    I think I figured the whole show out. In an interview, the writers have said that the whole thing was revealed in the first couple of episodes. Well, they talked a lot about the book Ethan is reading, "The Cromenockle". I think they're trapped in the story. Or at least a story. Some time in the past, the original townspeople performed a ritual that involved the sacrifice of children. Those children were read a story. I think something in the town has the power to bring people's thoughts, fears and imagination to life. So for the children that were sacrificed, the town brought the story they were read to life. Everybody in the town now, including the monsters, are characters in the book. That's why whenever a person or monster dies, they are replaced. The town has to contain all of the characters. So if one dies, someone else has to take on that role. I think the only way out of the town is to complete the story. Tabitha was only let out for long enough to bring back Henry because he's part of the story. The Boy In White is just trying to make sure that the story plays out the way it's supposed to. And I think the monsters are the wild card. They keep killing people and messing up the story. So the BIW is fighting the monsters to make sure the story plays out. That's my theory.

Elgin is another one who literally says nothing about what he’s experiencing or seeing. I’d expect fear and people disagreeing, but everyone refusing to share vital information?! So frustrating to still see characters who've been in that place for a long time, still acting like skeptical realists. They've seen so many supernatural events and they act like they've only been there yesterday. Biggest culprit is Jim. Still acting like the supernatural events don't exist and anyone with strange/supernatural ideas need to be brought back to reality. Or Tabitha still treating Victor as crazy regarding the doll despite being the most knowledgeable resident of the town.

    • @martian6201
      @martian6201 2 месяца назад +16

      And Jim shutting down ideas and theories like it's not necessary. One usually does that if they have an idea/working theory and they sticking to it. 😅 At the rate of how things are going, it would be best to just accept this fate and try to make it livable. Try to rebuild society in a way that will work under the circumstances and just go on with life.

  • @whitneydavis5096
    @whitneydavis5096 2 месяца назад +201

    So I have a new theory!! What if the monsters are the anghkooey kids parents/relatives that betrayed them ??? & for their betrayal they became monsters, because remember with the autopsy on Smiley, they said they did have a similar anatomy like a human, everything was just dried up. I think the person/demon who is in control of everything is also the same person/demon that told the "monsters" back when they were human to sacrifice the kids. Now the real question would be is WHY would they want to sacrifice the kids ?? Immortality ?? Maybe the land (Fromville) use to be a real town where the crops & everything started dying for no reason & maybe the kids were dying of a unknown & untreatable disease at the time & the human/demon promised to make them better by doing a "ritual" but it instead trapped the kids there & made the parents/relatives monsters & they can't remember their past lives! I definitely think the Anghkooey kids are related to the monsters ! also look at the clothes that all the monsters wear, it's clearly from a whole different time era! I have a theory that (if time travel is possible) somebody will have to go back in time & convince the towns people NOT to trust the person/demon who says he's gonna cure the kids & fix the town! Idk it's a wild theory but I can definitely seen this happening !!

    I find it weird that they bring in new characters instead of just developing the story around the existing ones. Like I almost forgot about Ethan because somehow he has no story this season. Same for the bus driver - where did she go? She wanted to reopen the diner and changed her mind? They could have at least have a brief scene with her instead of bringing in random folks when they talked about the murder and Sara with a new cop.

    I think Tabitha is actually Elouise, when she ran after her mum she found both the rocks and ran from something worse making it to the faraway tree where she eventually ended up back in the real world with her memories blocked out due to the trauma and ended up adopted. So she's not having dreams, she's having memories.

