Picked it up 5 days ago. Just spent the past four days on it all day. Seriously fantastic board! Thanks for the rec!
This is my favorite board in 15 years of riding, it slays everything. I just ordered a second in case there is no 2025 Resort Twin, and if there is I'll buy that too.
if its a 58 want to sell it? since they came out with a new one and all :)
picked one up, gonna throw some clews on, go back in time, hit the 60 footer at keystone and shatter my ankles. thanks!
1.21 Jiggawatts
Your thoroughness never goes under appreciated.
What size do you think I should go with 154 or 156? East coast VT resort and park cruising. 165lbs. Size 10.5 boots. 41 year old rad dad who still likes to run through the park and butter into ski school to pick up my kids
Another banger, thanks angry! Gonna be ripping this bad bay this spring and all next season 🔥🔥
Just snagged the 160! Best snowboard I’ve ever ridden. At size 12 boots, 6’ and 155 lbs this thing is still a beast. Feels a touch long but the width is perfect. She is fast and I have been lapping the park with it. Wish my hill was bigger as this thing urns to turn. Also the base is unreal smooth. Feels amazing on rails and is suuuuuper slippery. Absolutely stoked. Thanks for the rec angry. Love spring breaks. Happy to own/ride their second twin board.
Been waiting for this one!
Big fan of Spring Break
Hey Angry,
I’m between this and indoor survival both 160cm. I ride the BSOD 162 as my daily driver and I’m looking for something a little more playful for spring park days, and days I’m riding with less advanced riders.
Thanks
I'm between the same two boards
Hey Angry,
I’m an intermediate rider and I’m looking for a new board that is all mountain but more focused on the freestyle aspect. I ride east coast mainly in North Carolina so conditions vary quite a lot. I’m really wanting to get into park this season and make an effort to succeed, but I’m not quite sure what board to choose. The current options I’m looking at are the Ride Manic, Salomon sleepwalker, Salomon Huck knife, and the Bataleon Evil twin or evil twin plus. Which board should I go with? Please feel free to recommend any other board you see as a better fit. I’m not opposed to past years models if they perform better than current ones
Grab this.
Thanks for the review! I'm torn between the Aeronaut and this board. Currently have a 23/24 Ride Algorythm, but wanting something a bit more playful for the side hits and rollers. I'm a pretty aggressive rider and am loving the Ride Algorythm, but am interested in expanding my horizons. I'm 6'3" and weigh 210 pounds with a size 13 boot, my Algorythm is a 164W. Aeronaut comes in a wide while this one obviously doesn't. With that being said, should I avoid the resort twin? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated and thank you for all your videos!
If you want something more playful you don’t want an Aeronaut.
@@AngrySnowboarder makes sense! I appreciate your reply and your reviews!
Hi very nice review !
For all moutain/freestyle I'm hesitating between the Springbreak Resort Twin, the Burton Free Thinker and the Salomon Assassin Pro, which one would you suggest ? :)
Btw I'am and advanced rider.
Thank you.
This
thanks my good sir !@@AngrySnowboarder
Angry, if you were gonna buy it for a personal board would you stay with the 156 they sent? Or would you bump up to the 158?
I’d probably stay with the 56 and use it for more park riding.
I've noticed that you recommend the SBRT over the Indoor Survival in most cases. Is there a purpose or rider type where the Indoor would be a better fit? Or is there just so much overlap that this is the better choice out of the two in any circumstance? Thanks Angry. Appreciate your input and all that you do.
They're both great boards.
I have ridden both in the last week. The indoor is a monster. I was on a 158w. Three days in a park and was very confident riding it. Felt a bit sluggish in two instances with the wide width but it was a very impressive fun board. Just picked up the sb rt and I have to say it is a way dinner board. The base is slippery. It’s so it’s slightly skinnier. If I had a choice I’d choose the sb rt personally because the spring breaks are just cool. The base makes this thing feel really fun though. The camber profile is similar as well but the wah pow reversed on the tip and tail is a little more playful than the full camber indoor. I’d say if you charge jumps and ride big terrain the indoor may serve you better there. But if you are cruising park laps and having fun the spring break is perfect for what’s it named for.
