    Directed by Jérôme Tanon.
Starring : Thomas Delfino, Léo Taillefer, Zak Mills, Yannick Graziani, Hélias Millerioux, Jérôme Tanon.
The intimate travel diary of an incredible Freeride expedition into the heart of the Karakoram range. The search for one of the most beautiful mountains to ski on the planet, standing at 5880m. An adventure so remote, so high, so committed that no mistakes were allowed. During five weeks, the crew pushed deeper and deeper inside Pakistan, with a 150 km loop in complete autonomy, pulling sleds filled with food, tents and solar panels across gigantic glaciers. As far from home as one can get. A meeting point of Freeriding and Mountaineering. A true adventure.

@rashidaq actually everyone is waiting for the corona to go in hell and the curfew to be removed to just experience the beauty of the kashmir. But one fact that nobody can't deny is that there are militants who is harming the country only because of that curfew is being applied. I'm saying that because I was in kashmir in july 2019 and rested with a well known muslim family. They only told me......there are militants all over here..and you are safe until you are within the boundary of a kashmiri's home and it was 11PM when he offered us a free stay and food with great assurance of being safe.

Maybe it's just me: I was touched by the different level of respect that these guys paid to the culture and the people while being abroad. Making the effort to learn a bit of the language, appreciating everything including the hardships with a positive mindset. Thomas respecting the risk, nature and his own limits while giving up on a dream of his was impressive.
This was a bunch of guys enjoying the experience to the fullest, not a bunch of Westerners hunting for records and instagram posts first and foremost while missing the bigger picture. Respect and I wish you guys safe travels and adventures!

Totally agree. Having travelled to many remote places the best thing is being with the people there. On my last trip to Kazakstan last year I had the most amazing guide. He couldn't speak English, I couldn't speak Russian or Kazak, but we just striked up a proper friendship. That was last summer and we're still in contact with each other now. Difficult travel is the most rewarding, seeing the most amazing of places.

The most famous highest peaks are not the best or nicest or most technical. That goes for mt blanc, Everest, Kilimanjaro and many others. HOWEVER it’s nice to tick the popular famous ones off and good beer banter. No benefit down the pub/bar in bragging about summiting a peak no ones heard of so it’s nice to name drop some that they recognize 😆

My son has been here, walked frozen rivers up passes, climbed, stayed within tiny villages, drank yak tea, snowboarded unknown places and now travels the world guiding. The terrorism starter in 2007. Why? Because pakistan is partnering with usa against war on terror. When American bombed Afghanistan, some of its government came to Pakistan. As there was no concept of border between 2 countries. Both have shared cities and towns and villages on zero line.
When we side we usa. There is a resentment but when usa started bombing us, to hunt those Afghans who have hidden in pakistan and many pakistanis too die in those attacks. That created hate and the attacks started against Pakistani government for siding with usa.
This was not our war. We sided with usa and that why we are punished.
But we have done huge operations in 2013 to clear our areas. Border with Afghanistan is fenced.
Its just 30 to 40 lakh Afghans refugees who create problems. But things are much better now. This area shown in documentary never seen any terrorism or even crime. The police stations are just empty.

I am pretty sure the night walkers would have frozen their ass off here. I had no idea Pakistan was so amazingly beautiful. I did some googling and was amazed to find out that 5/14 eight-thousanders peaks are in Pakistan. They have 108 peaks above 7,000m and 4,555 peaks above 6,000m and infinite peaks above 5,000m. The whole of N. America has 1 peak around 6,000m and not a single peak in Europe above 5,000m. Unbelievable!!

Mind-blowing scenes. The Camera man needs to be given a noble prize for his wonderful work which is par-excellence. We salute the all the brave protagonists. Salutation to all the pakistani helpers, without whom this expedition wouldn't have been possible. Three cheers to the Frenchman for guiding the youths. Hope to visit such beautiful places, one day and experience the Pakistani hospitality. God bless you all.

Stewart Low covid 19 is a joke lol. Hasn’t been relevant since April. Maybe if one political party hadn’t tried to weaponize the virus against their citizens and commit an unconstitutional lockdown in parts of the country then we would be back and running already. Numbers are inflated and people here haven’t worn masks in several months and we are fine. Overhyped virus nothing more we now need to reopen and get back to normal. I personally have not worn a mask since April and I’m perfectly fine so are all my coworkers that I see every day. Don’t live in fear. Go forth and live your life. 🇺🇸

One of the best snowboarding, skiing mountaineering inspiring films I've ever seen. Love it when the two cracks appeared in the snow and he just says no too dangerous lets get down as soon as possible. Know the limits! Know what happens when you push past them. A huge example of sensible choices giving you the chance to try it another day or be satisfied that you got that far and lived to tell the tale. Absolutely brilliant. I just wish I had one of these bloody mountains in my back garden though!

Largest ambulance network in the world, EDHI ambulance. 5th largest military force. Biggest manufacturer of footballs, soccer balls in the world. 2nd biggest producer of dates. 4th biggest producer of rice. Largest water irrigation network in the world Alhamdulillah. We Americans have been snowed. After 911 this area was prominent in the news. Always portrayed as extremely primitive; nothing but boulders and quite uncivilized. Who would know it is more beautiful than our own country? Thank you for posting this video, and opening my eyes at least to the really surprising truth.