    Tabitha said she had that dream about the settlers village and the red rocks for months when she was a child and she would hide behind one of the rocks and she knew something bad was happening on the other side of those rocks but she would wake up before she could see what was happening every time. So I thought about the episode before that when Jade was at the village with Kenny and them gathering the crops to bring back to town. Remember he went to pee and when he was finished he noticed the red rocks. He dusted the snow off of one of them, and then as he looked up, he saw that ghost with the knife plunged into his eye/head. Then he got closer, and the ghost grabbed him by his shirt. If u go back and look, one of the red rocks is directly behind Jade. Then he saw the ghost again, drinking blood from a skull. Now, when he got back to town, Tabitha came into the bar and saw the drawings of the weird voodoo scarecrow things in the village, and she recognized them from her childhood dreams. So her and Jade went to the village and she showed him and Jim the rocks and said that in her dream she hid behind that one specific rock which happened to be the taller one that Jade was standing in front of when he saw that ghost with the knife plunged in his eye/head. So, I think her dreams are connected to whatever happened the day that ghost guy was killed/stabbed in the eye/head. Maybe the whole village was killed?? Kind of like the massacre in town when Victor was a kid. Obviously, the villagers were into some weird occult witchcraft kind of stuff, hence why the ghost guy was drinking blood from a skull! Something awful happened there, and Tabitha dreamt about it. The ghost guy's clothing and that village both appear to be maybe late 1600's early 1700's era. The dates on the wall behind Tabitha in that dream she had where she was walking up the basement steps and suddenly she was walking up the lighthouse steps included dates ranging from the 1500's to the 1900's. The latest date was 1978, which is the year Victor arrived in town, and when the massacre happened where everyone in town was killed, leaving him alone. I believe those dates correlate with tragic events. Jade saw those civil war soldiers too and another date on that wall correlates with that as well. Things are starting to string together slowly. The children Tabitha saw were sacrificed, and I believe they were maybe even born just to be sacrificed or born as some sort of weird ritualistic births. Remember, in the latest episode, Victor said the boy in white told Christopher that the children were BORN in the DARK! And that they were sacrificed in the dark! Tabitha saw them in the caves behind some wooden makeshift bars, almost like they were kept prisoner down in those caves. That is why they were so pale and their hair was falling out. Lack of sunlight and vitamin D will do that to u. I think the children are connected to the settlers village, and that is where their parents lived. I know I rambled on but I had to share when I realized the connection between Tabitha's childhood dreams and that ghost guy Jade saw in the village! 😂

Even to the fact Victor told the story of how him and his sister would play hide and seek right so what if Tabitha is remembering her “nightmare” wrong. And that’s why Tabitha is having visions as her mom is Victor’s mom. Also maybe I believe Victor’s dad is “Martin”, the old man that’s in the alternate reality cave where Juli saved Boyd.

    I believe I figured out more questions that nobody talks about or really looks into. I know a few people saw my comment on his breakdowns for ep 7 for from. But, I have more for ep 8 and my own ideas of past experiences no one else talked about nor explained. Please be considerate of my own thoughts and research I did!
    1. Tabitha/Miranda: I believe that everyone brought into this town is part of the story, once Miranda mysteriously disappeared without any reason no explanation of her “death” shown. I think Tabitha replaced her. However, they were the only ones who knew about the children until jade, victor, Julie, and past tense reincarnations of jade as Christopher, Jim as Henry, Miranda as Tabitha, all play a part. But, we don’t exactly know if Miranda is dead or not. Here’s what I know; Miranda had a map in the white storage truck that was victors hideout! She drew what places the faraway trees took you, what bad spots not to visit. She knew all of this and went into the tree herself during the day Christopher killed everybody and redid the cycle. Miranda knew this was going to happen so she hid her children. I think Miranda may reappear in an episode or next season to explain more questions we possibly have!
    2. “Flight of the cromenockle”: I just looked up the book that is referenced multiple times within the story Ethan brings up and Julie asks about during her “screams” she kept hearing while at the threshold. I did my research and found another book relating to the “flight of the cromenockle” it’s called “flight of the cormorant” since cromenockle isn’t really made from Kay dillons there’s no evidence to find if this book was written. But, the cormorant was and I found this you’ll want to know: The conveying and guiding of souls or of the deceased to their final resting place across and beneath the Western sea was believed to be the responsibility of the sea-faring Pied cormorant. The word “cormorant” loosely translates to “sea crow”. Large, mainly black birds, these master divers and fishing birds have a long history of superstition. They have been associated with oncoming storms and great evil. The root of distrust and hate for this birds has a more practical source: perceived competition. Think about this every time we see a cormorant it’s a black raven aka crow when something happens to someone. Think about when Fatima was doing her tarot card reading. Why is that ask yourselves?
    3. I mentioned in one episode breakdown in 7 about the faraway trees being homes to pixies, fairy’s, gnomes, talking animals, and elf’s. I also mentioned them being a 9 parallel universe of different worlds. This answers my questions about them and how extremely unpredictable they actually are. I think this also explains how Julie was able to go back in time in from to help Boyd, meeting Martin, and could have possibly discovered things we needed answers too.

