I forgot to mention in the video that many spawn points have also been removed. This affects insta smokes and also makes certain maps like Inferno much faster to go up mid

interesting, I've never had issues with Alt tabbing on Linux (with X11). compared to Windows it's also so much faster, like instantly.

As somebody who suffers from tinnitus, I really wish they would have left the flashbang sound effect commands in. I wasn't aware of them until this video, but my excitement of first hearing about it turned into immediate disappointment hearing they removed the commands instead of adding it to options menu.
@eetu7725 the command didn't make your hearing normal, it was silence for the same amount of time just without the high pitched ringing.
Valve now just wants to censor and remove all fun from their games, this goes way being just this decision, like they removing every corner in new maps like inferno and overpass, removing full body hiding spots, headshot spots, increasing amount of annoying angles, removing a ton of useful commands, removing customization, and the list goes on...

it has been crazy lately, every like 3 games theres at least 1 cheater (Blatant ones, shoothing through smokes and walls and tracking). They really need to work on the anti-cheat ASAP.

Valve should finally make the Mapping Tools & Workshop Linux compatible. I would make CS2 versions of my CSGO maps if they did.
I can confirm that the performance changes are big. They basically brought back the performance from before arms race/new smokes for me and my friends.
Edit: after further tests, the performance is better but it's not at the level from a few weeks ago.
2:05 If you jump on a ramp its still random if you slide down a bit after landing or not.

I assume Valve don't explicitly mention changes to movement where there were previous inconsistencies, to see if people feel the difference without it being mentioned. If people feel an improvement, they can be happy. If people feel no change or feel worse, they know they have to continue improving it.
I noticed the update messes up the spawns on aimbots (the workshop map). I'm assuming every other workshop map like aimbots will have the same issue. Not that big of a deal but I prefer the bots moving to a different spot after I kill them.
been doin the spawn thing for soooo long, used it to get very early entries into site. Very sad that they nerfed it :(
also sad about the jumping higher thing cuz I've been using that ALOT recently

Why would Valve ever put an AC update out in patch notes? Just to appease people with feels for a time? What happens in a few days/weeks/months when cheat devs update their software and find new workarounds that proliferate cheats? Then it looks like Valve mentioned AC in the patch and did nothing, it's a lose/lose. They're updating AC, and never going to tell you what they're doing with it publicly, it makes no sense to expect such things.

dawg why a cooldown for falling off vertigo. its literaly one of the maps where your most likely to fall off the mpa by accident, you might as well delete vertigo at this point if "suicides" off the map gets you a week ass cooldown.

this is not a recent issue maximuh, ever since cs 2 got released throwing grenades felt not as smooth as csgo, maybe now they fixed it. (because i throw grenade + and then swap wep)
About this inconsistent jumps - that thing irritated me the most i think...
If volvo will give 1 euro after each update not fixing anticheat, probably at this moment I can hire first degree programmer to create better anticheat then VAC.

Do the flashbangs REALLY bother people? It's normalized to be a loud as other effects. If anything, gunshots are quite loud. Not abrasive like they were, just loud.

Sitting at 10FPS isn't how you trigger the high jump, you need to force the low FPS and make the jump as you come back to full speed. Most people do this by alt tabbing.
wrong, i just had an alias to switch to fps_max 10 and it worked every time on mirage b site box. glad it got fixed tho bc it was busted

I have i5 4th gen 10gb ram rx 580 4gb and cs2 is installed in HDD.
Issue is that my game randomly crash while playing any mode or competitive
I guess its ok, cuz it happens with me and my friend since cs2 came out
Btw we are both using hdd, 3rd and 4th gen intels
Normal, cs2 is just garbage, as well optimized as recent AAA games

i think the reason they didn't mention consistent jump heights is probably because it was unintentionally fixed when they patched the low fps jump exploit

what about the 5 set spawns?
So for FACEIT/Esportal/non-Valve servers you should now spawn in one of the five "set" spawn points for that round and no longer spawn outside of them when reconnecting (at least that's what I gathered)
Inferno is overcrowded map with too much of details, I get stucked in objects when moving backwards, freaking boxes, scooters etc.
game is so dead cheaters broke the game on match making and premier and valve dont give shit about that

they need to work more on framerate issues, better but not enough.
The inconsistent jumps was/ (probably is) an actual bug you can utilize in Roblox. Setting your FPS lower can make you jump really high
Theyre doing the right thing, now make the servers 128 tickrate and we have a real game on our hands
I did notice my fps dipped a whole lot (from 120 to 30 fps) with the recent smoke visual update
i hope this new update fixes that, since the old smokes barely dropped my frames

5:10 Removing one bench from inferrno 😂😂😂😂😂 Definitely will make pros want to play this garbage of a map, they should just remove every flower pot and 80% of the extra garbage (figuratively and literally) assets that are cluttered around the map causing clipping, and then maybe, maybe pro players start playing inferno again.
Not only would it make the map play better in terms of just feel, but also would probably boost fps 20-50%
