I feel I can learn so much more by this format. I get tired of just watching people catch fish. Thanks for teaching and not just showing off how many fish you can catch.
I prefer watching the live process of you finding them
Absolutely
Towards the end what was those box like shapes? I see those on my lake and catch nothing and you really did not address it either
We're here for knowledge, not entertainment. We can watch action-packed videos of people catching bass anywhere on YT. But WE want to be able to catch 'em too, and this is the way to learn it. This is priceless experience for us. Solid gold. A hard lake on a tough day is exactly what I face every time I take my boat out. I see the buffering continues to be a problem. Speaking for myself, I'd be glad to watch it unedited after you get done. Just record it and upload. Anyway, this is the good stuff IMO.
One of the best and most real videos I've ever seen. Thank you!
I definitely prefer this, but keep some fish catching videos too. There are things to learn in both situations. I have never seen anyone do a video like this and have always wanted to see one. Like others have said, this is the next best thing to being in the boat with you.
This is the next best thing to being in the boat with you. Keep this format coming. I always had it in my mind, you just graphed for hours and found 100s of places, while when I tried it seemed like I wasn't finding anything and giving up too easy. This puts it in perspective and makes it feel like I was on the right track but needed to keep looking.
Love this❤❤ Your live scope is really hot, can you please turn it down so we can see and can you adjust the depth on the screen so we can track your bait as it is right now we can’t see it. Love these types of videos 😊
I watched the whole stream. Love this format.
I agree, I like this format
These are my favorite videos by a mile! Lure/technique tip videos are all the same, we need to see the process!
Definitely the live process. Particularly when you add commentary interpreting what is on side scan … rocks, submerged vegetation, shadows, shell beds, etc and how to use that your combination with down imaging and 2D …
Agree 100%. Live process. Maybe a short video of one when u do find them
Learned and improved more in the last couple years, watching fish the moment, than I could have ever learned myself!!😊😊
Seeing all the pretty lookin docks on points and channel swings and im screaming at the computer saying FISH THAT!!!!😂
I prefer this method because it is an awesome teaching tool. This is my most favorite video that you have made. Thanks!!!
I'd recommend moving your picture when you are graphing so it is in the upper left or lower left of the side-scan part of the split screen. Having it on the map like you have on the past couple of videos makes it so we cannot see what approach you are using to graph over the structure (what angle are you coming into each point at and such). That said, these are great videos and I really appreciate the honest, uncut approach as it is vastly more educational than most other RUclips videos that are just catch feast videos. Looking forward to seeing more!
I love this format. It would be nice to see the map and your boat trail. That way it shows how your graphing the specific areas. Just a thought. Keep it coming 😊
Looking forward to the Garmin guide
This is the absolute best "graph fishing" video I've ever seen - this format is absolutely incredible. New sub.
Hi Jonny. Love this video format in which you’re just searching for fish and narrating your interpretation of what you see on imaging. Totally unlike any other bass fishing videos and a great way to teach on-the-water decision making. Also love that the livescope narrative has progressed to just seeing it as a useful tool with a learning curve of its own.
Yes listening to you talk through your thought process about what you see is the most helpful aspect imo. I personally don’t care if you ever make a cast.
Diawa or Abu needs to endorse this guy! Great content!
This is the best stuff on RUclips for learning!
This is the best! Take us fishing with you every time out
I like seeing the behind the scenes of how you find them. It shows that you don’t just get on the water and hammer them all the time.
This new format is 🔥 I’ve never learned more about offshore fishing in 2 hours
This video was incredibly educational for me. Very grateful. Would appreciate more like this, please!
Really enjoy your live, unedited trips on the lake.
It sucks not catching fish but what sucks more is digging post holes in this dry hot Mo/Ark ground. Love these vids, your the real thing. Listening to your process and thoughts is educating, we know you can catch fish. Keep it coming.
Love this style, I'm learning so much about the electronics, SI, DI, & 2D.
Really enjoy this live searching...the real thing....keep it coming and I'll keep watching.
I like these live videos, more please.
