I always appreciate that I can come back to watch your videos for a refresher when it has been a hot minute since I have done a specific process. Just so I don’t forget a step. You are the best! Thank you Lynn.
@@ellenjgoods you are so welcome Lynn!! I get so excited when I see your videos pop up, and I am LOVING your Basement Chronicles!!! I wish I was close so I could come to your store, it’s so Beautiful! And meeting you, would be icing on the cake!! But, I live all the way South, in Oklahoma!! Maybe I can talk my Hubby into a vacation up your way. That would be a blast. I think I just “ dated” myself big time saying that! Lol, anyway, you encourage me, I’m not nearly as young as some of these Gals, and I didn’t start down the Decorative Furniture Painting path, until about 5 years ago, by then , I was just about mid 50’s. I LOVE watching all the Painters, but it’s really nice to see that people my age are getting it done too!! I hope that doesn’t insult you! I mean it as a COMPLIMENT!! And Girl, your story about lip lines, had me cracking up!! The STRUGGLE IS REAL!!! Oh well, I’ve started saying every single line on my face, holds a great deal of knowledge!! Anyway, keep on doing you, I really love your style!! You and your Family Take care and God Bless you Hun!!🙏♥️
These are perfect colors for my patio. Now I will need help coming up with some kind of table or dresser for storage to be used outside under the covered patio. This project is awesome
Ellen, You are the BEST at Teaching. 👏🏻 I have a Bucket List, my number 1 choice is to visit your store and meet you, Megan & Staff of course, it would make my trip Awesome. Can’t wait. Have some issues right now (caring for elderly parents) so of course this come first. But I (well with hubby) we will eventually Be THERE. Thank you for all your laughs, (need it at trying times) ideas- especially, & of course Megan acting Silly, just kidding. Greatly Appreciate. Emma Ramos
Well done 👍 love this piece 🤩. New to the inlay concept....would never have thought of doing a blend & then using liquid patina. Will definitely give this a try . Thanks for sharing
What a great idea to use the liquid patina instead of paint to apply the Inlay!!!! It must liquid patina must be wet and and wet the backing to remove (instead of letting it dry completely like you would with paint) wow
Yes! I have to say I did a happy dance when I did that test board and pulled away the inlay! Game changer! I didn’t let the patina completely dry. You really have to watch the timing. 💓
I love love love inlays. I saw there was new ones out today and I went on your website and ordered them. They are probably my favorite technique and the dresser you did is fabulous. I would love to come up with a few colors to put together and do the same technique. It really was beautiful. I cannot wait to get my inlays and find something to put them on.
Of course you created this gorgeousness Lynne! I’m curious though why you used the liquid patina instead of another layer of paint before laying down the inlay. I love this so much, can’t wait to get mine!
Because I had blended paint and it was to my liking so I did not want to change that. By using the LP it let me keep the paint the way it was and adhere the inlay.
I love love love love love how this turned out!!! It's Y'ALL who're finding out what to do with the inlays and I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Josie and Sally Jo saw your piece lol but especially Josie!!! You KNOW how much she loves COLOR!!! But this is beautiful and I can't wait to see what you do next!!! Oh and I bet JR and Megan love it too!!! XOXOXO from Florida CUTIEPATOOTIE 🤗❣️✌️ Pssst in case you forget it's me Arlinda 🤗
Dear Ellen, I've just watched your video and it's amazing, thank you for giving us a solution on how to put paint inlays on blended piece of furniture (it turned out gorgeous btw) now my question is, since I can't get Liquid Patina here in Croatia (Europe) do you maybe knows what else can I use instead, maybe Mod Podge, some other water based sealer like Clear coat or something else? Thank you so much for your help 🙌 I stuck in the middle of the work and don't know what to do next
Thank you so much for visiting us here. I think you could absolutely use any Clearwater base sealer. I always suggest doing a test sample, just like I showed you in the video. Thank you so much, let me know how it goes!

I need to do some research on this! I have the perfect dresser for this. It's already a periwinkle.
Try a paint inlay Carla, you will transform your dresser!
@@ellenjgoods at first I thought you used a lot of stencils. I like the look of your dresser
Absolutely stunning !!! Love love the colors
Thank you so much, we love the colors too!

Amazing 😻
Thank you Idania! 💓
Beautiful
Thank you Gina 💓
This is great Lynne, love the look. How long did you find was ideal to let the liquid patina dry?
It varies and you have to watch it close and NOT let it dry completely. Timing is important with the LP.
I had the same question.. working on one right now with a blended piece.🤞
Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing. My question is will you be able to use the inlays a second time after using the liquid patina?
No. The pigments are sealed with that liquid patina. However… I will use them for decoupage and mixed media! 💓

Drar Ellen, you've helped me a lot, thank you so much, I will test it first of course 😊💛
So beautiful 🤩….was the poly in your spray bottle big top .?
I interchange big top and fusion tough coat. Whatever is close by 😂 thank you!
Do you let chalk paint dry before applying Inlay??
No, paint inlays need to be laid into wet paint or top coat so they will be activated and "inlay" into the project.
Well, that turned out beautifully!! But the question is... was it fun??
Yes! SO fun 😊 Thank you for watching!
Never really cared for blended paint finishes of any kind just not my style but your killing me with this one😍🙌
#teachmemasterofcreating ♥️👏
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
That came out so beautiful. I love boho but my blending needs work. 😂
Thank you Laura! You just keep right on blending, you will get better every time!