    • @grungekiid
      @grungekiid 2 месяца назад +1

      I don't think Miranda is dead. I like your whole sea thing. The light house was obviously a massive plot in the show. The crows, everything else. There definitely seems to be a cycle. They talked about ending where it started so that could actually be Miranda or Viktor as a new cycle. What do you think about Boyd's wife? She sh0t a bunch off ppl saying this is the only way to be free, the only way they'll wake up. Tabitha fell from the lighthouse "diied", woke up in what we assume was the real world.

      @@grungekiid Hello, thank you so much for the positive feedback on my comment! I'll answer your question about Boyds wife and what I believe so far.
      1. Abby: Boyds wife same as himself served within the military, Abby (his wife) was the "badass" in the family and a marine. But here's something no one discussed...Abby must've had dreams when she was little as well relating to Tabitha/Miranda! Why? because she started to not get "better" Elis claimed to his father and to come help her. Abby claimed they would all "wake up, it's just a dream, it's not real". I believe Abby is related to Sarah. How? Well, Sarah starts to be told to kill Ethan the little boy, she gets hand writings on her arm and voices in her "head". But Abby was getting this way as well, so she was told to Possibly kill everyone and restart the cycle again. But long story short Abby could have been suffering from the marine life and struggled to understand what was real or not. Abby looked as if she needed to take "medication" or go to therapy to fix her mental state. Something or someone definitely had control over her mind or herself.
      2. Seabird: I recently found this from my research and thought about it more. I possibly came up with the solution that used to be a back in the day thing. Ravens, or crows, would take the dead's souls or guiding their spirits to places such as we know "Frome-vile". The birds could symbolize more than 1 thing in this show. But I am sure we will know why soon enough.
      3. Lighthouse: The Lighthouse is where Tabitha will find enlightenment. It's still too early to tell exactly but I imagine she has to realize that she probably let Thomas go. Although, this show is built off what people's fears or hopes and dreams are. The lighthouse represents the foolishness of believing in human power over nature. Lighthouses are usually viewed as symbols of safety-they are beacons guiding lost ships to the safety of human civilization and out of the treachery of nature (the dangerous waves). However, metaphorically speaking lighthouses represent navigation through life's challenges and difficult times. They provide a sense of direction, hope, and the importance of staying on course, making informed decisions, and finding our way during darkness or uncertainty. This concludes that in order for Tabitha to use the lighthouse she either had to let go of Thomas, or Jim. just like the faraway trees only Certain people who see "Visions" are able to access these portals.

      @@politicallyincorrect2564 Hi, I thought about this as well and how could Tabitha also relate to Eloise. Yeah, he never said he saw Eloise's body, and a few eps ago, he told Sara that he took things from the dead townspeople, as a kind of tribute. He never mentioned anything about Eloise, so I've been wondering what really happened to her. Or…. Eloise became trapped as one of the Ankoowee children. But she might've survived and went with her mother only to enter a "safe" faraway tree and are somewhere else in from "Safe" and "hidden" I think we will see them soon in from once again.

    You guys, the answer is right in front of our faces. The time loop or space time mashup indicates the past, present and future connect. Meaning the present can alter the past. The reason they have to save the children is because if they can go back in time they can stop the original towns people from ever sacrificing the children which will ensure the evil trapping them in the town will never be released. Saving the children is the key to everything but this is a group project. The entire town had to be involved, because there will be several different time periods that need to be accessed to do this. My only question is why these particular people were chosen for this task. I think some of them are connected to the original townspeople and some are connecting to other people who have been trapped and died in that place. Either way the like Victor says, the answers to the end are at the beginning. Go back in time and save those kids!!!! And my prediction is the baby is not a demon at all. I think the baby will be perfectly normal if not magical, knowing things no one else will be able to figure out. Being born alive in that place will connect that baby to the children. The baby will also be necessary to leave. Just a theory ☺️