@@nicholasthomas9587 Interesting to hear that especially since the specs show these boards to be identical in all of their measurements, even the WahPow up kicks. The only thing different are the profiles and composition. Did you find the Indoor being noticeably snappier?
"The Midwest Mercury" dig!
Thoughts on paring this board with either Union Force or Ultras? The Ultra sound fun, but as someone who doesn't live in the park, do you think it'll end up being sloppy. Really i'm looking for a fun all mountain ride that i can easily take on groomers, between trees, and on the hunt for kickers along the way. Thanks in advance for any advice guys.
Then get the Forces.
Hey Angry, you did ride the 156 with around 200lbs. Did you have the feeling ou have been "too heavy" for this thing or would you say it did not matter being heavier than the recommended riders weight? Cheers J*
Yeah that’s the size I rode. Felt fine to me but I typically ride a 55 to 58 for my daily. If anything was a little softer in the tips being at the top of the weight range but not enough to kill the board.
@@AngrySnowboarder If it works it's great! I drive my Party Mod in a 153 and love it. I weigh about 180 pounds, so I might even consider the 154. Should still work as a fun daily driver. Have you bought a resort twin in the meantime? Cheers J*
Nope, but thought about buying one.
Hey Angry, grabbing this as a my daily next year! What would be a good pow focused freeride to pair with this?
6'2 185Ibs, size 10 boot
Looking at:
Ravine select
Excavator
Nitro Dinghy
Yes PYL
Other?
Needs to handle Sierra cement powder that gets tracked out, high speed groomer carving and side hits.
I'd do either Ravine Select or PYL UnInc.
@AngrySnowboarder meant to ask. Do you know of next year's Rome Ravine is called the Pro instead of select. Is it just a name change or specs changing too?
There's the Ravine and Then Ravine Pro. All Select models are going to Pro for branding but spec-wise they're similar. Big difference I'm finding is they got ride of the Bamboo Omega Hotrod and are just using a Carbon Hot Rod on things.
Hey Angry -- I fluctuate between 175-185 lbs. Would you suggest a 156 or 158 for this board? Based on their spec sheet I think that'd be closer to the 158 range but see you're riding the 156 (I'm probably overthinking but more inclined to go shorter/lighter if I can get away with it).
56
Hi Angry, would This SB Resort Twin or Rome Warden be a better all-mountain resort progressing intermediate rider with occasional tree pow runs and a little bit of park? Also I am 185lbs with US8.5 boots, 154 or 156 for SB twin and 155 Rome Warden? Thank you!
Warden.
Hey, I can't decide between 154 and 156 for this board. I'm 5'11 and 155-160 lbs. I mostly ride groomers and off-piste, sometimes park (medium jumps, small rails). I want it to be more of a allrounder. Would you suggest 154 or 156. Thanks
54
thanks@@AngrySnowboarder
I’m buying this or the yes greats unic….stuck between the 2. What attributes would you say differentiate the two?
Sidecut, flex, camber profile, and sidecut technology.
Just picked up the 58 after a long time trying to find after I saw the 25 graphic and needed this. Thinking of getting mega merc 25 to compliment it . Has the ride of the mega changed in 2025 compared to the 1st generation?
5’9 165 lbs currently have a 154 box scratcher. Really like this board and was thinking about getting it in a 156 but would there be much point in having both?
No.
Hey Angry, which one would you recommend for an low-intermediate rider who likes speed but also started learning tricks last season and wants more, this or the DOA? I'm not interested in freeride or pow, just want a board that will help me reach a higher skill level on resort and maybe also on park when I'll feel more confortable with the tricks.
This
@@AngrySnowboarder Thank you!
Looking at the new one for 2025 but not sure what size to get. im 5'11 and 176lbs, would you recommend the 156 or 158? btw my boot size is 10.
You can go either way but probably more the 56.
@@AngrySnowboarder thx for the fast reply!
Hey Angry, I'm looking for a board for an intermediate rider to tackle the whole resort and begin to learn some freestyle, while handling the often poor conditions of eastern Canada. Basically something with the room for them to progress and figure out what they want to focus on. I was thinking between the yes basic, yes typo, and the resort twin. Think one of these is best, or any other recommendations?
