This is definitely a dream come true, not gonna buy it since the price is quite too high for me (not overpriced though), but just the fact that it exists makes me happy for the fans who since the daily bugle have waited for this set. But yeah, the daily bugle definitely blows this set out of the water in terms of certain parts of the interiors; as you said, simple offices are still a good choice, for me they could have included so many interesting stickers referencing more events from the movies while remaining in the realm of plausibility (on computer monitors or tv screens) without putting something that's explicitly not canon to the movies like that jail cell
Agreed. I wanted a big size Avengers tower for years but this is just a bit too much for me. £300 has always been about my limit. I love my Helicarrier and I wish I could've gotten this to go with it. I have the mini GWP Avengers tower so I'll stick with that for now
I am a castle fan, but still pretty amazed how far out they went with this and happy to see it come to fruition. Tons of playability, but most of it seems to be from an outside perspective its has quite a presence. I am sure it is hard to do a good interrior with all glass window walls. I think instead of a jail cell I would use it as a iron man suit protective case. and I would change the jarvis thing into the buildings engineering and power core room.
I just don't understand the argument that the price is too high. All lego sets are expensive. This is more expensive because it is much bigger. If someone buys small lego sets regularly, then instead of buying 5-6 small sets, can save up and buy this big set for the same price. And if someone doesn't buy small lego sets anyway, then why would even consider the big sets? Is it specifically because it's big? But then why complain about the price. Of course it's expensive, because it's big. Anyway, that's just my logic. Don't take this as a personal attack. I just don't understand the logic.

Its a small thing but i think a happy hogan figure is missing, as he was also featured in the tower in spiderman homecoming. He could have easily been picked over figures like wong
Or Kevin feige. I guess it’s cool he’s in the set, but I’d so much rather a relevant MCU character that we haven’t seen. I think this figure selection is considerably weaker than the bugle.
I totally agree about the inclusion about Loki’s cell. There are plenty of other scenes that they could’ve chosen from to put there. This also shows how limited LEGO is when it comes to making sets based off of movies. Which is why I really push for them doing more comic sets. With comic sets they have no limitations and can let their imagination go free when designing.
I suppose they wanted an iconic scene with black widow and/or they had a big space they couldn't find something to put in ?
I think the trans-black bricks by the hanger look that way because of the light coming through the trans-blue windows on the back, maybe 😁. I completely agree about Loki's cell. The whole thing with that cell was that it ejected out of the ship! This set is still a heater though, and I'll definitely be picking it up!🔥
Lobby scene from Endgame and Vision’s birth from Ultron are two scenes I haven’t yet seen in promo materials that I hope are included. If not, it’s salt in the wound of that Loki interrogation scene in the helicarrier being shoved in here.

I always appreciate hearing your thoughts on these new Lego sets, even though I'll probably never get any of the bigger sets due to space and price. While it makes sense to me for Avengers Tower to have some sort of holding cell for superpowered individuals, at least for until they could be transferred to a proper prison, they should have gone with a more generic prison cell setup. Either that, or go for some desks or offices like you said. Other than that, the set as a whole does look really, really good, especially if you're an MCU fan.

I do try to follow all LEGO releases but this is actually the first time I´ve heard about or seen this. No leaks, no announcements, no rumors. I don´t really care that anyone is first out the gate with news, if they´re some hours or days "late". I much more appreciate a trusted source like your content. Being terminally online like that sounds very unhealthy to me.
May have seen videos on this elsewhere, but no-one beats a Jang review. Keep up the good work! Your reviews are my Favorite!

Hey Jang. I just want to note the fact that I could be considered a fairly casual Lego fan as far as your viewers probably go. I enjoy your reviews and look forward to each one coming out. I don't subscribe to any other Lego based content creators. When you start off with "you already know all about this so I'm not going to cover the basics" I just want you to be aware that there are those of us that enjoy just your channel and may not know anything about these sets. You're of course welcome to run your channel and your reviews however you choose, I just thought I'd let you know there are those of us that only watch your channel, and don't feel you need to apologize for perceived redundancy. I sorta agree with Jang that the Loki prison could be something else. But the logic I'm seeing (and I can be really wrong, ya know, just opinions).
It looks like they already had a Loki in this set, so they want the rooms to match the characters they have. And then it seems a lot like a play-set more than a display. I got a strong impression of "play" when I noticed the Quinn Jet had stud shooters on it. The kind of thing display people hate, but play people love.
So I'm thinking, having a prison for the kid to lock the bad guy up could absolutely be a fun play feature. Loki is the bad guy. The big bad guy in this set. He has a chariot to play with. The Lev, all those henchmen. The hulk scene. The prison seemed like a reasonably logical thing to include even if it's not canonically in the tower.
It also kinda reminds me how lots of older Lego sets always had jails in their pirate and castle sets. Screams play feature.