    This show has a fascinating concept and creates a unique dynamic that keeps us guessing. Every time we get one answer, it's immediately followed by ten more questions. It's like a riddle trapped in a puzzle, wrapped in a maze! One of the major mysteries is about the motel-where is it, and what happened to it? Henry pointed out, "How come we see a sign, but there's no motel?" I also think the numbers in the bottles might represent hotel room numbers. At some point, I predict the motel will become a central element in this story.
    While I understand the comparisons to Lost, there are significant differences. What made Lost so iconic was its strong, alpha male leaders. However, in this show, all the men seem to be portrayed as beta males who struggle with making logical leadership decisions. They often rely on mentally stronger female counterparts. For example, Boyd follows Donna, Jim defers to Tabitha, Kristi leads Kenny, and Ellis looks up to Fatima. Conversely, the men who display alpha-like qualities, such as Jade and Randall, are depicted as jerks or bullies.
    Throughout human history, when people face extreme situations and adversity, we tend to revert to our natural roles: men often become warriors and protectors, while women take on the roles of healers and nurturers. But here, the men seem passive, almost waiting for those around them to be killed. A prime example is Frank, who drinks himself unconscious instead of protecting his family, allowing the monster to slaughter them. No real man would do that when he has a scared little girl at home. It’s an intriguing writing choice-every male character is led by a stronger female. Even Julie shows better leadership skills than her own father, Jim. I don't think this is a mere oversight; it seems intentional, creating more intrigue and conflict in the storyline.
    The lack of communication among the characters adds to the show's chaos. No one is trying to come up with a plan of attack; they’re all just surviving as best they can. In reality, when humans face threats, we don’t just sit around waiting-we build walls, moats, and traps. Human creativity, especially in the art of survival and war, is unmatched. Yet, all of this seems absent in the show’s portrayal of their survival efforts.
    Despite these observations, I think it's a great show, and I’m excited to see how it all unfolds in the end!

    I did wonder how Boyd got the rope and it had occurred to me that a second person must have been there. But I'm back on the "Tilly is evil" or has something to do with all this bandwagon. If she didn't die in that way, Fatima wouldn't have had to run and been told to run and then be in a situation where she could be kidnapped to be put in a root cellar and give birth to devil spawn.

    But man not looking good for Boyds crew, I love Boyd, he's like a superhero, but everything is going bad.
    Kinda funny and ironic how harsh he's been to Acosta, just for him to turn around and cover up a straight up murder.
    Acosta's situation being 1000× more understandable and worth forgiving, and Boyd just looking at her, knowing who killed Tilly, saying "let's get to the bottom of this" is great writing, shits hitting the fan so hard

    The time travelling theory has been something that I have considered for some time now. Tabitha in those clothes as a kid further solidified it for me, but then seeing that Julie was the one that threw the rope to Boyd; I do not need to question that time travel plays a major role on why things are so discombobulated in Fromville. Because it is only in time travel that people can be taken from a whole different part of the world and to a whole new one. With that said, can we talk about how Donna hardly has Boyd's back or am I imaging things? She basically plays the fun aunt whilst letting Boyd take all the blame for anything that goes wrong in Fromville, if people have lost faith in Boyd, she certainly has done nothing to help sway them otherwise; I honestly see her to be just as ungrateful as most of the townsfolk.