I'd do the Typo as it has the best edge hold of those three.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks!
Get to ride mine next week!
I have never snowboarded before but my friend recommended this board for me. I’m 6’ 3 210. Please advise? Thank you
Stop listening to your friend.
Hi Avran, which is the better twin carver? This or Yes Greats?
Depends on what you want honestly. The Greats has edge tech and is asym, the RT is a normal sidecut. Both carve equally the same in my opinion except in regards to the asym and added grip.
You think they gonna restock this 2024 design for this upcoming szn?
Uh no, they're putting out the 2025 graphic like every other brand on the planet.
I think I’ve settled on this board, you say you weigh 200 and went with the 156, I weigh 205 and am 6’5”, would it make that much of a difference between the 158 and 160?
Your call.
This or indoor survival? Ik you like both so maybe what should be the deciding factor of which I should pick?
How it tastes
@@AngrySnowboarder which tastes better for a do it all board?
Give each a nibble and see.
Would you recommend this board for an older person switching from skiing to snowboarding?
No.
This or Mercury to pair with a peace seeker? I used to have Mercury and I loved it but sb resort twin looks good too.
Either
Been debating between this and the doa any thoughts how do you compare the two?
Usually by riding them both and figuring out the differences.
What's your pick this or ride deep fake? I'm 5'11, 225lb, boot size 10.5- 11. Riding all over the mountain with some park. Looking to upgrade from my 90s Vision board.
Ones a twin all mountain freestyle board the other is a directional slightly tapered all mountain freeride board. Kind of oppposite ends of the all mountain spectrum. That 90's vision board is basically a rental.
@@AngrySnowboarderreally appreciate the quick response! Would these two combined then be considered a double quiver killer then? (Any recommendations on a single quiver killer?) The true twin I'm taking it would be more for your freestyle park while the deep fake would be better for the whole mountain?
I had been looking at a Burton custom. Came across your channel last night. Seems I almost made the mistake of just paying for a brand name.
Any recommendations on bindings and boots? Having a Dad bod middle section makes it a bit difficult to get bindings on. Any recommendations for back entry or step ons? If not I'll just need to shed some weight.
I ride in the NW in the Rocky's in Idaho, Targhee, Jackson Hole, small resort just 10min down the road, Kelly Canyon.
Best boot is the one that fits your foot and fits your needs. All reviews have binding recommendations at the end.
If you're doing park get a twin, if you're doing more freeride then don't get a twin.
@@AngrySnowboarder solid responses much appreciated! Have you an opinion on Never Summer Proto Slinger compared with this one?
It's a pile of shit.
If you had the choice, pick this up or go with the mercury?
Yes
Thinking between SB Resort Twin and Capita Ultrafear Camber. What would you say are the main differences between these two?
Flex and pop
@@AngrySnowboarder But which one has more flex and which has more pop? I checked their specs online but I don't believe much in what they write there anymore..
Planning on getting this, I’m 6’0 155 what size do you recommend ?
52
Hey angry I loved my old Asymmulator 156, but got rid of it because it didn’t quite seem to support me at 6’3 200lb off slightly bigger jumps and a bit of speed.
This is a bit wider and seems to have a little more stiffness and was wondering if I could get away with the 156 a little better on it. It would be my Big Bear deck and I am between this and the 156 greats. It would be paired with my Algo that I love and got off your rec that I ride at mammoth, and when I am lucky enough to head up your way. Thanks and appreciate it as always.
I'd go with this.
Other than the directionality, how would you compare the resort twin to the shadowban ?
Less damp more responsive.
How is the quality of the top sheet and base? doing research some people saying it breaks down and knicks quite easily
If you don't run into shit like a moron then it's fine, if you do stupid shit prepare for the stupid prize like those people.
What’s the difference between the SB Powder twin vs the SB Resort Twin
This a serious question? Come on man watch the reviews of both and then ask yourself do I even need to ask this question.
I’m between this or the jones mountain twin. Which would you suggest?
The one that fits your needs.
I’m on the west coast and main mammoth and bear. Most of the time I like to cruise and carve down the mountain with a little butter here and there.
