Many may not be happy about the Doctor being the Timeless Child but I personally think that "title" suits her. She wandered the universe for who knows how many years, had several different faces and compared to the lifespan of the universe she´s still a child who discovers new things each day. And it might sounds cheesy but before season 11 started I had a bad event which changed my life but watching the 13th Doctor with her positivity and hope it helped me through this time till I was able too see that even if we experience bad things in life it continues and it shouldn´t prevent us from having happy moments again.
i believe these brave steps are necessary because this is a 57 years very long adventure. and something has to be done to continue. but their course is very cheap and effortless. I love the characters (especially the doctor) but I don't agree with the stories.

I like the title too but I feel like the twist would have been better if they changed one, really two things. The prehartnell incarnations should not have been called the doctor, should not have had a policebox tardis, and no echos of the timeless child (other than still not ginger being because of Brendan because I think that’s hilarious) existing in the doctor in any form. Second I wish they actually changed her biology (possibly via fob watch) and made her straight up gallifreyan timelord. Then give her the choice to go back but have her say no in accordance with the “not being limited by your past” and also not wanting to be effectively immortal. Pretwist we didn’t know how many incarnations were left, it wasn’t infinite. That’s the retcon they can still do. But here’s what I like better: Make multiple timeless children, but have it be where the doctor was actually the most useless in some capacity and got kicked out of the trials and “rebooted” into hartnell. I think that fits better thematically, maintains the twist, but still allows the doctor to be made great by their actions not their birth. I would still prefer some sort of regeneration limit established somehow though. Or at the very least a limited frequency because there’s going to be a lot of plotholes with the current infinite regens she has now.
I agree with the “title” aspect of what your saying. But for whom the Timeless Child actually is, I would’ve preferred if it was no one that we know. Not the Master, the Doctor, Rassilon, etc. Just some poor unfortunate soul that got mixed up in a desperate woman’s attempt for power.
You have captured everything I love about Thirteen's era. it made me want to cry. I can positively say that the Thirteenth Doctor and Jodie Whittaker have saved my life.
People coming from previous eras won't really appreciate this beautiful masterpiece until the years progress. Jodie has made an indelible mark on Doctor Who and I simply can't appreciate this enough

But when you put it together in videos like these, you really can see an overarching theme, her identity which has been subtly ascertained across the two seasons. And the shots! Jodie plays The Doctor really well!! Each and every doctor brings their own personality trait for their own doctor and 13 is far beyond wonderful!!! I'm really glad they chose her to be The Doctor!!! I started watching near the end of Eleven's run and decided to begin with Nine, then Ten and so on and as much as I loved the show, I never fully embraced a version of the Doctor that mase me say to myself "THIS is my Doctor". However after watching Jodie's 1st episode, I finally said "THIS IS MY DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!" Everything about her just spoke to me and my love for Doctor Who has only strengthened and I even cosplayed for for Halloween 1 year. So thank you for putting together 1 of the best vids of Thirteen

A lot of people dont like Jodies interpritation of the doctor. I don't know if you recently started watching Doctor Who or have seen the newWho and the classicWho, but people who truly fell in love with the Doctor and connected to the character at a deeper level than simply entertainment were deeply offended by this 13th Doctor because she is nothing like the Doctors that came before her. She doesn't match the brilliance and charm of the newWho Doctors nor the quirks and smoothness of the classicWho Doctors. People like me want her to go all dark because that's where Jodie's acting has been good, in the brief dark moments we have seen her in. Other than that, her acting is okay. This "okay" doesn't work because brilliant actors came before her, putting the bar way higher. The show was fine if season 12 or season 11 were actually season 1 and season 2 of some new show about an alien traveling through time and space and helping people out. But Doctor Who already had a legacy on which these new seasons took a big disrespectful dump (especially with the Timeless Child nonsense), that's why people don't like 13th Doctor. I hope you understand the perspective that many holds.

Remembers who the doctor really is, remembers all of her faces not just the ones she had after the time war but before too. And I saw a few who were saying the doctor wasn’t abuse and that it was never stated that she was abused just experimented on read the context clues. While under tectayoons care she was experimented on and obviously in order to study regeneration you would need to trigger it and how do you trigger regeneration? By having no other choice, either die or regenerate. Tectayoon in her quest for immortality repeatedly attempted to kill the doctor to trigger the regeneration and taking the newly formed regeneration cells and studying them until the loose the regeneration energy and then repeat the cycle of attempt to kill and regenerate all over again. Imagine what that must do to a child, having your mother figure constantly try to kill you in order for her to gain some sort of immortality, constantly regenerating. For the doctor now it isn’t so much of a unpleasant experience but imagine what it must have been like for a child. Constantly having a new face without having any time to adjust to your new one, not discovering who you are then until you have to become someone new. It must have been traumatizing and do you think tectayoon would let the doctor out of her sight after that, no, lest the child tried to run away. The many faces were the first thing to support this but the last that ties it all together is “her desire to understand became an obsession” scientists like tectayoon are obsessed with their work, only sleeping if it is hurting their research only eating when on the verge of passing out and no longer caring for who they might hurt even their loved ones. As long as they get their answers.

He only had 1 season, thats barely I enough to get the vibe but if I could. I would think he is the victim. For 9, the time war is still fresh. The weight of what he thought he had done still weighs heavily on his shoulders.

although my Doctor will always be Matt Smith, i can still really appreciate Jodie. I think it’s nice to have a female Doctor and the way she presented herself was amazing. This edit is fantastic and really captures how powerful and inspiring this Doctor is. I really don’t think all the hate she get is justified, however i do understand where it’s coming from. i don’t think the storylines could be compared to the previous seasons, but they were definitely interesting! anyways, incredible! :D
