For those people trying to do this. Watch the video, when David turns the compressed air can upside down that is the key to the issue. That when your nock becomes freezing cold.
Pause for 30 seconds letting the nock becoming even colder, then use the hammer. And yes the 1/8" rod works and you can get it through the bolt.
I did 6 in 3 minutes once I when back to watch the video again.

This does not work for me. The insert at the point end is solid! The 1/8" inch steel rod will not go through. Now what?

      Yes it will

Hmm, solid? I'd run a 1/8" drill bit through it

Those are not glued in. You can pull them out with plyers

@@WyvernsCreationstried this and had no luck. It’s firmly held inside the aluminum fitting. Any other ideas? Thanx

@@domino9465 I've got the orange Alpha nocks in the aluminum HP inserts and had to put the knocks in a Vice to pull them out. I could not budge them with pliers. I did get two of the three out in the vice but the third one broke off flush with the top of the aluminum bushing. NOW, I got to get that out somehow. I'm now wondering how hard it's going to be to get the lighted knocks into the insert without breaking it.

It does but if you get ones that are really stubborn it may take several shots. You can also spray down the arrow shaft as well

I just use the 1/8" rod and tap down on a solid surface. They come out every time.
