I love how the Sisters became so much stronger that they received a points increase almost across the board and we all went "Yes, this is appropriate" (asterisk next to some of the cases such as "taking Penitent units outside of their Host"). It just feels like they're working the way they're supposed to, and getting the points "nerf" is more of a reward for doing so well, a recognition of their position. And Bringers of Flame is a nice fun "I move close and shoot things hard" especially for those who remember 3-5Ed "trying to stay in that 6-12 inch footsies range but not so close as to be in combat", but it's nice that the other detachments are still good, and still have a lot of use. It's not "the good detachment". I'm just... really happy about the state the army is in, and this hasn't been the case for a while.
I feel the same. It is fun to play sisters and they work as they should. They are the (semi) elite army they should be. And we already excel at short range shooting, this detachment just makes it better!
Funny, I wrote the same list compiling stuff I experienced on the table and from watching your videos. After that I found out that other guy won a tournament with that. I’m just happy you can play immolators and that I can play a list I call “dominion tank police” (a really old, really trashy anime). Great video as always
I will advocate for strongly considering Dialogus support for this detachment. Since speed means getting into fire range, getting more strength, getting your [Melta] damage rule to activate, and this army doesn't have great tools for miracle dice manipulation, those auto-sixes come in hard. Auto advance 6 means getting into range or getting onto the objective from huge ranges, and having huge threat ranges with your lower range weapons. And since you used your act of faith in the movement phase, you can still use the Dialogus to get an auto 6 on your melta damage roll. I know retributors are considered very expensive right now for how much of a glass cannon they are, but with 30" threat range (18" multimelta+6"move+6" advance) and guaranteed at least one 6 damage melta shot, they do pack a punch with wound rerolls even just on 1s, and I can see this working on dominion just as well since they will not instantly lose effectiveness if they lose some models. Though this doesn't work as nicely for the video topic of "no transport" bringers of flame, since retributors require transports, and dominion with a dialogus only gets scouts when starting in a transport.

Bringers of Flame is simpler as it works towards the Sisters main strength - short range shooting. And you will mostly just use two stratagems so that is easy to remember

Fun story, my fist game with the new codex my battle sister squad supported by a hostpitala survived 90 ISH attacks from an endless swarm. I rolled SO many 5s on the feel no pain that it actually led to me switching dice part way through because I felt bad. Then rezzed the full squad in my subsequent turn. Shame about the tervigon though....
I'm actually curious if you've seen a new game-mode circulating called King of the Colosseum? IT was started (I think) by a group on here called Play On! Tabletop, and it seems REALLY good for low-cost entry and enjoyment of the hobby! basic rules are: No units above 9 toughness, at least 1 character and 2 infantry, 500 point max. the map is decently small, but it's still been super fun to watch! Was kinda curious what kind of sisters/genestealer army you'd make for such a game? they did a round with penitent sisters that I thought were gonna make a much better showing than they did (though, to be fair, they were against Harlequin who played extremely cagey)
Have you tried white spray cans... I am the same with tanks, I don't care about them much. I add a bit of detail until it looks interesting. I do love a 1k points game and I know a lot of my audience enjoys those size of game too
@@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber I love regular tanks that I can just sponge a camo scheme onto, shade and drybrush. The Sisters tanks intimidate me somewhat XD.

not quite, it was saying that at the start of the game all objectives are contested until the end of the phase. The simulacrum also activates at the end of the phase so it will work. Units that have abilities that activate at the start of the command on objectives you control (Acolyte Hybrids) - they won't work
@@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber possibly but I still don't like it in my opinion the enhancements are just better as well also strats are just better (not saying that's a bad thing) plus I prefer the immolator because the battlefield footprint is smaller in terms of immolator vs. redeemer
Why is it "broken" if you don't use transports? I have no transports and in fact, no vehicles other than a couple of Anchorites. I prefer extra Sisters units. Also means I don't have to bother with a bunch of strats.
Broken because it works really well and a detachment focused around transports shouldn't work well without the transports. The Firestorm Assault does not do well without transports
I do wish that there was one or two more ways to spend crap MD, or just 1s and 2s, especially in BoF. The manual is neat tech...but it does NOTHING turn 1 unless you go second. 15 points feel a bit much for 4 turns of maybe value. Also, with the IA codex announcement, I am leaning towards taking Greyfax and henchmen out of my list just in case it gets released before my tournament in late August.
Hospitalier junith there's quite a few sincs but they are in your list or not the other sinc is always killing the last sister in a unit to burn a cherub
I feel like a weirdo for not liking tanks. They are expensive and take ages to paint. I'm here for the zealots, not the Rhino and its cousins. But every time I check a competitive list and see that they all bring like 7 vehicles I feel discouraged. Better stick to 1000 points games, or boarding actions.

Already did at an RTT went 2/3 because I ran into a deathguard flamerspam list in the final and just bounced off of it
deathguard plaguethrowers are perhaps the only torrent weapons better than ministorum flamers... and that's a situational thing.
whenever I hear of Deathguard all I think is - Army of Faith ignores their modifiers

no, I think they will stay in Legends as I don't think there are plans to release new models for them

For some reason I can't see crusaders in Codex, I can see those in newrecruit for example, but they marked as "Legends"

Didn't the new rules errata/update state that you can't control objectives in your first command phase of the game?
not quite, it was saying that at the start of the game all objectives are contested until the end of the phase.
The simulacrum also activates at the end of the phase so it will work.

my only question is wtf is the sisters dev wounds strat for torrent 1 cp but the space marines one is 2
maybe because Aggressors are always twin-linked and the Infernus marines gives more flamers than the Sisters... maybe

Miracle dice were a mechanic that worked well in 9th edition because moral tests were the inverse, you wanted to roll low. Now they are just... there

Sisters have always excelled at short range firepower and they have more bodies to give than the Space Marines
