bro let me tell you, your videos have brought my striking game to an insane level, I have won all of my fights it competition and also outside of competition thanks to helping me develop my style and knowing what works, your videos may not be very popular but dont stop making videos because the content you make is very valuable
Thanks so much! You are too kind. I’m really glad to hear it’s helping your game. As you continue to work through this stuff please share your results and findings too
Thank you for saying so. I really appreciate it. I’ve been making some changes to improve presentation and quality but it’s hard to beat the algorithm.
No worries mate I think everyone in the comments agree Hard to beat the algorithm but I'm thinking of the example of Sam Sulek who doesn't do a lot of editing and still very popular Maybe you could try some A/B testing with a few videos to try stuff out Maybe also it has to do with the video titles? You could probably reach a broader audience with titles like "How Strickland beat Izzy" or "Why strickland was the antidote to Izzy" etc But at the same time people like myself click because we know it's a system breakdown so maybe there's a tradeoff (or maybe not, look at ppl like MPMD or Greg Doucette who mix it up to have popular videos and videos for hardcore fans) Just my 2cents, I'd be glad to have a chat about it if you like
@guillaumelane3374 the sound quality is better on the newer videos but the mic is still an issue for sure. I bought a decent mic but it’s not that great and it’s hard to find a good mic you can also move around with a lot
@@guillaumelane3374 for sure. I have tried playing around with different titles, but you run the risk of confusing and misleading watchers as you suggested. I don't really like doing clickbait. I think the next things I'm going to play with is getting a new mic, since mine is pretty awful, then trying to play around with doing more camera angles to make it more interesting to view. It's all trial and error. Mostly, I'm just happy people enjoy the content I produce. 2700 people doesn't seem like a lot on youtube, but if it were a room full of people, it would mean reaching a lot of people. That's pretty cool to me.
My man, spend some money to buy a good microphone. Good audio is crucial for RUclips contents. Your breakdown videos are awesome already, so with just a bit better audio, the videos will be much nicer to hear.
Yeah I figured out what I needed to do but I had actually tried 3 different mics and they didn’t work any better. If you watch the ilia Topuria video for example it’s a lot easier to hear now
I was expecting Izzy to make easy work of Strickland because I was wanting adesanya vs du plessis. I can’t wait to see how dricus vs Strickland plays out. Izzy was struggling to find his spot to plant and strike. Adesanya did land on Strickland but that was general strikes. Strickland landed vital strikes (which score more)
You covered the 1 to 2 counters to Sean’s Philly shell technique. Which would really be responding to that constant jab he throws. What are some disadvantages with what Sean does? What are the disadvantages of fighting out of a Philly shell you would say?
Because he backward evades pretty well it’s not a major issue with him being a bit flat footed but in other fighters it can be hard to stop the blitz. Also, most fighters are not as good at reading their opponent’s defense. The other issue is that the Philly shell doesn’t give the range management advantages of something like a long guard
@@DevilDogMartialArts- Appreciate that boss man. I currently train and I just like to pick the mind of different experts when it comes guards and what would be advantageous within them. For me, I’ve been using the Philly shell quite often in a Muay Thai gym and it’s had a lot of success. Appreciate it man and keep up the good insight!
I think pereira showed the gameplan in the 5th round of their first fight and in the second fight before the knockout: Izzy needs a rhythm to counter but when you have guys like strickland and pereira who don't have a rhythm and just pressure from the start to the finish that's a hughe problem for izzy he then trys to rebuild the pereira knockout by playing opossum. That's what izzy tried in the strickland fight because he doesn't had any other answer.
Yeah, against active pressure fighters, Izzy becomes easier to read because Izzy throws whenever his opponent closes the distance into kicking range. By constantly pressuring into kicking to boxing range, Strickland was able to draw out Izzy's offence, and nullify/counter it. Seems like pressure counter fighters are Izzy's kryptonite.
@@DevilDogMartialArts- Could also be why Izzy's Glory career was a short lived record of 2-2. No coincidence that Glory is full of dutch style pressure fighters that have a walk forward pressure boxing style....
I just updated it. I had taken it down for a bit while I was making some changes a few months ago and didn't put it back live. it's there for you now. ruclips.net/video/nJ-kU6bcdac/видео.html
Strickland’s arms are seriously long af. And it’s not talked about enough. Pause and watch when they’re trading jabs. He’s lying about his 76” reach it’s more like Jon jones level. Definitely had more range than Izzy did. Don’t think I’ve seen a single fight where it looked like an opponent had a similar one. That’s how he gets away with a lot of the stuff he does. If you’re not as rangey as him you cant really pull his style off

The number one threat to Sean at MW is terrible judges

@alecflanagan1793 Philly shell is the guard I use against good kickers and wrestlers, but outside of that I like the long guard
I’m turning off this randomly suggested video because sound is too quiet playing through speakers in my car as I’m driving.