I do have a question for you though angry. I'm at 6'2 and 190 lbs and I've generally ridden the recommended sizes of around 160-162. I'd say I'm an intermediate rider who is confident in carving and handling terrain. Lately I've been wanting to start advancing my park skills such as butters, jumps, and boxes. Do you think I could start moving down in size or do you think the return I'll get from continuing to practice on a 160 will do just fine?
Btw I'm currently riding this board in a 160 w/ a pair of C-6 bindings.
Go with what you know.
What size boot are you?
Hey Angry, would you recommend this board in 156 for people that weigh 200lbs even tough Capita recommends it for people below 175lbs?
It'll work it's just going to be softer.
@@AngrySnowboarder ok thank you
Does it work on ice? If not, what board is same as that one, but with icy snow option?
Can you ride ice? Do you know how to keep your edges sharp? Did you answer yes? Then there you go!
@@AngrySnowboarder Cool, thanks for the answer! There is always some distinction, for example between Salomon edge hold and yes/mervin edge hold.
Ride more over think later.
Hey angry. Running a outer space living from 19/20 55w. I rode the spring break asym twin and loved it. Wondering if this in in the 160 form will be similar. Ride lots of park and bomb everything. My local hill is small and is pure park. Will go to the mountains a few times also so will need to be able to run there decent as well. It’s either this or maybe a doa in the wide guy. Two sizes available there at my local shop as well. Which would you do? Doa or this? Thanks!
It's not asymmetrical but I'd say get this.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks! Confirming what I thought. Appreciate the vids and feedback. Awesome channel.
What size for 185lbs 10.5 boot 6’3” mainly want a skateboard type of feel. Small Midwest hills.
54
I’m 160lb 10.5boot, should I go for 154 or 155w?
I'd do the wide, more stability.
Do you recommend this to a beginner. I was told do stay away from Flying V/ rocker profiles and stick with a camber because I can develop bad habits.
No
How does the chatter compare to the Merc? Hate the chatter in the Merc, so not sure if I should look at the Outsiders instead. Still looking for a lazy day compliment to my BSOD (which I love).
Don’t even know if the outsiders will give you what you want. Might need to go to a different brand.
@@AngrySnowboarder still kicking myself for selling my Asymulator, wish they made it again in 158
Size 12 boot, what would you say is better for park/street, this in a 158 or the outsiders in a 156w?
You're going to want a wide for sure. Neither of them would be my first choice for going in the street.
@@AngrySnowboarder What would you recommended from Capita for street?
Ultrafear or DOA.
Is the 154 too wide for 7,5 mens boots? (I am 5’8”, 143 lbs btw)
Yes
Get angry I’ve been looking to get a snowboard but I’m shorter at 5’6 but weigh 180 what would be a good length snowboard for me
154 to 156
Hey, I live in Alaska and currently have a skeleton key for the top of the mountain and a good all arounder. I'm looking for a board to compliment my other for the bottom of the mountain and the parks. Do you think this would be a good match or does anyone have any other recommendations? This second board I am looking for it to be a true twin, softer to mid flex, good at jibs and butters, and also good enough to handle some jumps maybe a large one once in a while.
Buy this.
Hey Angry,
I’m a fairly advanced rider and mostly ride Mammoth, Tahoe, and Big Bear. I’ve been looking for an all-mountain board that excels in off-piste riding (steeps to side hits) but can rip a park lap or two if needed. I have a couple year old Niche Pyre that I love for its dampness and flex and am looking for something similar for when there’s not 12” of fresh. Was looking at resort twin, mercury, assassin, thunderstorm, or jones mountain twin etc, any suggestions? Thanks!
Ride Algorhythm.
@@AngrySnowboarderQuick with it, thanks Angry!
Wide versions vs Powder twin for park?
200lb, sz 13 boots
You probably want the wide version.
Sold out on EVO already 😮
This or the Jones Mountain Twin for an all mtn quiver killer? Half groomers, half park. Like this design better lol but maybe JMT would fit my needs better?
They’ll both work. This will be way better in the park though.
is this board no longer being made, or is it just out of stock
Hot seller.
Unrelated question, do you know if unstrapped is coming back?
Doesn’t look that way.
@@AngrySnowboarder that sucks.
