Having Baxter out and no J. Brooks is starting to show how important the running game is. I think Sark is having to call a lot of short passes this season which are actually runs in his mind. It's a complimentary sport. With no real run game, it makes things more difficult on the passing game.
The offense has no “up the gut” running game. This offense reminds me of mike leach, The Air raid offense ultimately forced the invention of the 3 high defense. Texas is using similar elements and sec is figuring out the 3 high defense because of it. If longhorns don’t figure out how to run power or inside zone every team will go three high or cover 4 against the longhorn offense. I hope sark has a plan.
If Shedeur Sanders was in the SEC, I think he’d have a much tougher time. Quinn, in a weird way, having so much pressure on him this year will only help him in the future.
We can’t keep blaming the oblique injury… Quinn has shown over the years exactly who he is, and that is inconsistent and injury prone. Great talent and some very strong performances, but a lot of head scratchers as well. This was his year to show consistency and show he can be elite week in week out, and its just not him… injury or not…
33:54 Bobby I saw this in Florida game. Watch Bond bc he’s also not even presenting himself as an option. I know Sark has a reason for this and I wish I knew why. The play I’m talking about was deeper in the game and bond knew it wasn’t coming to him. It was either at the very end of 2nd half or in third quarter. I’m also sure if I studied more plays I would see this later too. I think y’all should show some plays bc it’s not good. Not all throwing options don’t present themselves but the WRs do it more. People like Silas Bolden don’t bc he’s a go hard every play kinda guy. It’s why I love Silas Bolden and it’s why the staff chose him over Johntay
I know Rod said Sark isn't saving anything for A&M but I wouldn't be shocked if they get in a '23 Michigan mode and just trot out 6-7 OL and just run them out of the 3 high.
If Quinn has another stinker against Kentucky and is missing the short and intermediate throws again would you still roll him out there against A&M with a playoff spot up for grabs?
Colt had a nearly identical stat line that Quinn did this past weekend vs Arkansas back in 2008... Everyone needs to stop with the head hunting. Arch will be there next season .
No he didn’t colt was 17/19 or something like that so his qbr was way higher Quinn’s was 62 when Arkansas played auburn their qb qbr was 62.2 although I agree that Quinn will be okay that’s not the standard we should aspire too we should be better than anything auburn is putting on the field this year
I didn’t listen to Simms even tho I know he’s a different person now. During Simms time at Texas he was the reason in big games we lost. It’s the same thing so you have no room to talk. Simms first year we had a backup in applewhite option. The rest of them at Texas we didn’t have an option. People love to bring up Simms overall stats but will never give stats from the big games
Avery Johnson is better than Will Howard. If you watch the games, yeah there are moments where his impetuousness gets in the way, but given all they lost from last year to this year including their OC, I don't think they'd be in any better position with Howard.
45:33 agreed again Bobby were still top 5 in scoring margin. Top 10 n top 10 on offense n defense. These stats are in the nation so struggling isnt the right word at all
16:44 to answer your hypothetical question the answer is absolutely yes and the reason why is bc Quinn is going to cost your team a very important game bc he's not that good. I've been trying to tell ppl that for the years that's he's been a longhorn, dude is a talented guy but he's not at all refined and worse than that is he is a rollercoaster player with far too many highs and lows. Any other time I've seen a top program with this type of scenario the upper classman not being able to truly separate from the more talented younger guy, it usually ended up with the young guy getting the nod. That record talk is bc the team has been good at times in spite of Quinn.

It's like the Hog's trainer showed up play the game & the Arkansas starters just watched. Another bag of luck and good fortune for Texas.

Has anyone ever seen a QB make Sarks offense look this bad in the past other then Quinn? Did any Alabama QB make sarks offense look this bad?
Put Brooks in the Backfield this season with 3, and a completely diff outcome, in the rushing segment and off. production.

Gerry couldn’t wait to break that Alfred Collins 2nd rnd news! Lol😂😂

Dion should win the natty ,he has over 50 people on his staff

It’s totally amazing…thought it might take a few years but NOOOOOOO… Longhorn fans bitching we don’t win by enough…unbelievable.🤠🤘🏼

Stop the Quinn hate. It is poison for our team. Sark knows.
Quinn has been the same since day one, very mediocre!

No.
The true trap game was Vandy
59:00 Trey Owen’s is probably leaving after another one of his Spring game performances in all honesty
Definitely a high chance if Arch stays two yrs. He’ll have KJ and Dia to compete with
