I saw the comic when perusing my local comic store a while ago, and was immediately grabbed by the cover and the artwork. It's a novel take on a post-apocalyptic setting, and I love the concept of the Wardens. The art is amazing and I think the whole work is some of Geoff John's best that I've seen. You can really see the benefits of Ghost Machine's creator-owned business model. I'm really looking forward to more of the other Wardens appearing. I haven't actively collected comics in a long time, but I've made this one a title I intend to get every issue of. I do wonder if it's going to be an ongoing title or a maxi-series with an ending, though. If I had one caveat, it's that the "over-sizing" of the animals seems really skewed towards the antagonists. Rook's birds aren't that much bigger than normal, and Swine's boars and Direwolf's wolves are a somewhat bigger, but Ursaw's bears and Kaa's vipers are practically kaiju-sized. And Carapace's turtles ARE kaiju sized. While he's not a villain, he's not really a protagonist, either. Just saying that the heroes get a little screwed on the animal-power level, seemingly to artificially put them at a disadvantage.
@@CharacterCrave It's possible that this was done to even it out later, if a number of the other Wardens and their animals come to help Rook, and Ursaw is greatly outnumbered. And, we haven't seen Glacier's polar bears in action, yet. One thing I'd like to see delved into is whether Ursaw, having not been a Warden, but someone who just found the helmet, is really only as villainous as he is because of the bears' aggressive influence on his mind. I can't imagine he would be able to mentally fend of the animals' feedback as well as a trained Warden.
Since we're opening with salt, how about trying a video resolution for the platform you're posting it on. Whoever came up with vertical cropped videos needs to learn you can turn a phone on it's side.
@@CharacterCrave Sorry I suppose video orientation would have been a better description. RUclips predominantly uses the standard landscape orientation for it's video player. Now it also has the tiktok upright phone style resolution for shorts. But a lot of shorts just get reuploaded as regular landscape orientation videos. So in short; don't be lazy, recrop your video orientation to the upload format since you have the source files. Otherwise I'll continue to roast it. Especially when the video orientation is targeted for the audience mentioned at the opening "with a low attention span."
@@xkankesx oh no he's gonna continue to roast it. You sound crazy saying "don't be lazy" too considering I work about 12 hours a day. Calm down it's not that serious.
Thumbs up for the shade thrown at brain rot.
😊😊😊
No need to insult your viewers or annoy them just as the video is about to start.
Lmao.. you seem way too delicate.. must be a dem
Nah there's definitely need 🙏🏼

I like them being at a disadvantage though it's nice to see them w their backs against the walls

I could watch more if you can work on your vocal fry. It's distracting and it takes attention away from the details.
