Nobody moves like Jagger. Hmmm. Moves Like Jagger? Could be a good name for a song. 😉
Maroon 5 ft. Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger (Live at the AMA's) HD
He could teach roosters to strut.
Did you notice John Lennon in the audience?
funny thing is hes regarded as a terrible dancer
@@WookieWarriorz By who you.
My kids hate this song. I used to sing the chorus when they’d have temper tantrums. 😀😀
I have a whole catalog I’d pull out on all three kids…especially in public, lol, This one they hated
🤣🤣🤣
My 10-year-old just said the same thing to me as I started singing this out loud along with the video... 🤣🤣
😂
I sang this to our son when he was 7 and he came right back with "I'm not... gonna do... what you say!" in exactly the same rhythm. So, yeah.
This was a great performance. Always love seeing John Lennon in the audience clapping at the end. The Stones and Beatles liked watching each other perform and hanging out together.
Oh yes. And when the Beatles sang 'All you need is love' . Certainly Mick, and probably the rest of the Stones, could be seen singing along in the crowd. Heady days.
Mick Jagger always gave 110% in his performances. He’s in his 70’s now and still rocking!! ☮️♥️
The last audience member you see at fade is John Lennon.
I never saw this video before and that John Lennon from the Beatles is in it makes it even more iconic. RIP John Lennon
And Yoko...
@@rogergerzner9656 It's from an event called The Rolling Stones Rock'n'Roll Circus, various bits of which (and at one point the whole thing, IIRC) have appeared on YT at one time or another.
Everyone was into creating 'happenings' and surreal conceptual art/performances around that late 60s period, like the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour and Sergeant Pepper's. The audience here are in multi-coloured waterproof capes because stuff was getting sprayed around, like at the circus.
If you're a John Lennon fan, do check out Yer Blues from this same show; Lennon on vocals with an impromptu back-up supergroup that includes Eric Clapton and Keith Richards, calling themselves collectively The Dirty Mac...Yoko helps out by climbing into a bag and doing something with a sanitary towel. Pure 1960s...
It's on YT right now...
ruclips.net/video/JeFwaWFTGYU/видео.html
Yes is John . saw this video number of times on a bigger screen . John is not the only famous musician part of the audience . There are many others , just can't remember them all .
I caught that before the vid faded out! I said "OMG there's John Lennon! But the Rolling Stones were on that UK rock show 'Rovk and Roll Circus', and Lennon was there and I think Paul and Ringo! Just singing along in the audience! 💙🎼✌️
"Sympathy for the Devil" is your best next Stones stop. The entire Stones portfolio is awesome but "Sympathy" is a total masterpiece.
Agreed!!
My favorite Stones song. The lyrics are incredible.
and paint it black
YESSSS!
And the whole album is great
The Stones were one of the very first actual "Rock" bands. Genius work!
The Rolling Stones are so prolific they have their very own "Top 100 Rolling Stone Songs" list!
RIP CHARLIE WATTS 8/24/21. You will be missed.
It's just so weird to realize that younger people today don't even know Mick Jagger - feeling old!
Right, like how can that be? 😣
Yes I thought he was famous, strange someone never heard of him. Guess I am old too, wonder if they ever heard of the Beatles?
I know. Arguably the greatest and most famous rock singer in the history of the world and part of the greatest rock and roll band in the world.
It trips me out actually.
I try to put it into perspective when I start thinking like that (which I do). I'm in my mid 60's. I grew up on the Beatles & Stones and all the other great artists of the 60's & 70's. I was also quite familiar with 50's music as a teen. What I was not familiar with and can guarantee I would have had no interest in, is music from the 1910's through the 1940's all music 50-60 years before I was a teen. So, it's not surprising to me that most teens & younger people today have no interest in what they consider "outdated" music (as we gasp). I will venture a guess & say most teens & young adult in the 60's & 70's were not listening to music from the turn of the century. :)
Mick Jagger’s son trolls him SO HARD on Instagram. Jagger will post a pic of himself doing something and his son will be like ‘nice jacket, old man’. It’s so funny to see his kid talking smack to the SWAGGIEST muh on the planet. 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If u haven’t seen it, look for the parody where the poster has muted the music n vocals on Jagger n Bowie’s Dancing in the Street video. Then overdubbed someone else singing reaaaaly badly along with wheezing etc.
absolute hysterical GEM!!
