Laughing doves are tolerant for that. They can accept touching their babies if it's not too frequent. I had four nests on my balconies and I always touch the babies (who can resist, to be honest!) And feed the parents. They never abandoned the babies.
This advice only applies to certain animals, but not to birds. Birds do not have a very good sense of smell and they don't rely on scent to identify their babies. As long as the babies stay in the nest and don't go too far away from their nest when they're ready to leave it, the parent birds would come back for their babies.
Mom and Dad take turns warming up eggs/chicks, the male during the day and the female at night. The term laughing dove is usually given to the ring neck dove for the sound they make.
Cute chicks! They usually come back to the nest area for several days, and their parents accompany them for at least a week to show them how to look for food and water. If they don't come back at all perhaps something scared them away.
N T, Yes, the guy with the camera on top of them that's who scared them away. The camera has a zoom lens why not use it instead of being so darn close. This was one annoying video. I couldn't watch it all.
Pleaseeee replyyy. I saved a little dove child and my mom says that will leave him after sometime bcz he is a bird and he dont want to stay at home so please reply should we leave him?? Will he adjust himself outside? Bcz he got habit of staying with humans
@@lifegoals8143 no we dont put him in cage, he is free at our home the diff is that we dont allow him to go outside the home. And before a month it happened that by mistake he flewed away from our home and after a day we saw him at our neighbours terrace, and there he was sitting nd our neighbours were taking him in the cage, thankgod that we saw him otherwise he would have been in cage for lifetime. So just asking that whether he will adjust himself outside or not.
Then better to keep him as a pet . Doves are social and they can even make bonding with humans. This dove of mine came and laid eggs in the same pot 3 times .
@@lifegoals8143 oh god. But I do study and next year I have to go for job and no one will be there to takecare of him so thats why we want to leave him
I've never heard of a laughing dove until now. I thought these were mourning doves and "laughing" was a term I hadn't known. I guess the joke's on me xD

You can film it but not bothering and repeatedly touching the mom nor her chicks. That’s why one of them left the nest too early

Exactly! For some reason people allow themselves to interfere in natural process which is wrong. That’s why the baby dove left the nest too early
