I've never had a drawing tablet in my life, I just like looking at my screen and knowing where I'm actually drawing, I'm too scared to try one out ;-; that's why I would rather buy a display tablet :D I Love your art so muchhhhh! And maybe it's just me but are you uploading more often :O??
Depending if you have access, some electronics stores have display units to try out for bigger brands like Wacom and such. It's certainly nice to be able to see the art right where your hand is, I just wish the resolution was slightly better. Haha I have this weird backlog of footage,,,, the main problem is I never have the time or energy for editing but these 'rona days has everyone working from home so-
I had the same thought process too, but graphic tablets (no screen) are easier to get used to then you think! I mean if you think about it, it’s like using a mouse/trackpad because you’re moving it without directly looking at it. If you want to test out something cheap, Huion has tiny graphic tablets for 20-30 dollars. Personally, they’re too small for me to comfortably use, so if you’re willing to risk it for a pricier (but great quality) tablet, I recommend the $60 deco 01 from XP pen.
@@minnyd9806 oh wow now that you mention it, that process probably makes you learn a lot more about coloring without lineart at all. awesome revelation, thanks for sharing with the class :P
@@sunblooom It does-- well for me, anyway! I’ve tried using the process and have seen a massive improvement in colouring and shading hair and skin. Definitely recommend it~! :D
So I just got one of these and ser up as a second display. I've never owned a mac book but I'm sure you could do it. I plan on getting an actual moniter so I can use references while drawing on the tablet.
Hye may I know do you think this tablet is worth it? I am a beginner.. I want to purchase a screen tablet that is cheap and reliable as I don't have big budget.. do you think it can last longer?
This tablet is decent, though I didn't really like how thick it was and how many wires it required. It made my workspace messier. I am currently using an Artisul screen tablet, it is thinner and requires fewer wires going everywhere (it is a bigger size and thus more expensive, though; probably find a similar smaller size if you want a similar price point). I would also suggest looking at xp-pen (they often have sales, too). XP-Pen is a relatively more common brand so there's also likely more support for it. I am sure GAOMON has some more other more friendly designed tablets, but I have not tried them out so I can't say how they are like.
Question, for the power adapter do you get to choose between an adapter with 3 of the metal parts (lul I don't know what it's called-) or do you automatically get the adapter with 2 of the metal parts?
Oh I just realized you mean the power adapteR and the number of prongs it has (I AM BIG DUMB, I AM DELETING MY OTHER MESSAGE LOL)!!! I didn't get a choice, so what you see on screen is what I got. I got it via Amazon. I don't know if there maybe will be regional differences e.g. Europe or Asia maybe will have different options due to whatever is common there? Your best bet is to read the descriptions carefully and maybe if there are review images, see if there are variations.
Do you need to always be connected to a pc or phone to use it or can you draw on the actual table? Also does the tablet have wifi and can it connect to internet?
Yes, it needs to be connected to a PC or phone to work so that it can interface with the device that is hosting the actual program. The only tablets that do not need to be plugged into another device are standalone tablets (you can basically think of them as a computer or phone which can have its own apps; has a cpu and everything) like ipads, Surface, or Wacom Mobile Studio. This significantly increases the price and there aren't as many out there for drawing.
:( maybe I should make it clearer in future videos, usually graphic tablets are not standalone as artists usually use hefty programs like Photoshop so it's usually resides on a separate computer and the tablet acts like an interactive display like a non-screen tablet does. Can you try to return it maybe? So you can look for something else more suitable.
@@EclipsingArt not your fault lol, It my first time buying a drawing tablet so I had no idea that they required to be connected and not used as stand alone. I wanted something similar to a Note 4, where I can draw when ever and where ever I want. You did nothing wrong, and I do appreciate you responding so quick, you earned a sub!
Hi! I used the Gaomon tablet for about a month or so, but I've mainly been using a different screen tablet as my main tablet (Artisul D16 Pro) since I prefer a larger sized one. During that month, the Gaomon tablet worked fine, but in my honest opinion, I find this model a bit...clunky? It's very thick and uses lots of wires.

What app did you use to draw cause I just got one and I’m so confused ☠️😂
thats clip studio paint, unfortunately its not free
Me pretending to understand when your explaining how you recalibrate the crosshairs 🤔🤔🤔
Do you have to have to have it plugged at your PC at all times while use?
Yes, it has to be connected to a computer. It doesn't have its own CPU , essentially it acts like a fancy monitor that you can draw on.
i found a display tablet that's 13,099 (272 USD if i'm not mistaken) :D
*cries in broke filipino*
can you tell me how you put it on mirror mode?
The tablet? on the Multiple Displays section in your computer's display settings, there should be an option to Extend or Duplicate. Choose duplicate

Hi I’m having the same problem with my pen, how do I recalibrate it?
If you open the driver that you downloaded, there should be a option on one of the tabs to recalibrate the screen/pen. It's like a button