This is good stuff. I say I am going to scout for spots but when I get on the lake I have no patience. I guess I need some jerky 😂.
Thanks. Really enjoyed you showing me the process!!
My weakness is definitely reading electronics. I know if I improve in that area I'd catch more big fish. Thanks. This was helpful.
Love this format. Thanks again for doing these.
I enjoy seeing the process
Love to see your settings on those Garmins, love these vids👍
I love this style man. Really appreciate these!!!
Keep it real!
Great format! 👍🏻😎
Great content keep it coming
Love this format! Keep it up! I would love it if you would point out more features while graphing. I just put 2 echomap ultras and livescope on my boat and it would be very helpful during dead air/graphing, if you could point out rock piles, road beads, shell, etc. thx!
I love these! It’s really nice to see everything happening. Could you maybe move your data overlay for depth a little bit to the right so we could see the depth? The video has it partially cut off.
I am going to start using "the juice" when I bank fish.
The live scope rocking is because your setting that adjusts the stitching is in auto.
This is awesome… thanks for the lesson. Question: what garmin do you have?
I have them listed in the video description
👍👍👍👍👍👍
imagine in 10 or 20 years when the imaging is so accurate that it's like a movie and you can literally see the difference in the types of fish? Then we can have electronic lures that move right to the fish you choose and we'll all catach fish on every cast! It'll be great until the lake has no more fish...
Great content would have loved to see if that spot paid off. Keep mixing up your content. There's so much to learn!
How about doing a show on finding Walleyes? Thats what I fish for up north.
Joined about 8am PDT - it seems the livestream had ended and I was just seeing a recording. The audio and video were not synchronized so it was a bit hard to correlate what you were commenting about to what I was seeing. The video feed wasn't continuous (it would freeze for long periods), while the audio seemed reasonably good. I still think this concept has great promise in that it allows us to see the 100's of small decisions you make as you search for fish. Maybe it would have been better live - I'll try that next time if I can. Don't give up on the format.
As someone who’s fished for years but is just recently attempting to truly learn how to utilize my electronics I really enjoyed the “search” process. Sure watching footage of catching fish is fun, but the how to process is so valuable
why did you switch to garmin from humminbird i dont recall you having any problems with hummingbird.
Johnny I can't make out anything on your livescope I'm like lost trying to make out what's a fish an what's brush. It's like the bottom is grainy or something..
Did you fish the big bass tournament on grand lake last weekend Jonny?
Hey, Can I ask how you managed to record your screen and upload it youtube ?
I like watching the process Johnny. My advice - dont try to perform for the Camera do what u do so we can learn. Yes its slow and not exciting, but focus on what you are looking at on your graphs. I come to your channel to learn not fast and furious catching.
Have u ever found bass on your sidescan so tight to the bottom but when u drop the livescope in forward orientation there so tight to the bottom it’s hard to make them out? Do u believe there is a grey area right off of the bottom that say if the fishes belly is in the mud they would be hard to see on FFS?
I prefer watching the process in real time.
At the 1:58 1:59 mark are those box like objects? I have those on my lake but never catch anything.
How much delay do you think there is when you are in 2D? When you graph fish and turn around to fish or regraph?
What Color are you Using on the sideview?
Looked to me like the bass were up shallow. Maybe docks ?
Mmmmm Beef Jerky
What date was this live stream? Curious what the moon phase was...
June 6th. I did a follow up video of my afternoon and caught several nice bass off the same spots I graphed during this livestream. I think I caught them around 2pm or so.
I don't feel bad now. I am still having troubles marking and going back to the spot yikes
An what is all that clutter in the water column?
The more you look at the imaging the better you will be at interpreting fish. Peace
Do the process of just finding them just the way you’re doing it now
Ah 2nd view looks a lot better an cleaner..
Not sure if it's me or your video, but your video says it's a little over 2 hrs, but when I click on it, it's only 11 min long.
Same
Did the same for me until I refreshed. Then I got the whole thing. (It's 2 hours, not 3 as the title says. I think his battery died.)
Bòth
Active target better
BORING
Id move to Alabama!