Also, I'm NOT a Marvel fan, so I'm not educated on this set. I do know that the Loki prison is on the Helicarrier, but also the most recent Tower before this one ALSO had a prison in it, for uh, the Red Skull guy. I don't even remember that scene in any of the movies. But it would prove an establishing point for the tower actually having a prison in it.
I concur that Loki’s cell is a play feature for kids. Kids love putting figures of ‘bad guys’ in prison which is why most of LEGO’s police stations and castles of recent years include jails. Maybe Avengers Tower is designated 18+ but LEGO knows perfectly well that some privileged kids will receive this as a play set.

If they were gonna add something in the tower that didn’t belong there instead of the holding cell. It would’ve been cool to get PYMs Test Kitchen from the Avengers Campus Park. With the little pretzels and maybe a big brick built pretzel. Then the inclusion of Ant-Man AND Wasp would’ve made a little more sense.

Biggets issue: In the Avengers, it was "Stark tower".
Also, i wish they included Tony's suit up "ring" that takes off his armor when he lands on the top balcony

Lego hitting it out of the park with the figures on these big Marvel buildings! Lots of them, good variety good guys/bad guys, and several well executed rare/exclusive ones. Wish more Star Wars capital ships got the 20+ fig treatment like these do
This thing is really immense in size, I saw the designer reveal and was baffled at the height

I really like this, to be honest! And I understand why they didn't include the lower floors (which is part of the real metlife building), but I'd like to see custom versions that include that section under this build

The building is stunning..for the most part I wish the prison / holding cell they put Loki in wasn’t used in this set. I would have liked if the set had 2 Iron Legion min figures.. we definitely didn’t need another dummy or Wang since they’re probably counting dummy as a min figure something that I liked from the first avenger tower was the side of the building open and the iron legions would enter and exit the tower.. that actually happened in the movie. Holding Loki didn’t
Another thing I would have like too see is some where we can put an armor display case .. or two. inside the tower just the room would been nice. So we could use one from the previous 2 hall of armories .. that would work nicely or just include one in the set
Ok now this is a Nick-pic the quintet ..I hope for one they include a set of Avengers ‘s A or a choice between a Shield emblem I am hoping we get that option so we can display it how we like the other thing and probably the one I’m having the most difficulty getting over in regards too the Quinjet is the blue windshield.. clear or the dark grey would have been my choice
Cap vs Cap.. I’m sorry I want point out that yes I understand in end game what happened. End game Cap had to get pass battle for new York Cap .. but my problem comes from end game Cap’s uniform was clean whereas the other Caps uniform was dirty and torn .. Lego couldn’t have done a battle damage uniform for one of the Cap .. I guess only one battle damage figure was allowed and it went to Iron man
I get why Ant man is in the set but not the wasp ..trade her out for Quicksilver

As a collector of the modular buildings first I'll pass, but for the right audience I bet the compatibility of this set is super exciting. I love the inter-set compatibility focus LEGO has had over the past year or two.
It is not on Lego in anyway, but it’s insane to me that the Canadian economy is so poor that Lego is marked up at like 20% compared to every other market. It has prevented me from purchasing a lot of my wishlist sets just because paying 15% tax on an already marked up product really deals the deal on not bothering.
I really want this set, I had bought the Sanctum Sanctorum a few months ago and now I’m debating if I should buy this one because of the price which is twice the price of the Sanctum.
It looks really nice and spot on.
I hope window pieces won't come all scratched up.
So many stickers in a high end set is kind of ridiculous.
Drop 10 figures, the vehicles and flying alien thing to get the price down by $100 bucks and it would be an easy buy for me. As it is now with it being $757.00CAD after taxes... that is extremely hard to justify for a single Lego set. I'd like it next to the Daily Bugle and Sanctum Sanatorium on my shelf display but I don't want to have to eat the box it comes in for a month to afford it.
I have to disagree on the proportions. I think it’s pretty much spot on given the scale and how round it is.
I completely agree on the inclusion of the cell. I’ll probably move one of the rooms up myself and make a Hulkbuster repair bay or the Legion repair bay.

I do not have any LOTR sets but I do love both fandoms. Since the price point is the same, What would be your choice this Christmas as the set to get? Thanks!

I think the blue through the trans-black is light passing through a blue window behind before passing through the trans-black. As in, you see light from the other side of the tower covered in the blue windows.
Why does it have pins at the bottom? Is something else coming that you could attach to the tower?

There’s that pretty well known party scene from AoU that could’ve been instead of Loki’s prison cell. Does seem weird to include that. Always love a super high minifig count though!

I don't mind the helicarrier prison inclusion tbh, it's an iconic scene regardless and at least is in an Avengers film
More surprised by certain minifig inclusions/omissions, in particular for me there's no human Bruce Banner fig!
No Bruce Banner does sort of make sense since they’ve technically not doubled up on any characters otherwise, the Iron Man suits aren’t necessarily being worn by Tony Stark and the second Captain America is the alternate timeline one from Endgame. Still, there’s quite a few characters that would’ve made more sense than Wong
This Avenger Tower is so impressive!!! And tall, which means it won't leave a huge footprint in a display, only in height, still the price is super steep for me, It's not out of the realm of possibilities to get this one (and put it next to the Daily Buggle, how cool would that be? Yes, DC and Marvel display all together!) , I would love to get this set one day!