@@perrymalcolm3802 🤣🤣🤣
A comedian called Mick "a rooster on acid" The Beatles and the Stones were gods
I consider myself fortunate that I first went to see them in 1964. I am at my age still going to see them. Their live performances are spectacular
Yes, that was Mick Jagger. The "Jimmy" in the song is Jimi Hendrix. At the end, the guy with the long hair, watching and applauding is John Lennon - you really liked John Lennon's "Imagine".
Thank you I had to go back and look, oh yes that's Lennon. He use to attend some their shows from time to time. They started off to together in the same clubs the Stones and the Beatles, so they use to run into one another quite a bit. Jagger had a nick name for them " The Four Headed Monster".
That was Yoko next to John (as always).
@@JKTritt Yes! I just missed her on John's left. Good eye!
@@JKTritt So, he had already ditched Cindy and Julian a that point, I am guessing this was 1969-70?
@@Rick-or2kq December 1968.
You should also hear their songs- Jumping Jack Flash, Paint it Black and Wild Horses.
Don’t forget “Brown Sugar”
Shattered
Wild Horses for sure and Daddy You’re a Fool
I like 70s ROLLING STONES ..THE BEAST AND THE BEST I M O
Jumping Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Woman are my two favorites.
I feel the same way: about 15 years ago, I snapped to the realization, that i don't own any Rolling Stones albums or music...but when I see their body of work, I know, and can sing along to, SO many of them! I never understood that they were such a big part of my life!
What a HUGE catalog of music the Stones have!!! When I was young and I wanted something and the answer was no, my
Mother would sing “You can’t always get what you want”😂
GREAT stones song: “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”🔥
The studio version is better imo. Wild Horses is another great song and similar to this.
Studio is WAY better, but it would be tough to tow around an orchestra and choral group right?
The studio version gets my vote. The choir takes it to the next level.
WILD Horses released in 1970 ,,
The 'heavenly choir' intro on YCAGWYW works brilliantly and does definitely take the studio recording up a notch or ten, but, on the other hand, watching the mesmerising Mr Jagger perform his moves, while simultaneously sneering at and seducing audience and camera, tends to take your mind off any quibbles with the plainer (though still super funky) live arrangement... All up, I couldn't really say which I prefer. To listen to, the studio version is number one for sure, but visually and dynamically, this live performance is such fun to watch, it's a winner too, for me.
Yep. The full choir while he’s still being jagger... perfect contrast. Moves like jagger.
I prefer the studio version which starts with starts with a children's choir. This one dropped a verse ("I went down to the demonstration, to get my fair share of abuse,") and also drops the piano and return of the choir and the band speeds up for the climax.
This was from their project "The Rock and Roll Circus" which had other performers such as Jethro Tull, The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and The Dirty Mac (a 1-time group of John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Mitch Mitchell with Yoko Ono). Because The Who was fresh off of a tour they were primed and their performance stole the show. The Stones looked tired from being up for 2 days and they ended up shelving the project for 27 years.
You need to check out The Who performing 'A Quick One (While He's Away)' from this show. Amazing.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone react to "A Quick One" before. But to me it's one of the greatest live performances ever with The Who going to town on a tiny stage!
I completely agree. The studio version is so EPIC. I am glad that the tempo is accurate in this video. In later years, they slowed this song down so much I didn't enjoy it nearly as much. It's got my favorite groove of any Stones song and they kind of ruin it with the slower tempo IMO.
