This 1940 promotional film "The Scout Trail to Citizenship" was produced by the Research Service Division of Program Boy Scouts of America. It looks at the benefits of Scouting for boys at all ages. It seeks to show Scouting as a way for boys to bond, accompany them as they grow up, and eventually turn them into upstanding Americans. The film goes through the different Boy Scout ranks and how these are achieved, as well as the different activities that can be covered with Scouting. It also highlights the larger support structure needed to organize these beneficial activities.

I was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Explorer and order of the arrow. I was lucky and had a great time.
I'm a Life Scout and I spent 10 years in the Scouts from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Although I'm glad that the Scouts still exists today, it angers me that the requirements to become an Eagle Scout has been dumbed down so much that one can become an Eagle Scout at 13.
Even if you have the time to earn the merit badges and do the paperwork, you used to need a minimum amount of time at each rank, a minimum number of summer camps, a minimum number of weekends camping including survival camp, be a Patrol Leader or SPL or JASM... OK I'll stop 😊
Cue the haters. Scouting also taught acceptance and inclusion; attributes which all too many lack today.. Sign me as an Eagle Scout with two years as a Philmont Guide, Four terms as National Jamboree Staff, six years as Scoutmaster, a Four Bead Woodbadge Staffer and Council Commissioner. Involved in the program for over 45 years.
Silly billy
I loved being a cub scout, then boy scout. I remember it proudly. I feel lucky to have had the chance.
Eagle Scout here, 1986…for God and Country! 🙏🏻🇺🇸
... " DIB DIB DIB " 1:35 🫡
I was a boy scout in the 90s and I gotta tell you, short of using that bow to start a fire, we did ALL this stuff. It was so much fun!!
14:35 Any former Boy Scout knows that's a HATCHET and not an AXE 😂
AH...48 states. I remember when we got 49, then 50, in rapid succession...so fast that, our little schoolhouse couldn't afford both flags so they just bought the 50-star one. 1959.
A boy scout is always prepared.
I wish i were alive back then, instead of in todays screwed up nation.
Is there any way that I can take the soul train instead?
Bet Alec Baldwin still loves Canteen Boy.
We can’t have nice things anymore
@8:35 Where are the scouts from? Massachusetts with that accent?
Awesome!
Pre 1963 .
Post 1963 all is evil all the time .

7:10 seriously
Query in the ⚖ balance what gender 🚺 or 🚹 more gooder 😂
No conversation about girls being there or trans and nothing else ridiculous ...just good American boys.
The same with the U.K., sadly it is considered progress. I doubt Baden Powell would have approved.
Yup then next year…it’s off to war
@@tjlovesrachel well to be honest then they're prepared for war if they're old enough and they've been a boy scout for 6 years
OPEN BOARDERS! THANKS MEXICO!
Ah yes ! Wagner! Perfekt! 😂
I enjoyed Cub scouts... The boy scouts was a different story. That's when I quit. Today they have become a woke organization and will never see a dollar from me.
For 114 years the Scouts have been 'woke'. They have always said that everyone is equal - never said that some white-skinned racist held supremacy over all.
😍 📚 🧠 📚 😍
❤ ➿ 👃🏼 ➿ ❤
uh im noticing a lack of trans black neo-girls? this is problematic.
Lmaoooo 😂😂😂😂
