thanks Josh, I havened heard this for many years. I gave my record collection to a guitar store in College Park, Maryland to see them become floor covering. King Crimson, Cream, Jethro tull; it was worse than a car, motorcycle or guitar. Asoy geht es (that's German-Jewish slang called Yiddish for [well, so it goes])
I found this song on Dailymotion but it had a lower pitch&same notes than the original one on the band's official channel. I love that version. I voice-recorded it from my phone then I couldn't find that video ever again. This started with lower pitch than the official too but this isn't the version I found, which makes me happy and sad at the same time.( I wonder if the official vid has a high pitch caused by recording techniques but can't find an answer on internet.) I love this song thanks for uploading
A little birdie told me that it is from the BBC Radio Sessions in 1969. Obivously, I could be wrong. But, for those who wanna look into it, maybe, this information would be useful?
The other songs from this radio session are included on the "Epitaph" Box Set, which can be found on Spotify, but because that CD is from 1997 it does not include "I Talk to the Wind" as the recording of that song was lost until 2006 I believe.
Thanks for uploading this version! I've been trying to find it for ages. Any idea where it's from? Was it a performance done on a TV or radio show of some kind?
Sadly I have no idea, lol. I didn't even realize the extent to which there's no information available about this version anywhere online. I've asked in a group that might have some answers though, so I'll reply if they get back to me. This is the highest quality recording unfortunately. The other 2 songs from this Broadcast are available in very high quality as they come from the BBC's archives, but they wiped the tape with I Talk to the Wind so the only version that exists is a home recording (what you're listening to here) that was discovered in 2006 I believe.
I'd never heard this version before and it might be one of my favourites now. Where did you find it??? I'm sure it's somewhere in the new 1969 tapes but I don't have the money for that thing

Yes, this is from 6th May 1969 from John Peel's show on BBC Radio. This is one of 3 songs from that broadcast, and was the only one missing from the BBC's Master Tapes (hence the bad quality). Interestingly the Radio broadcast this is taken from is the very earliest recording of King Crimson known to exist.