    @andreuorte 2 месяца назад

    This is my theory. It relates the celtic mythology:
    In popular tradition, the Fae/Sídhe can have magical powers who may help or punish humans depending on their whims.
    Characteristics of the Fae/Sídhe:
    Parallel world: The Fae inhabit a realm separate yet adjacent to the human world, often hidden or invisible. This realm can overlap with ours in certain places. That could be Fromville.
    Nocturnality: The Fae are often believed to have a connection to the night, as it is the time when the boundaries between their world and ours grow thinner. That might explain why nights are time for monsters.
    Ability to make pacts: The Fae are known for making deals or offering bargains to humans, though these offers usually come with hidden traps or unforeseen consequences. we have seen that many times.
    1. The Village and Its Connection to the Fae/Sídhe
    The village where the protagonists are trapped could have an ancient and dark history tied to the Fae. The villagers of Fromville might have triggered events leading to the nightly attacks. Here are some hypotheses:
    An ancient curse: Generations ago, the villagers' ancestors broke a pact with the Fae-perhaps by desecrating a sacred mound or stealing a magical object. Since then, the Fae have returned to punish them every generation and we are seing an iteration.
    Built on sacred territory: The village was constructed on an ancient Sídhe (a sacred mound), which acts as a portal to the Fae realm.
    The village as a trap: The village itself might be a creation of the Fae, designed to ensnare people. Farmville citizen could find themselves trapped in this place without understanding how they got there, with roads leading nowhere or looping back to the village in an infinite cycle. This aligns with many Fae stories where humans become lost in their realms for decades without realizing it.
    2. The Nightly Attacks
    The attacks could be as varied as they are mysterious and terrifying. The Fae are masters of illusion and manipulation. These attacks wouldn’t necessarily start as direct violence but might grow progressively more psychological as we have seen so far this season.
    Subtle disturbances: The protagonists might start noticing small strange occurrences, like objects disappearing or moving, laughter or voices in the dark, or the sensation of being watched. They might also have unsettling dreams or nightmares where the Fae appear.
    Psychological attacks: The Fae could distort reality. The protagonists might begin seeing altered versions of their friends or family, making them doubt their sanity. The Fae might toy with their memories.
    Deadly illusions: Illusions might lead them into dangerous situations. They could also make the roles believe they are attacking each other, heightening paranoia.
    3. The Rules of the Fae and Their Morality
    One fascinating aspect of the Fae is that they have strict rules, often unknown to humans, and breaking them can lead to severe consequences. Obviously that is the case of From because nobody knows what's going on:
    -Unspoken rules: For example, the Fae might punish someone for crossing a particular boundary in the village.
    -Trickster bargains: The Fae could offer the protagonists a way out or a solution to their problems, but always at a hidden cost. That would be the case of Tabitha's way out.
    -Shapeshifting into humans: The Fae are known for their ability to disguise themselves as humans and deceive them. Is there any Fae who is actually performing like human? That's something we are also willing to know.
    4. The Final Escape or Bargain
    Is there a way to break the cycle or escape?. Several potential endings:
    - Uncovering the hidden truth: Perhaps there’s a way to break the curse if they discover the truth about what is making Fae control the whole thing. I still think that's likely to be the main option with the children that needs to be saved. It seems they made a ritual that did not end well and Fae is using people to break it.
    - Sacrifice: Maybe someone needs to make a terrible sacrifice to allow some people to escape-perhaps giving up their soul or being trapped in the Fae realm forever. That would explain why some people died in massive deaths. We don't know if they are dead out of Fromville. Who is gonna play this role this time?
    - Escaping the time loop: Perhaps they might realize that the village exists in a magical or temporal loop controlled by the Fae. They would need to find an exit-like a doorway between temporal worlds-before the loop resets or seals permanently.

    My thoughts;
    due to this occultist-like sh.t with ankhooey children Fromville is out of regular space and time that's why it devours people from all over the country at the random moment of their journey. Most people ended up here by pure accident like Donna and her sister, Kenny's family or Kristi.
    In the 2nd season Fatima told Elgin that some people had dreams/visions of this place before they arrived and I think those people are reincarnations of original townsfolk who lived during ankhooey kids ritual. They had some 'leftovers' of their previous lives imprinted in their memory and keep coming back to life and to the Fromville cause it's clearly some unsolved issue here(maybe children souls are trapped and need to be free or sth). Once they'll figure it out Fromville will stop existing/will free them all or at least will stop bringing new people in. Reincarnaited people are obviously Jade and Tabitha and most likely anyone who had someting unusual happened to them(Elgin, Sara etc.)
    Reincarnaited people can use some advantage like BIW guidance or using far away trees safely(Dale was the only one with no visible connection to the town and the only one to got killed by using the teleport). They can also walk through dimensions/time travel whith explains Tabitha's/Miranda's bracelets, bottle trees, Julie meeting Martin(and the monster that called her name in first season - maybe an encounter from the past/future?) but I guess this ability is hard to understand/be controlled.
    Victor and Ethan are heavily hinted to be the same soul and them being alive at the same time is probably an error caused by Victor's unexpected surviving. Also tho I love Victor's character- he'll probably won't make it out from the town as he already feels he doesnt belong to the outside world anymore. It will leave Ethan as his reincarnation.
    Characters like Henry and Jim- they not directly connected to the story but are meant to end up in town due to their relation to the chosen(reincarnaited) one.

