- Bullara Station is approx. 1250kms north of Perth and 90kms south of Exmouth, just below the bottom of the Exmouth Gulf.
We enjoyed 5 nights at the station and in this video, I'll show you around the amenities that make this a fantastic holiday destination for those of you who are looking for an outback station experience.
There are many attractions at Bullara Station and Friday night's burger night is definitely one of them. There's always entertainment on burger night and on Saturday afternoon, there's damper tasting....also with entertainment.

Brilliant video Riusty. We've been to Bullara Station twice previously (2015 and 2018) - but could not believe the number of people there during your stay....absolutely amazing! From memory during both our visits there would have been a maximum of 12 or 15 vans/campers!! But it even then it was a fantasitc place to spend a few days relaxing. During our stay in 2018 the station had it's first significant rainfall (about 80mm) in several years, the road out was flooded so we had to extend our stay by a couple of days! Good to see that Damper John is still going strong!!
Hi Mick, they get hundreds of people at Bullara during the school holidays! The damper and burger evenings are definitely a highlight.
Greta vid from the start to the end. In 2011 my wife and I travelled down the west coast of W.A. not knowing of W.A. much, but we want to Exmouth all the larger areas. The weather slowed us down at West Swan Caravan Pk, we intended to stay there for 3 nights and stayed for 5 nights. We had a great time in W.A..
By the way that Holden was a FB '62 model as my dad had one after that he had a EJ then went to the imported type a Triumph.
Thanks for your comments, Graeme. Glad you had a great time in WA, and also the video, too.
Wow, Blew me away with that video of Bullara Station. Thats on par with some caravan parks. The burger and Damper night looks yummy and packed. Nice looking cafe area, scones look to die for. That track to the gulf is it 2WD access. Liked the Rusty gate, no pun. Powered sites yes, what about water. Is it bring your own or can you hook up to water there. A really good video of the styles of stay and things to do there. Looks an awesome place to stay a while
G'day Russell, we had a great time at Bullara. There were over 300 people for the burger night, but apparently during school holidays, there can be up to 700!!
The scones, jam and cream were so good, we went back a couple of times. I reckon you could easily take a 2WD to the bottom of the gulf, as long as the track is dry.
Power and water are available for the campers, we were unpowered but had access to tap water near our campsite....hot water from the laundry for our dishes.
Bullara is a bit remote, but that's the beauty of the place. With Exmouth 90kms north and Coral Bay 60kms south, we spent a day going to each of those places, as we'd not been there for years and the sister-in-law and her hubby (our travelling companions) had never been.
If you're thinking of going, they're open from about April till the end of October, due to the hot weather.
How far advanced did you have to book?
Cost?
Road condition to get there?
Bullara Station is open from April till October. I can't remember how far ahead we booked, but I don't think it was too long....just remember that during the school holidays the place will be packed to overflowing.
We had an unpowered site but again, can't remember what we paid, but from memory, it wasn't too bad.
As for road conditions, it's not far off the main northwest coastal highway, between Coral Bay and Exmouth, so it's bitumen road pretty much all the way to the station turnoff.
Just found your channel.
Next time dont have the music so loud.
A bit more info about the station would have been great
Size,cattle, permanent woekers' ect
Hi Mick, thanks for the tip about the music....apologies if it was too loud.
As for the station details, it wasn't something I researched too well, but I'll include details of the next station we stay at.
Hello Rusty. I've just finished watching your excellent video. Bullard Station should think about making you their advertising manager. I guess the only reason they may not is because the place is choka block full without you. 😂 Seriously though I could not have asked for a better way to spend 30 minutes of my otherwise boring existence! Well, it's not that bad, I was comparing my life with yours and that's when I came up with that result. 🥲 Sad, but true. 😉 Thankyou Rusty, that was a great holiday for me to enjoy as well. Were I go there aren't too many other humans around. Gotta be extra quiet when I stumble upon a gram or two of that shiny yellow stuff. 🤫 Thanks again. I have only stumbled upon your channel a few days ago and I am definitely going to explore some more. Cya Cobber! 🇭🇲🤗🤗
Thanks Robbie, yeah it's a pretty popular spot for a holiday. They close down during summer because it gets well into the mid 40s and higher, so it's not very pleasant and the ocean is too far away. The gulf is up the road but not sure how safe it is to swim there.
I agree with you that holidays out by myself can be the best ones.
Hope you enjoy the videos on the channel and look out for new ones in the future.
