There is one more factor for an epic title, shouting out the title name for dramatic effect. My favourite example of this, is to shout, "THE WEB OF FEEEAR". If it sounds absolutely epic, dramatic and purely mystical, then it's definitely an S tier. If I was to shout, "THE GUNFIGGHTERS". It just isn't there, there's nothing to go off here. It's not really mystical nor dramatic. It's an F tier. idk I think I'm going crazy from watching Classic Who.
I love how your descent into madness and then ascent out of it and then into it again is observable. After a certain amount of regular sized videos, you release something upwards of an hour and just go INSANE talking about Doctor Who. Good video.
I'm hyped for the new season, HOWEVER, we all know the issues with the timing, BUT, a big but is that it is released just after my gcse's start soooo... I sad.
48:00 I think my issue with Rosa is that it basically regurgitates the same pop-history retelling you typically get when it had the opportunity to do something far more interesting with the actual history involved. I wouldn’t even b take issue with it if Demons of the Punjab wasn’t doing exactly that in the same season. I have a different but related issue with Legend of the Sea Devils in that Cheng I Sao was such an interesting figure to play around with, and they squandered her potential so hard. Not only was she a pirate so powerful and successful that she forced the government to compromise and let her retire with all her money, but she was also doing all of this as a woman in the 1800s. Did we get a story that did her justice, then? No, and that’s not even talking about the sea devils.
eh i don't really mind, yeah demons of the punjab is a step above but 'pop-history' is pretty much every dr who historical. i don't think they really needed to reinvent the wheel for a rosa parks story
1) The toymaker was never called “The celestial toymaker” in the original story, so dropping that title for his return in the Giggle makes perfect sense to me! We don’t call the monk “the time meddler” either so at least it’s consistent. 2) If the idea that Grace is the “Woman who fell to earth” is true (something I’m surprised you didn’t mention but you was in a bit to deep at that point) that means she’s the only companion who gets an episode named After her in the 13th doctors entire run. Bit of a letdown TBH the companions in Chris tenure needed more development. Yaz could’ve benefited from a episode like “Amy’s choice”
Honestly the Pertwee and Baker era titles were pretty unoriginal. They were all titled "The deadly X of X" and stuff like that. They even made of fun of this fact in the curse of fatal death.

Rewatching this video for procrastination reasons, and I gotta say I think "The Myth Makers" and "The Sun Makers" are really underrated titles in your list. Maybe I just like titles that have a bit of a god-complex going on.

If you have any ideas for a title for an intrigue story set on an airship colony high enough in Venus’s atmosphere to have livable air pressure, please share them) In Plain Sight (Mansa Musa rutan story I mentioned before) The Things That Lived On Mars(Ice Warriors) Evolution, alternatively Beneath a Silver Sky(rogue nanotech threatens to consume all resources on a far future Earth) Alternative Paths(The Monk meddles) The Second Sun(an alien people bathe in the light of an interplanetary laser which has taken so long to get there that they think it’s another sun and the forgot about the war that made someone fire it at them)
I love fan projects so definitely keep it up! These all sound great as well but for the sake of constructive criticism, I will force myself to 'rate' them at your behest. So keep in mind that A- this is all in good fun, I love fan projects and I like all these titles and B- I suck at making episode titles😂 1- I’d say this is probably the weakest, as either part of the title would probably work better by itself. I imagine this is a back and forth in the actual story and makes more sense in context though 2- I like this one, probably my favourite 3- You say you don’t like this one but I think it’s pretty cool. Although it does sound like a newspaper 4- This one’s cool, sounds like a VNA title 5- I get the reference to ‘Thing from Another World’ but similarly to that title I think maybe turn ‘things’ to the singular ‘thing’ (?) If I had to force a criticism ofc. 6- I think I prefer the second version of the title 7- This is a good one although even if unintended I find the idea of an episode called “The Monk Meddles” (akin to the Doctor Dances) funnier. Depends on the tone of the story you’re trying to tell I suppose. 8- And your final title, while cool, might not be climactic enough for a finale. Unless of course this isn’t a full season structure and these are all individual stories in which case, very cool. Thank you for sharing this and I hope my comment was helpful! @@dwfan91- This season is more of an anthology-type format similar to Series 11. The next season, on the other hand, I haven't developed much, but I plan on having the central antagonist be the Great Vampires.
When I first heard ‘The Faceless Ones’ I assumed it was some cool classic horror-esq idea and was super pumped to watch it one day. Wasn’t quite what I expected when I first saw it though 😅

An interesting fact I saw from Twitter is that Chibnill never titled an Episode on any of the Companions because RTD had Rose, Runaway Bride, Smith & Jones, Church on Ruby Road. The Moff had Amy's Choice, the Girl who waited, plus The Impossible Astronaut. Also, I do see a sight pattern of good episodes having good names, however I would say an Episode like Nikola's Tesla Night of Terrors is an awful title but great Episode. Likewise with Bells of Saint John, I almost wish it was titled Clara? Now for a bad episode with a great name, I think of Nightmare in Silver or Wedding of River Song.

Personally not a fan of the Aztecs or the Reign of terror. Saying that might make me seem like i dont like the things historical whixh isnt the case i do just genuinely think that these episodes are quite dull. Not to mention the gaping plot hole in the Aztecs as to why Barbara couldnt just order the Aztecs to break down the wall hiding the Tardis. I love most the others but these stuck with me.

I don’t think the chibnal era is bad, i prefer rtd or moffat, but its still good, im rewatching modern who (so that the blue line is on every episode 😅) and i have 71 episodes left, mostly season 11, 12 & 13… but thats probably because its over hated lol. 10 days to go! This title is an omage to the book "Journey to the centre of the earth" by Jules Verne, whitch is one of my favorite books of all time. (He also wrotw "around the world in 80 days" or "20.000 leaks under the sea") So the title might be long but this episode and especially the title will always hold a special place in my heart.
Yeah I did see this; the main people I see negatively affected by this and fans outside the UK as its likely people like me will be able to pick it up discounted from physical locations- so the price hike is really unfair. But even with that aside, its just a ridiculous pricing scheme.