So Angry, If I wear a size 12 boot should I just forget about this board all together? Thanks
Is there a wide option? No? There’s your answer!
The 158 and 160 are basically wides with waist widths at 260 and 262. I also have size 12 boots and have never had a problem with 258 or wider even doing euro carves.
Live in the midwest and mostly just bombing groomers, buttering around a bit of jibbing and messing around in the park. Big maybe a colarado trip once a season. Im getting older (39). Not looking for a board to go win xgames but just a great all arounder for whatever I want to ride without having 10board quiver. 2 standouts for me are this spring break resort twin or marhar darkside. This springbreak seems like the better choice except marhar is local and if i run into any warranty issues being 30minutes away from them seems convienent. They both seem to be decent jack of all trades but what do you think. Currenly on a dc pbj which is tons of fun but thinking something a little more all mountain might be the right move
Get the Marhar.
@AngrySnowboarder so talked to the guys at marhar and my boards getting built this week, if its not done by the weekend they will toss me a demo for the weekend. Love it. That said I grabbed a pair of the new '24 union forces. Wasnt on your good pair list for the darkside but do you think its a good pairing?
Trying to decide between this and the Yes typo.. anyone got any thoughts?
Can we get a review of the Fendi snowboard? Fendi only charging 5500 euros for it. Good for the culture (but for real if you haven’t seen it consider it. Definitely worth the laughs)
You buying it for us?
Hell yeah. Ill throw in a gucci track suit baselayer😄@@AngrySnowboarder
Why do you think you should be riding directional twins?
Cause I'm old.
@@AngrySnowboarder how’s little extra nose help with that? Gets you over the chunder and thunder (ice) easier?
I can grab it easier.
Sweet
The camber and twin shape reminds me a lot of my DOA. How does it compare in regards to feel and ride?
Less DOA and more like the Indoor Survival.
@@AngrySnowboarder Awesome thanks! Never ridden the Indoor Survival. And love the graphics on this Resort Twin. Always appreciate your reviews...thank you.
how is it compared to rome party mod?
It's camber so that changes a few things right there.
This or the rome party mod for park?
Sure.
the ride benchwarmer is a full aggressive camber snowboard that is asym how are they similar
Oh you’ve ridden them all?
I FUCKING WANT ONE

This board is literally the DOA
Except if you put them spec for spec. 54 SBTwin Effective edge 1196 vs 54 DOA EE 1222. Waist width 25.5 vs 25. Nose/Tail Width 30/30 vs 29.5/29.5. Sidecut 7.9/-1.5/7.9 vs 7.9. Holy Sheet Triax vs Special Blend Biax top layers of fiberglass. Meta Core vs P2 Superlight Core. Holy Sheet Triax vs Special Blend Biax bottom layers of fiberglass. Power Drive base vs Power Drive base. But yeah, exact same board.
Bataleon Blaster asym or Astro asym?
Either. More jibby playing around, Blaster. More carving/charging Astro.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks alot for the advice!
Angry should I get this or the shadowban as someone who doesn’t really care for park but more just ripping groomers and side hits.
Shadowban.
I don't see any riding in any videos?
Congratulations you have eyes.
So salty, I ordered one from SpringBreak and they cancelled my order bc they had sold out 😭
Don't worry Blauer Board Shop has next years on pre order.
@@AngrySnowboarder ya saw it dropped already, but the spider graphic is so sick
Get a spider sticker and put it over the new ones graphic and make it look custom!
@@AngrySnowboarder hahaha fair enough 📈
Nah won't buy it, still want a more directional indoor survival.
Why the ww so big on this board?
Because it was designed that way.
Damn when your not tall enough for the board😔
Weight over height bud
Unfortunately the grafic is so bad 😑
Literally the only one thinking that.
They did that on purpose: "Let's make a bad ass board and let the people in a senior residence design the graphics with a photoshop version from 1993."
Once again, literally only person thinking this.
A matter of taste :)
Clearly you drink malort then because that's the only thing that gives you taste.
I don't ride a ton anymore and looking to move away from park twins. Was looking more towards a directional twin like the shadow ban or stale crewzer to just have the quiver killer but would this stand up with them or are the direction twins better because of that shape?
Your call.