Overall it's a great set, but I totally agree about the helicarrier scene. What is that doing here? Surely there's enough cool things inside the tower to depict without having to resort to adding scenes from entirely different locations
that loki cell should have been then the scene from age of ultron with all those ironman drones are located

Honestly, I'd combine the unoffical approach of Panlos with their "Hero Tower" and this set, if I had the money.
The trans black bricks are great for making airfield control towers so it is nice we get them with this set.
I wish they put all of the quin-jet pieces into making the leviathan larger.
The set should have come with alternate signage at the top to make it Stark Tower. It starts off as Stark Tower in the beginning of the 2012 Avengers movie until the end when every letter in STARK gets damaged except for the A.
The gift with purchase should have been the shawarma joint.
I think rather than Loki's cell, having the party scene where Cap tries to lift Mjolnir would be good. If that's in there, haven't seen it.

Panlos 55120 Hero Tower has more parts (5883), looks far better and more movie accurate and is around 200-250$. Put minifigs (the only thing which stand out) for another 50$ in it and you have a far better product and 200$ for other things.

I think the smaller windows are trans-black but look trans-dark blue due to the light filtering through the giant trans-light blue side
Perhaps they could have designed it to be able to slide each room out like drawers in able to properly access them?
The scenes inside the Avengers Tower build are scenes associated with Avengers. Doesn't bother me that the scene didn't take place in the Tower. Like the Jurassic Park build with scenes in the gate.
A "cocktail" scene from age of Ultron (when ultron first arrives), or the birth of Vision scene, would've been better than the Loki cell. It's narrow inside, though, so perhaps they couldn't go that direction. I have the Bugle and the Sanctum, and really enjoy these builds and displaying them. So I'll be getting this, but am slightly disappointed in the interior.
Regarding "things" that don't show up at Avengers tower in this set, Wasp and Wong (Black Panther and the Outriders as well) never appear at the tower. I am excited to get this at some point but the lack of Quicksilver is the most disappointing thing missing from the set. Wasp at least makes sense as Ant-Man is there and they are both OG avengers.

I’m not one to obsess over figures, but some of these choices seem very odd. 2 Caps and multiple shield agents over Bruce Banner, different version of ultron, strange etc
Alot of focus on avengers 2012, but the building wasn't even avengers tower in that film (it was stark tower). Its a great looking build, but I wish they represented more of the second film aswell
I think that the cell could be a "made up" holding cell for Loki after he was captured in the end of the movie, and it could just be that there was a cell there. Again, I think that it most obviously reads as the scene from the helicarrier, which just makes that decision mad confusing.

Some scene/character choices seem bizarre but in total it looks like a good set with a more interesting building shape than The Daily Bugle. The price seems fair but it's out of my budget.

I like the overall look and verticality of the building, but unfortunately this isn't for me as I'm not into the source material and I'm not a big minifig guy
My only wish is that I wish they included pieces to have the stark tower logo instead

It is worth $500 and will be a set the minute you can get a 20-30 percent off sell I will jump on… also a set post retirement with 2 years will be 800-1000 bucks
For a 500$ set it would have been nice to include different signs to be able to switch between Avengers Tower and Stark Tower, maybe even battle-damaged stark tower.

Yeah, I myself am NOT a marvel fan at all. But this set seems like a good one for those who want exclusive minifigures and a nice display piece for their collection. Though I feel like the prison cell is too much of a "play feature" to be in a set this big and obviously should be marketed to the older fans who can afford it. Idk that's my take anyway.
Im ok with the prison cell. The Battle of New York happened in Stark tower, not Avengers tower. Lego love having holding cells/prisons in their larger playsets, it allows for imaginative play.
Despite being out there for a while, it is not "officially out" until Jang talks about it. At least for me. Thank you Jang!
Why not instead of Loki's cell, include the couch scene where Cap just barely lifts Mjolnir?
Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room - that $500 price tag. As much as I adore Lego sets, at that price point, it's no longer just a "toy." It's a masterpiece, an investment, but not a toy. Jang with his immersive experience , delivers yet another great review. Thanks!

No Bruce Banner but 2 Captain Americas and 3 Shield agents is an odd choice.
Why are Wong and Wasp in the set? It makes no sense to me. I can't remember a single scene of either of them in Avengers Tower, and they're not even in the main 2 movies featured (Avengers and Age of Ultron). My only reasoning I can think of is that they had a bunch of left over Wong figures from the Sanctum Sanctorum set... but then why do we have a 50% new Wasp figure???
Wasp kinda makes sense since she’s a founding Avenger in the comics and did technically get a solo movie during the Infinity Saga. Wong is just weird though, even if they had to reuse a fig from the Sanctum Doctor Strange or Spiderman would’ve been better choices