I agree with much of what you said, but one quick correction - that's not a children's choir at the beginning. It's the London Bach Choir, and there is footage (though I can't find it on RUclips) of Mick directing them.
Agreed; love that version, kerk
Amber, you spoke for us older generation people, we get to watch your faces react to the songs we love. Thank you for your reactions. Your "building bridges" 🤟.

Back in the day artists were challenging the man. Now everything is judged and scrutinized to the point that expression is being silenced! It’s so important and I love you bringing this music to a whole new audience! Thank you for sharing sharing...
This song was played in the movie The Big Chill during a funeral scene. Years later, when my stepmom passed away, she requested we play this song at her funeral. This always makes me think of her and it's very bittersweet (I loved her very much).
the man clapping at the very end was John Lennon of the Beatles.
As for Mick Jagger, he moves like Jagger. He is one of a kind. And the Rolling Stones have had numerous hits over the decades.
Watch him and Tina Turner at Live Aid. That is wild.
There are just too many great Stones songs to recommend one. But, do check out Tumblin' Dice for one.
Saw the Stones live, just before the world got sick. The atmosphere and energy was incredible.
He has so much energy! Even at their last concerts! Mick always moved and still does!
Satisfaction, sympathy for the devil, and paint it black......... awesome songs!! ❣️❣️❣️
Mick jagger is 80 something years old and still this animated onstage.
No Charlie Watts is turning 80 Mick is still in his seventies.
he never ages, like at all the man will be performing till he drops dead.
Saw the RS in Phoenix after it was originally cancelled because jagger needed heart surgery.. but then a year later they were back redoing the show that had been cancelled. Yes Mick was All over that stage.. audience was of all ages.
@@creinicke1000 I saw them on them on the Denver leg of that tour...Amazing!
Hes not 80
Oops. I clicked on this video thinking it was a Jimmy Cliff song. Gave it a like as always.
I was loyal to the Beatles since 1964 but the Stones played on the radio a lot also.
My dear cousin wanted to see the Stones before she passed from cancer, so our entire family saw them live in Los Angeles - outdoor concert, huge audience, sold out of course.
We were far far far away in the nosebleed section but the instant Mick Jagger put his little toe onstage the energy was HUGE. He owns the stage. When he walks off, it's like a deflated balloon, all the magic is totally gone. He is absolutely magnetic. Amazing life-changing experience and I can't really say I even like them that much.
Was one of my late wife’s fav. songs, we were both huge ‘Stones fans, and played them a lot in the house. This song was sung to her when she was a child by her dad. Seems like a generation grew up getting this song sung to them by fathers lol! Thanks for the reaction…. Matt
It's been so long since I have seen Mick looking so young. Hard to believe they are still performing today
it was fun watching this version with Mick doing his thing, but the studio version has an amazing choir blending with Mick's vocals. The Stones wanted a choir and said, "why dont we get the best one in England?" and that is just what they did. The ending is amazing as the choir goes higher and higher with the Stones playing in the background.
People either love or hate the choir. I kinda missed it in listening to this but watching them perform live is great too.
The boys choir, made this song, in my opinion. Their voices are angelic. Not the same with out the choir
I’ve seen the Stones live 3 times and Mick was energetic like that every time. Even though all 3 times they were already in their 60’s.
Ruby Tuesday and Waiting On A Friend, two Stones songs that I have always liked. 👍
Classic rock songs like this one will live forever... long after their singers have ceased singing. Very cool reactions. Hard not to dig this one. #YouCantAlwaysGetWhatYouWant #TheRollingStones
when they started in the 60s, there were 2 bands, the beatles and the stones. the beatles were mainstream and the stones were the outlaws, funny thing both were iconic and both changed the world of rock
This is why there is a line in a modern song " U got the moves mck jagger" COz the man had the MOVES!!!!!
Jaggar was one of the best performer's in music. My first concert I ever went to. 1978 at Anaheim Stadium. Over 100,000 people. Festival seating. Stones were 5 hours late. I was 16. Crazy crazy crazy but awesome!
