with tourists you need to hit up The Spice Joint Jamaican Cafe next time your in Jasper
Little bit lost are you? Jasper National Park and the town of Jasper. Banff is a few hundred km South. Your other stop was Lake Louise, in Banff National Park.
Very cool great views lake
Thx for that..
yup!
As already mentioned, that was Jasper. But if you think that was a zoo, you better keep far away from the true town of Banff!!😳
Best way to find a good place to eat, ask a local! Great tip. Enjoying your journey!
fact!
Sweet. That park was crazy crowded.
yup!
I whitewater rafted starting at the base of those falls. So fun.
I really enjoyed your video. 🤩
Thanks for Sharing! 💕
Greetings from Albania.🇦🇱
anytime!
200,000 miles....i was looking at your fuel guage.
Should have checked out maligne canyon and lake in jasper.
Beautiful !
Beautiful! Reminds me of the Grand Canyon, you get so much social anxiety it's time to leave in like 20 minutes, lol!
yup!
I have heard the One Wheel is not easy to master.
fact
Thank you so much for sharing the things you do with us
love the scenery but OMG get some gas! you're stressing me out with that almost empty tank! :D
He’s got two tanks.
All travelers are tourists...even if we think we aren't.
fact
I've seen photos of those falls and thought it was photoshopped. That's pretty amazing.
Timmy, this was so majestic away from the tourist. Saw you on the 2021 Meet with all the other Buses & Vans & saw you performing. Glad you made the trip safe & had a good time. Always, Tommy :-)
I was there a couple years ago, same issue, way to many peeps….
Alaska is truly the Last Frontier
fact!
So beautiful place 👍💥💯
sure was
Lake Louise is at peak season now.
sure was!
What a fun road trip! Glad the truck is fixed!
❤️❤️
Yup! just getting into the good stuff now!
I've owned Fords going back to my 1966 Fastback Mustang that my wife and I used to travel from fort to fort while I was in the army. Listen to my song 66 Mustang at Burlington Bill here on youtube. We have had a couple vans but our last four vehicles for travel have been Ford trucks. Our last two were 6.7 F-350's. Now we pull a 35 foot Solitude with a 2020 F-350 Diesel. Love it. Always loved the design of your truck. My 91 was similar and it took us to every state in the lower 48. Keep on trucking!
"Safe my mate". Another fantastic video. (Cowboys style). Riding my horse. Regards
thanks man
I'm with you buddy. I would much rather be where the people aren't even though I do love people I just don't like them all in the middle of my happy travels
Just caught y'all on Brian's channel. Glad to see you made it!!! His channel froze up on a lot of people. Have lots of fun guys!!! I gotta go to work!!!
Nice! Yup we've got a whole week rallying together;)
Your still along way fron Banff, your in Jasper
Hi Timmy , I just discovered your channel and I absolutely love you camper home. It's so simple and easy to live in without much worry of things breaking like water pipes. It's so secured and so quaint. I'm a new subscriber and fan of your channel from Australia 🇦🇺.
Welcome to the clown show!
200k that 7.3 is just getting broken in bro.
One too many a folk...🤣🤣🤣
waaay to many
Way to many looky loos for me Timmy, I'd miss Alaska also!
lol
PRETTY COOL , GLAD YOUR GONNA SEE YOUR FRIEND AFTER 20 YEARS! :) 1 WHEEL COMES IN HANDY. AGREE CROWDED TOURIST TOWN + NICE SCORE ON YUMMY BURRITTO 2!
yup it was awesome:)
I can’t wait to see you in Jasper, Ga. 😆
Beautiful scenery 🌴🍊🐊🌺👋
sure was!
My 1997 F350 PS rolled 129K miles sometime a year ago. Haven't put maybe 150 miles on it since. I just don't drive it much. All stock and in great shape.
nice long way to go!
Darling! Hinton is in Alberta, and outside Jasper national park. But you know we forgive ya! 👍😎🇨🇦💜p.s. we live nearby and never go to Banff during summer! And...LOVE the "one wheel"!
yes Hinton Alberta
yup I knew it but my mouth said something else, if only I had a dime for every comment I got on this;)
Jasper is about 50% less touristy than banff haha, but yes, it is quite! Lived in Jasper for a while, miss the place.
yup jasper wasn't quite as bad
Alright!!!!!! I feel like the Timmy adventure is just getting going 👍 and yep, waaay to many people for me although that area looks amazing. Keep on trucking mate and my truck is just run in with 265 000 on the clock lol
nice! still a young truck too lol
You're not driving through Banff. Banff is a town that is super touristy compared to Jasper. Lots of places in Northern BC that you would probably like or Northern Vancouver Island. Or try the park in off season months rather than summer
yup i was just mixing names up, knew where it was in my brain lol
200k on that 7.3. She is getting broke in. :)
yup!
