Get the car inspected by AutoLign. I’ve done it with my car cost £300. Takes the marker off for the CAT S. Shows as Inspected. Can be a great video at the end. Plus it’s then deemed by the Insurance Industry as the same value if it’s involved in another accident in the future

Lovely car that Mclaren and damage doesn't look too bad. You and your dad will soon sort it out. To be honest a lot of those brackets could be straighten out.
Could the car be re-assessed, couldn't you request for someone to re-evaluate the category the insurance has assigned?

Can you please make your videos longer with a bit more detail. You and your Dad have a great relationship and banter, and it's excellent to watch. The insurance company done you a favour though!.. if it was catogory N you wouldn't have got for that price.. So basically you got a Cat N at a Cat S price 🤔

Nice video and luckily we don t have a system that you are talking about in my Country The Netherlands, because this cars its frame is looking spec less and there is nothing wrong about it !!! So now this car will keep that S for the rest of is car life...... Respect for you Guys to work on a complicated car like this McLaren, and i must say it must be nice to working in a Shop that is so clean and with so much light ! My compliments !

Can you not get this re inspected after repair? If it passes it will change the cat s marker to “condition inspected” I’m sure another great salvage rebuild channel done this.

What a great buy , your gamble paid off , think you need to refer this as being the Beast as that’s exactly what it is. You might struggle getting insurance for this one 😂 your dad will just have to drive you around 😂 I’m guessing you will sell it on to develop the channel , your dad is a real card few years younger than me , you make a good team the new workshop is looking real nice now , keep up the good work can’t wait to see this one getting built back up again , hope you have deep pockets as parts are going to be expensive for the Beast , all the best 👍🏻
Did you buy the car from the owner or copart or similar i have never known an insurance company to not pay out because a tyre is bald you could argue it happened in the crash skidding, also how can a insurance company categorise a car they haven't paid out on it makes no sense,,secondly if you bought off the owner are you sure he wasn't paid out and he bought it back off the insurance company then re sold it to you.

The thing is it's nit just the repair cost the got to account for the cost of parts and labour, tine it takes for parts to come from back order if there is any and then the courtesy car cost like for like. Not as cheap fix as you think it is😂
what i do not understand is why if the insurance did not pay out on the claim the car has a category marker at all as the insurance declined to buy the damaged car from the owner after the accident so why apply the category marker to a car they did not own?

Insurance would never categorise a car if they don't pay out, so I'm speculating they paid the council because the car damaged the bollards etc
Not always. I've know cars get category and later refused to pay out
Just get it inspected to take the cat off