Was one of the best??? Still is!
Nobody else has the moves like Jagger.
That singer has moves like Jagger!
Just scrolled all the way down looking for a comment like this!
When my husband was younger he looked SO MUCH like this version of Mick Jagger that to this day all of his uni friends still call him Jag. It always makes me laugh to see this performances from when they were younger, because I can't help but think, hey! That's my hubby!
My friend & I used to sing this to our daughters all the time, & they still co.plain about it, at 30 years old! The funniest part is that I caught her singing it to her 3-year old the other day!
And yes, it's been in a LOT of commercials.
“The Big Chill” music. This song was used in the movie soundtrack. The song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, released in 1969. It’s about love, drugs and politics. In 1983, the movie was released and it’s about love, drugs and politics. It has a great cast, great music with a bohemian ambiance. This is the song played in the opening scene. Rock genre by Rolling Stones. It has been used in many commercials over the years. Also, the dance he was doing was called The Jerk!
Actually, it's in the funeral scene. The opening scene is I Heard It Through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye. That's one of my favorite movies.
@@larrywt656 Been a while since I saw it. I thought the funeral scene was the first!
Yay! Great song! Studio version is another level
Miss you - Rolling Stones
She hit it right on the head that it's great to watch someone see and hear a song that we already know and love. It allows us to see it through their eyes and it's like watching it for the first time. It is exactly why I watch reaction videos.
Greatest Rock and Roll band of all time......
Correct
Rolling Stones - SO Classic ! Try ... Paint it Black, Satisfaction, Get off my cloud - too many to mention ... Any choice will be a hit !
You made me laugh Amber when you said how good it is to share a song that you really love with some one. Thats why we watch your channel, lol. Love you guys. Most Rolling Stones songs have played in movies, tv shows, commercials and talent shows. Its just an awesome freaking band.
This song is EVERYWHERE LOL. This is an amazing version. I saw them the day before his 70th birthday he still has the moves. Blew me away. Gimme Shelter is amazing!
You have 5 decades of Stones music to listen to!!!!!!! Total awesome
Forever identified with the movie, "The Big Chill," and later with "High Fidelity."
Sadly, who has seen those movies?
It was used in the movie "21".
@@billdurfy2110 I have, one of my favorites.
THIS SONG was playing in the opening scene of the cult classic movie THE BIG CHILL. It starred Glenn Close, Kevin Kline, Jeff Goldbloom, William hurt, and several others that I can't remember. It is at the funeral of one of their college classmates. It is a snapshot of life in the mid 1980s. It was rumored that Harrison Ford is the body in the casket. If you really want to know what society was like in the 1980s. this is it. I know because I was there and it is very authentic.
Actually it was Kevin Costner
You need the studio version of this one with the boys’ choir.
Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Sympathy for the Devil”, Wild Horses, Satisfaction.
A couple other songs to hear is "She's A Rainbow," and "Ruby Tuesday."
That video quality is unreal for being the 60's! got them moves like jagger! They didn't notice John Lennon standing there in the crowd.
💜And THAT'S why the Rolling Stones are one of the best bands ever! They got that certain "something". 💜
Mick Jagger always moved and looked like a rooster to me 😁
I absolutely love The Rolling Stones! Lots of great songs!
You are correct, Mick Jagger is the lead singer.
This song was released in 1969, and it's been everywhere.
See if you've heard (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction from 1965
Beast Of Burden , Waiting for a Friend, Honkey Tonk Women . Some of my personal faves. Its harder to find a bad stones song than a good one . :) Yall carry on the good work ☕💚✌🏼
One of the Greatest Songs and Band!!
Moves like Jagger. I've never seen that performance before. What a treat. I enjoyed watching it with y'all.
Mick may not be a "great" dancer, but he hands down is the most free and enthusiastic dancer ever. He also has the highest and most consistent energy levels of any human ever born.
there is a doc about the rio show that takes you back stage. he runs sprints before going on.