Shoot-Dang ! that's very close to where i had my truck built , in Red Deer CA. Man i get the frikin crowd thing , i thought these places where to get away from it all ?? 8% grade for 4 miles is a trek , that one wheel looks heavily modified from the 1st one you had... ~peace~
Drove past ya last month heading down Canada. We’re you headed to Overlanding Expo
Any place in Canada is freakin crazy. I'm staying far away. Glad you liked it lololol
lol
Hinton, Alberta! LOL...and you're not in Banff if you are in Jasper...definitely were elk that you saw...nice rig ! Lots of people canoe just downstream of Athabasca Falls...those little blue markers on the side of the road going down to the Columbia Icefield show how much the glacier has receded in recent years :( climate change is not friendly to our glaciers....Lake Louise is crazy...there is a bus you can catch about 1 km south of the town of Lake Louise...you went to the busiest parts of the park....need to do more research cause there's some definite remote and beautiful areas of Banff (but maybe we should just keep that secret ;)
You wanna hit up robb and norrdegg area, so nice out there man, not touristy at all!! Also check out gregg river falls, not the biggest but it's a great spot to camp I was just up at the cardinal divide last week, which is also badass to check out
nice
@@TruckHouseLife ps......best burgers ever at the old hotel in Robb, you know seeing as you love good eats and all haha!! Safe travels brother!!
I wish you could have taken your time to drive the Icefield Parkway. It's been 35 years since I have done that, but looks to be the same, except the glacier has receded a lot! I camped at Two Jacks Lake on the outskirts of Banff. It was a great lakefront spot.
Do it again, it was about 1978 that I last did it until 2012 & again 2018
Yup looks beautiful.
Just a little geography lesson. It’s Hinton Alberta not BC and Jasper and Banff are two separate parks. Like your show, keep on truckin.
yup, i was saying all the wrong names;)
Dude you followed the exact route i did back in 2004
only so many routes;)
welcome to Canada, hope you see some bears >:D
200k miles is just breaking in a diesel !
yup!
It's just like Jackson, WY and Aspen Colorado except people go there to sleep and drink so they can enjoy the easily accessible nature around the town.
yup! blowing up
Dude you only have 200k miles on that truck? I figured it was easily double that
If that traffic bothers you, stay away from the east coast brother
will do lol
P.S....Hinton is in Alberta....hope you enjoyed it...lol
yup lol
Banff and Jasper are about 3.5 hours apart…both in completely different national parks.
yup
Timmy👍🏻
Rembering Banff in the 80's before the 2 lane hwy
And the 90's before they opened the main street with double lanes. We used the passing lane at the gates all the way to Fernie BC. My favorite place was Kikkomun Creek
Provincial Park. A glistening turquoise blue 1 mile gorgeous lake!
Do you think you'll get as far as the East Coast 🇨🇦
known for our friendliness! Check out where I live now on Grand Manan Island NB.
I'll email you! 😉 Truck on
Fernie BC! The birthplace of Alex Lifeson.
yup changed a lot for sure!
So tell me Timmy.. what's a handsome fellow like you doing without someone to share your amazing adventures with? I've been watching your videos for a while now and I have yet to see a significant other ;)
Can't show your whole life on camera;)
i gotchu
Excellent footage! Banff and Jasper are even more magnificent without people. Great places to visit during the pandemic but now that everything is open again - blah, touristy. BC should be interesting. Have fun.
yup they sure are
hinton is in alberta.
yup
Hinton Alberta…..
Damn,Canada must be bigger then i thought🤷🏻♂️ seems like you've been driving for days and still in canada.
yup it's huge
Nope, Banff is a no for me, if I saw that many cars, I would turn around and leave. Question, I thought the rules in Canada was that people traveling to or from Alaska were to drive straight through no sightseeing? I guess it changed? Congrats on the 200,000 mile mark.
I remember Banff around 2005. It was idyllic. The last couple times I rolled through it was like this video. WAY too many people and people in the campground were stacked on top of each other. I much prefer Yoho and Kootenay. I think Tim mentions Golden.... not too far from Radium Hot Springs. That was a nice little place to chill.
Update: Woops... looks like a different "Golden". I thought he meant Golden BC.
yup it's crazy
I hope you making it where you are going, as you seem confused. After referring to Jasper as Banff multiple times, wasn't it odd to arrive in Banff? All of this was in BC, so it must have been extra confusing when you hit the BC border. Oh, and Golden BC isn't in Colorado. Oy! Lol. Just busting balls, loving the trip videos. And yes, Banff and Jasper are crazy full of tourists during the summer, and it's usually much worse due to international traveller. It's a great place to visit off season
yup saying all the wrong names, but knew where I was in my brain lol
Are you changing up Banff and Jasper??
Argh, gotta do a Canadian cross-country. I had a Canadian visa years ago but did a NY - LA instead but Canada looks much prettier in some aspects. Banff does remind me of a large version of Queenstown in New Zealand though.
yup kinda does
