I am going to be taking James and some of his classmates out for some shoreline education sessions in the summer. If we have any dates free would anyone else be interested? Government restrictions allowing of course. 😊
Wanted to do similar with my wee man's school but my work PVG (for a school) doesn't cover me for a different school. And the staff didn't want the kids getting dirty. Hope you have better luck than me lol
I could watch these for hours at a time. Your respect for the sea and it’s creatures is truly wonderful. Thank you for sharing these adventures with us!
I don't even live close to the sea and still am mesmerized by watching your videos and how connected you are to nature. Thank you so much for sharing all these insights. I now even think about traveling to Cornwall some one day.
Hey John - Been watching your content for well over a year now, and just wanted to say thank you for the peace and serenity you bring me. What's more, is it's been a large contributing factor to me going back into education to try and become an ecologist/marine ecologist. Thank you.
Another great video John, I came initially for the fishing but now addicted to the foraging videos. My kids love spending hours in the rock pools around us (Padstow way) and your videos have enabled me to sound like I know what I’m talking about 😁
It was so cute how the squat-lobster seemed so much calmer around you after you removed its parasite. I know I'm anthropomorphizing the little critter, but it always feels like creatures are saying _'Thank you!'_ when they do that~
@@TheFishLocker Even some bugs will display gratitude, at times. It's bizarre behavior to see from creatures with brains smaller than a grain of couscous, but always such a warm feeling. They always know~
I love your videos all the way from the center of New York State. I love them all but the diving vids are my absolute favourite! Thank you all the time!
(A) only marked down because it was too short! Always brilliant, educational and relaxing add to that great commentary and filming. Nice that your taking James and other children out on the beach to educate them. It used to happen when I was in primary school in the very early sixties, it should be part of the curriculum and coupled with education on litter and the need to conserve, perhaps the future would be in better hands.
Sadly now there is so much red tape for things like this it often fails before it even gets started. Some things you just cannot learn in the classroom. 😊
Hello again to my friend on the other side of the pond ! Another fine video.I'm sure you have been told this many times but the nice thing about your videos are that if it's your first time watching or a long time viewer....All you videos are very informative and educational. Anyways my friend...You and your family stay safe and healthy. Hopefully we will be on the water chartering next week. CHEERS MATE !
I've been watching for months but I still really appreciate your "basic" videos like this with the scientific names and such. I have worked on inland waters so this ocean stuff is new to me. Thanks for your hard work on the vids.
These videos of yours are absolutely wonderful. It's great to go beachcombing with you and so interesting to listen to your commentary. How did you ever learn so much about coastal environment?
Hi John. I'll have to come down your way and go for a forage to get some green snake locks for my native marine aquarium series I'm doing. All the best Mark
I absolutely could watch you doing this for hours. So interesting. You are to the sea creatures what Steve Erwin was to Crocks. Few people cared much about crocks and even feared them until he came along. You show up on the Sean and make tide pools way more interesting than they already are. Please keep making videos like this. BTW, cool accent.
I really enjoy the videos in which you teach us and show us different living organisms. As much as I find your family adorable, I enjoy the teaching videos the most! :) Thank you for all of the information and tip on how to forage properly.
I watched couple of these rock pooling videos already and you always manage to find different species in each video. It amazes me how fertile those waters are :)
The weather was perfect. Getting cold here now. Another wonderful video..you know some pretty interesting things about the ocean. Always a joy to watch and I always enjoy watching. Thank you.
OVER so soon, your latest, FL☹️ I could've watched you for another half hour @ least. Never mind there's always next w/e. A refreshing change just to have an 'Observers Guide to Seashore life.' THOROUGH & thoroughly enjoyable, as usual.

Well done on your 200k milestone John, it's not surprising given the professionalism & knowledge you impart in these videos, I thought I knew a thing or two but your knowledge & simple way of explaining everything is taking it to another level, these are the best videos of their kind on RUclips, well done & here's to the next milestone, all the best pal!!

You have a great love of nature John which is SO good to see, but unfortunately in too few people today, & you show great care of it as well. Lovely video, lots to see & all with your great, relaxing commentary. How could one not love your videos. Cheers mate, Don from South Aust. (Better late than never.)
Thanks john awesome video! Almost everything I find interesting about the coast has been on one of your videos look forward to these more than most films and TV shows Now!!! Stay safe mate!!!!!
Great vid as usual. My Daughter still loves rock pooling (As I still do) and she is 21 now!..The last time we had big easterly's (The Beast from the East) on our coast the stuff that got washed up was unbelievable,They even did a rescue mission for the Lobsters as people were taking them home by the wheelbarrow. The tons that got saved were taken out to deep water.Black Lug and razors everywhere and hundreds of Octopus plus fish species we never thought lived in the North sea.
at 16:40 for anyone interested, the velvet crab is blowing bubbles. They do it (as far as I know) for 2 reasons, defense, predators may think they are sick and avoid them. And it also helps build their oxygen up, kinda like mini scuba tanks
Thank# John for another wonderful video. Got to say I just love the markings on the Velvet swimming Crab. Lovely to see such a wonderful wealth of sea life . Thanks to my favourite adopted Cornishman for bring us a wealth of knowledge. Cheers mate, look forward to the next one.🎣👍👍🦞🦐🦑🦀🦞🦐🦑