More Stones songs worthy of a reaction: Let's Spend the Night Together, Dance Little Sister, Shattered, Mixed Emotions
Absolutely love the original Stones lineup with Brian Jones and Bill Wyman.
Amber I love the way you said watching somebody enjoy something you already enjoy is magical that's why I watch you guys..
Now you know where the term "moves like Jagger" comes from.
They may not know Maroon 5 either, lol.
Listen to Maroon 5’s song “Moves Like Jagger”. It’s a fun song all about how Mick moves.
Saw them in Naples Italy in 1982, Mick looks like a rubber band on acid when he gats on stage! LOL
@@michaelscoggins3503 yep and he STILL moves like that.
This was from the 1968 Rolling Stones rock n roll circus.. And the crazy thing is jagger now 80 or near enough is still dancing about with as much gusto and enthusiasm even now
This is one of the best and most popular tunes by this legendary all time great band!
Guys, Jagger still performs with the same amount of energy today (in his 70s)!
AND Jagger can still fit in those pants
good job Amber-you are pretty solidly based in a variety of music!
This video is from the 1968 English TV show called Rock& Roll Circus. It also had other music groups , John & Yoko, Jethro Tull, Eric Clapton and others. You can get it on DVD, it's one of my favorites from back then. I'm a old guy, just turned 70. Those were great days for pop music!
Amber the version who was recorded on the album was a little bit softer and featured a boys choir, but Mick Jaeger being the shoman that he is , always love to give his audience a good show!
Haven’t you heard the phrase “dance like Jagger”, it’s a line in a song by Maroon 5. They’re talking about this man Mick Jagger. He moves to his own beat. And nobody dances like Mick.
Did you know that Jagger got his dance style from Tina Turner? They were friends and toured together...she and the Ikettes were said to have influenced him
@@abmqa I’m sure it was the late great James Brown
@@EbonyMaw874 You got it. They had to follow James Brown on the Tammy Show. They were the headliners and they knew they couldn't top James Brown after seeing him perform.
A decade from now, no one's going to remember who or what Maroon 5 was.
@@rookmaster7502 good coz their crap
Mick Jagger started by just standing behind a microphone. Tina Turner told he need to move onstage. Have fun. Jump around. The rest is history.
YES and their still playing after 50 years
"Satisfaction" is a must-hear, too, as is "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll".
Btw, The Rolling Stones are fantastic live. Mick Jagger always brings the energy!! Check out The Harlem Shuffle....
Amber, absolutely love you. So happy you're helping J out with all the music you know. Also, Yes, Jon Bon Jovi is a gorgeous man. My first love will always be Robert Plant, lead singer of Led Zepp. He moves my soul.. Bye, tell Jordan that the 60s and 70s were all about sex, drugs and rock and roll.
First saw the Stones in 1967 in Slough obviously I was a very young teenager 😅 have loved pretty much everything they’ve done. We now have kids in their 40s who pay crazy money to see them in town (London) just shows how lasting they are
The first time I danced at a party was to this song (8 yrs. old). That was more than 50 years ago and this band is still having sell out performances in big arenas. Mick Jagger known for his moves and his mouth/lips. My sister has gone to every tour concert at least once. She is going to Vegas in November to see them again. Mick Jagger and the whole band is in their late 70s now and my sister tells me they still have great concerts but Mick doesn't jump around as much.
The studio version is better. And yes, Mick Jagger is the singer.
Yes agree!!!!! And its my favorite stones song.
It needs the choir sining.
The studio version is exponentially better.
@@brickarranger2319 absolutely! Makes it a completely different song.
The Stones are truly one of the greatest to ever do it. Creative, trailblazing icons with a huge catalog of amazing songs. But every time I see a reaction to one of their classics that’s the live version, I shut it down knowing that the listeners got no sense of what the song usually sounds like. Their live shows are legendary because they’re legends themselves, not because they actually sound good.
