    It helps that Jeff's dad was a percussionist and he had a really good technical base to start from. Obviously he took that and added to it but confidence comes from knowing your instrument and knowing your craft and constantly wanting to improve. I like what he said that Jeff is still around in the way people talk about his playing. John Bonham is exactly like that as well.

    I can sense a lot of Jeff Porcaro in Shannon's drumming. I can tell Jeff was his "drum god" as is to most of us watching this interview. Jeff might be gone...but never forgotten.

    Even Steve Lukather regards Jeff the same way, when he talks about him and Steve is arguably the best at what he does too.
