    So I wanna know, what's your favorite scene from Christmas Vacation? Mine has to be the christmas house lighting of the house! He's just so dang determined and I can understand his frustration with those lights! What a great scene!

    This is a family favorite at our house and we watch it every Christmas. There are so many favorite lines. Favorite scene for me is the squirrel scene. It never fails to make me crack up. Also when Uncle Louis says to Aunt Bethany “ you couldn’t hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin factory”. It makes me laugh every time.

    • @ZMAMShow

      Solid laughing scenes for sure! Like you stated, so many solid lines. Scene the movie a hundred times and it still manages to make me chuckle.

    I got one you missed; when Aunt Bethany arrives, she asks if Randy is still in the Navy, and declares this house is bigger than their old one.
    When Clark is watching the black and white reel of Christmas '58(to which this movie is based of the article in National Lapoon Magazine) we can see younger versions of the Aunt and Uncle standing next to a man in a naval uniform.

    Best line in the movie is Eddie talking about the metal plate in his head. “Every time she’d fire up the microwave I’d piss my pants and forget who I was for half an hour.” 🤣

    There's either a deleted scene or it was in the script but never filmed but when they go get their tree and realize they don't have a saw, Clark goes to the tree farm proprietor and talks him into letting him use a shovel to dig the tree out. This is why when Eddie and Clark are in the living room and Eddie comments on the tree and Clark says, "Dug it out myself".

    Thanks for posting. Favourite scene is when Clark is talking to cousin Eddie who is away with the mixer as usual! "Do you want me to drive you into the middle of nowhere, leave you for dead". Eddie totally oblivious and doesn't take offence😄 Also Clark at work when those workmates are going in for a meeting with the boss "Kiss my ass", "Kiss his ass" 😄😄

    You missed a big one. Clark Griswold’s boyhood home is none other than Darrin and Samantha’s house from Bewitched. The back of it is visible in several street scenes in “present day” as it sat just beyond Margo and Todd’s house.
    They are unfortunately all gone now as Warner recently demolished the entire backlot.

    Great list for a great movie.
    I have about 15 "Favorite" scenes.
    Maybe the opening scenes driving to get the Christmas tree, or possibly Aunt Bethany and all her crazy antics throughout her scenes.

    The part where you mentioned, Chevy Chase being difficult to work with I wonder why!? Chevy is a comedic genius and could have been an A-lister still to this day, but going all the way back to the 1970s he was a real horse’s 🫏 to work with, and that encompasses directors and actors alike.

    2:05 During this scene showing all the people in the house sleeping (or trying to) the final person shown is E.G. Marshall, lying wide awake in the top bunk bed staring at a poster of a female pinup, whom I have no idea who it is. However, if you listen closely to the hymn "Silent Night" playing the background, the lyrics being sung are "Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep WITH A HEAVENLY PIECE."
    Also, ZMAM narrated this video by reading the IMDB trivia section about Christmas Vacation verbatim.

    clark's big rant is literally in the script word for word. IMDB site has the same claim made in this video incorrectly listed as one of their 'trivia" items for this movie. this creator used inaccurate stolen content that was ironically also spoken word for word in this video.

    • @ZMAMShow
      @ZMAMShow  7 месяцев назад +1

      It's public domain knowledge yo... Nothing to steal. And if you don't like it, then just move on. Some people like to listen vs. read, myself included usually. And if it's so inaccurate, they why don't you state where you found your info and be useful vs. being a troll...

    My favorite scene is Clark's rant. I'll never understand what happened to Chase's career. Did he just make bad choices, or was he just too difficult to work with and that kept him off of projects? He should still be in demand. Sadly, the last thing I saw him in was a mediocre netflix movie with Richard Dreyfuss. They both deserved better.

    • @getsmarter5412
      @getsmarter5412 7 месяцев назад

      He could be funny in front of the camera, but he wasn’t funny in life. High strung, caught up to him.

    • @joemurdoch4138
      @joemurdoch4138 7 месяцев назад

      @@getsmarter5412 a couple of years ago he got into an altercation on the road. He thought some guy in a truck had cut him off. He followed the truck to they came to a light then yanked the guy's door open and started yelling at him.
      The other driver didn't recognize him and had to kick him in the chest to make him back off.
      With antics like that it's a wonder Chase hasn't gotten himself killed.
      He has also had incidents with fans (people who paid money to see his films) where he became confrontational.
      Sad that someone who earned a good living making people laugh was such a miserable person.

    WTG...you made a video off of reading all the facts from the IMDB page exactly word for word. Next time, try to put a little work into it!

    • @ZMAMShow
      @ZMAMShow  7 месяцев назад

      See this is the problem. Most of you don’t realize the work that does go into these videos. Firstly, I rifle through all of the trivia and target only the ones that I actually think are interesting (b/c for some movies theirs a lot of duds)… Them I try to research the actors names/terms I can’t pronounce, etc. then I have to record it all and there’s plenty of mistakes. Then I have to splice them all together so they flow without error. Then I slice many video clips that most times hopefully match the trivia. Average video probably takes 6-7 hours. Is it so bad that some enjoy just listening to the trivia. Frankly I did these b/c I like listening and viewing the funny scenes at the same time. Why the hate? It’s not like I’m taking in crazy money off of this. Just for fun and something to pass the time…

    • @ZMAMShow

      I’ll take the feedback. I actually cut the audio so it sounds like I’m just rifling them off. Perhaps maybe a bit too fast.
