Where do you live? I'm personally intrigued by you having Ukrainian surname and speaking English so fluently. Did you learn English as a foreign language or grew up in an English-speaking family living abroad?
I am a Drummer. Have been for 50 years. Such a joy to watch your progression thru the years. Plus you have the cleanest, classiest kit setup on RUclips!
You are a great drummer. Never stop. You have a beautiful voice. I admire your energy. Awesome appetite. You need the fuel for drumming. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you for saying age has nothing to do find a good teacher. It's how much wants to give to get back themselves.
Honestly, you can never go wrong in a girl digging Limp Bizkit, dogs and drumming 😂😍. Funny thing is, my elder sister had a ticket for the Chocolate Starfish Tour here in Erfurt back in 2001, but as Fred Durst had suffered a back injury a few nights before (I think in Bremen), the concert was cancelled without substitution. So she reimbursed the ticket and got a 3-day-pass for the Highfield Festival the following year, thus coming across bands like Incubus and so on. She bought the CDs and got me hooked too. That's how it went. Memories, memories...
You’re so right about age not being a limiting factor to learning. I quit my job at the age of 40 and then taught myself to program and now I am a software developer. I also play the drums on the side too of course haha 😊
Probably, you are smart, above the average level. It compensates. Most people sink while trying to learn programming being adults without a proper background. (Source: 15 years of experience in software engineering and 5 years of technical interviewing experience)
i dont care how busy i am, when one of your alerts popup that u've posted a new video, i stop what im doing and check it out. Your videos are so great, they always lift me up. Keep on killing it K. 🙂
Kristina always here to remind me that I really am the only one standing in my own way at this point. Honestly, I think the question a lot of potential cover artists have is, How the heck do you get yourself to just do it at first? Like, how do you get past feeling like it might not be good enough, the negative comments that almost certainly will come and can make you feel like you failed, getting through videos that just don't have views, and uploading anyway. Stuff like that. Just as an amatuer or starting out cover artist, how do you get over confidence barriers that are kind of natural to RUclips and similar platforms? (I SWEAR I'll upload again eventually, lol. Actually, I think I might. I feel good about Crazy=Genius, but I've taken a lot longer than a couple hours to get there, lol.)
Look it's very simple. All you need to do is work work work. Keep practicing. It might take a very long time, or not very long. It depends entirely on how much you practice per day Also, cover songs is an excellent way to get better at an instrument because it forces you to play things you're not naturally good at. It expands your vocabulary in an important way As far as negative comments, don't worry about them at all. If you watch your covers, you'll know if they're accurate or well performed or not. If you nail a song, people will still leave negative comments, or even make personal attacks. It's the internet. The only criticism worth caring about is valid criticism. Constructive criticism can be extremely important for a drummer as well as listening to your own recordings When I was younger, everyone used to kiss my ass and tell me how amazing I was. But at a certain point I started to notice every recording of myself there are mistakes. I didn't realize til it was too late that although I certainly have high level capability, my reliability and precision is terrible. I'm still trying to fix that til this day (doesn't help that I stopped playing for 10 years lol). Don't let that happen to you because once you establish bad habits they can be tough to break
You actually inspired me and my son to start our RUclips channel. Then a friend from work, took my phone off my bench, used my face to unlock it, and he started the RUclips channel for me as a surprise! 😂

Hearing that one of your favorite albums is Chocolate Starfish made me an even bigger fan!!! The drumming on that album is phenomenal. John Otto has such an amazing style snd groove.

Honest question as a fellow musician: First off you’re incredibly talented my dear.So I been workin on recordings in my condo for my guitar covers/loops etc.. what is your neighbor situation (complaint wise) like? Any suggestions for noise reduction. Or isolated house only realistic option
I live in a apartment and I play electric kit. I have to play at earlier hours and I still try not to play to loud. An electric is the way to go in apartment complex.
This is an amazing video!! And I have been waiting for it, kept checking to see if it's up. And yes, I would love to see another video like this. This time I have a question. How come you are not playing in a band? Or are you? Did you? Planing to? Not allowed to? Tell me everything about you being in a band, past, present and future, as much as you are comfortable to talk about it!! 😊
Great Q & A Kris - and you're advice about the hardest part of what you do - just get started - is great advice and it really applies to just about anything - if you can get from having a vision of something you would like to do, to actually start doing it - the more you do it the easier it becomes - and the better you become at it. And you can rest assured - whatever plans or goals you have for yourself to accomplish in the future - you will accomplish them - especially because you recognize that even a failure isn't the end - it is only a learning experience and a teachable moment - I'm very happy for you and on a side note - your audio recordings are the best I've ever heard when it comes to drums - you are on par and often even better than the audio recordings of drums on millions of popular songs - and I'm speaking as a musician (guitar, bass, keyboards) and an Executive who works for the oldest speaker manufacturer in the U.S. (Klipsch) - I know good audio when I hear it - and because drums are so dynamic in nature - they are the hardest to reproduce with a recording - so - keep up the good work! Cheers from Florida

Hi, I’ve just found out your channel. I’m watching your videos one after another, they’re really great! I don’t play drums, I can only strum a little on the guitar, I just like to watch you play… I’ve seen you did some really cool songs, so keep up the good work! I don’t know if I can ask you this here, but are you going to do some TOOL cover?? I really hope so! 🤞 Cheers from Italy!
That's useful, I'm a guitarist, with trouble keeping time so I figure a cheapo e-drums set would be cool to learn and occasionally record and stuff. Bass too. That probably first, I can apply more of my guitar knowledge. But the strings are kinda fat for my little fragile guitarist paws.
Want me to make another Q&A video? Ask your questions!😉

This was a great video, Kris. Thank you! Very informative.
When I was a kid, we had a black Labrador. He was the kindest big dog we had.
Cheers from Italy!
Thank you, go on!
Thank you for letting us get to know about you
That's useful, I'm a guitarist, with trouble keeping time so I figure a cheapo e-drums set would be cool to learn and occasionally record and stuff. Bass too. That probably first, I can apply more of my guitar knowledge. But the strings are kinda fat for my little fragile guitarist paws.
You’re English is so good!
Good luck, Kristina. 💪
She don’t need luck with her talent and also being adorable kinda… She need a hairstylist
@@ctrlartdel So, and what if she loses friends or relatives in the war? War is totally evil and so on ...