      I think it a bit more layered; at this point Tabitha is 99% Miranda reincarnaited but when it comes to Jim I think he's just another version of Henry for this version of Miranda(sounds weird but u get me, right 😂?)
      In the earlier part of 2nd season Fatima told Elgin that some people in town had dreams/visions about this place before their arrival and I believe these people are the one who got reincarnated and have some 'leftovers' form their previous lives. Most prominent here are Tabitha and Jade. Abby, Boyd's wife was most likely also a reincarnation of someone.
      While all the other citizens like Kirsti, Kenny, Ellis or Bakta(bus driver) are more like bystanders and accidental victims of this whole situation.

    This is my idea so far putting eveything together. As many have speculated the people in the From are stuck as pawns in a game between a good and evil entity. The game is about the kids. A long time ago, probably the first people to settle the town, were trapped and tricked by the evil entity to sacrifice the kids (they were tricked by their loved ones). Ever since then, the town has been stuck in a never ending perpetual cycle, where the game is being played between the two entities, one trying to keep the kids trapped (i believe this is beause the kids being trapped allow the evil entity to have power) and one trying to set them free. Eventually while the game plays out the entities have their main players, Tabitha who is set to saved the kids, and Jade who is set to re-sacrifice or keep them trapped. The reason why the cycle continues is because no one has ever managed to free the kids. The last attempt was by Eloise, Victors mom. However she "lost" the game, which ended up in the massacre of the entire town, and the game (the current people we are watching) starting again.

      Boyd and some colony house ppl figure out Elgin has Fatima hidden and they kidnap and torture him to tell them where she is but he doesnt say. He keeps saying "it" told him it was the only way to save the town. Boyd realizes Sara said similar things when she was killing folx in ssn1 so he goes to her. She says he'll never tell them bc she remembers how she felt. While boyd and the others are areguing they hear elgin screaming and go upstairs and sara has blinded him/removed an eye (hard to tell) and says Fatima is at the root cellar.
      Jade, Tabitha, Victor, and Jim realize the bottle tree numbers only go as high as 12 and they might be musical notes, Jade says he will stand in the woods and play the notes on his violin and see what happens. I saw someone on this sub guess it might be about music so good for them bc they were right.
      And now the big ending things:
      Boyd goes to where Fatima is. She has found a hatch in the floor of the room she is being kept in but cant open it. She gives birth to a baby-sized fleshy pod. The kimono woman appears and takes the pod down the hatch. Boyd quickly comes in and follows kimono. She goes to a chamber where all the monsters are standing in a circle and puts the pod in the middle. It grows very fast and turns into a standing man, who turns around and it is the smiling man monster reborn.
      In the woods, Jade plays the song and one of the angkhooey children shows up. She sais angkhooey one more time and it looks like it snaps something in both Jade and Tabitha. Tabitha runs off and jade says "oh god." Jade then says angkhooey means "remember" but doesnt explain why.
      Jim goes to talk to tabitha who remembers she's been here before and was victor's mother, and jade was christopher, explaining why they see things related to both.
      Tabitha also remembers that she and jade were 2 original people in fromville, and one of the grey children was theirs in a life long, long ago. Apparently most of the town sacrificed the children because "it" said they could live forever if they did. I'm just speculating but that seems to be connected to the monsters who are maybe also original citizens who made the deal. Jade and Tabitha didn't and "tried to save them." Tabitha tells Jim she needs time now that she remembers.
      RIGHT at the end, while jim is processing, a short haired julie runs up to him, probably from the future. She says he has to run and "this is when it happens" and then someone says "hello jim" and a bald man in a yellow suit appears. julie tells him to run. The man says "you shouldnt have let your wife dig that hole" and rips out jim's throat while julie screams. It should be noticed this final scene takes place in daylight so the rules for the man in yellow are different than the monsters.

    Let's not forget Elgin knew the town already when they came in on the bus. He panicked and vomited.