This is one song from the movie "The Rolling Stones - ROck & Roll Circus".
Just me but I like studio versions over live 90% of the time.
Like Gimme Shelter - The live version looses out to the studio version.
His moves have always been iconic!
Mick has that much energy in his live shows for the whole show from the 1st song to the last
You probably did "Gimme Shelter" or "Sympathy for the Devil."
I would think you guys would like the Stones, as they're blues based rock, and you seem to like that.
Luv this band, just got sick of the song Angie to everyone used to sing it to me, LOL
You're lucky. I knew someone named Mandy. People loved singing Barry Manilow's Mandy to her.
@@metalloadedbakedpotato4382 LMAO, Oh no
Sorry. That was me.
As a fellow Angie, I was a little jealous of the Beth’s. They had a way more romantic song. 😂 But at least we have a song.
@@AJ-sx3ic yes,I agree with that
Saw Rolling Stones in concert. Mick Jagger ran back & forth from the side of the stage to the other.
Any song off "Sticky Fingers" is great. I was born in 1974 and I believe the Stones are the GOAT of rock and roll bands.
The studio version is soooo much better. It has fantastic back-up vocals.
Yeah, I was instantly disappointed when I saw it was a live version and there were no back-up singers or a choir on stage.
Agreed! Also love the French horn in the studio version. I don't necessarily love the choir; in fact I'm not sure how much I even like this song since there's so many better Stones songs out there. But I think the studio version is much more in keeping with what the Stones intended: Big production, big choir, long song length, etc. But it sure is great to watch a live performance of the song while Mick Jagger was still taking his songs seriously. (By the mid-1980s and later, he seems mostly wanting "to play the part" of Mick Jagger, like a caricature.)
Mick Moves Like Jagger. Way back the Beatles were the good guys and the Rolling Stones were the bad boys. My loyalty was to the Beatles but I secretly liked the Stones. I found out years later it was all publicity hype and that they were friends
Love the Beatles but my loyalty to the Stones started early around 1966. I was in 6th grade. It must have been the influence of my high school and college age brothers. Ultimately the Beatles had many great songs but I pretty much liked everything the Stones did except for a couple songs in the 80's. And, so sad to hear that Charlie Watts passed away a few days ago. He's been my favorite since the 70's. I wonder if they will continue touring without him? Hard to believe he was 80. RIP Charlie.
When I saw the Stones in concert in the early 90s Mick Jagger was still moving around the stage just like in this video.
Three favorite Stone's songs: "Gimme Shelter", "Paint It Black", and "Miss You". Check them out when you get a chance. "Jumping Jack Flash" is really good, too.
This may have been Rock n Roll Circus
You really should do the studio version of this song. Completely different vibe with choirs.
Thanks for posting ! Love you both ! Get into some The Doors " Land Ho "
Great suggestion ! or...Riders on the Storm or Light my Fire - they may recognize - ❤
Love that song it's my fav. Doors song.
Time Is On My Side is one of my favs by the Rolling Stones.
Im a crusty old guy ha ha ha ha , and i think its great to see a young couple listening to some old school music and reacting. Keep the vids coming guys! (from New Zealand).
When you hear Keith Richards jokes he's one of the Rolling Stones. He plays lead and rhythm guitar as well as vocals. He's been busted for drugs repeatedly. He's been quite up front about his drug use as well. That's why the jokes. Great musician and I hope he does outlive us all.
"These young kids need to start thinking about what kind of world they are going to leave to Keith Richards and me." - - - Willie Nelson
Life by Keith Richards is the best autobiography I've ever read
Saw them 3 times , Keith is a lead singer in only one song. The run to get a beer and take a leak. HAPPY. Terrible singer
The studio version, has a huge choir, so it sounds different. You needed to see them perform anyway.
This is the bands your grandparents loved and tried to emulate on the dance floor and in life.
I'll always remember this song as being played on the organ at the funeral of the Big Chill.
