Epic troll peek-a-boo battle was not what I was expecting from the title of this video, lol. Awesome! I think you should keep the chest with the troll stuff and trash the other one. It would save you time to keep the tin, but then that could be said for most of the stuff you may lose. If you want to do this challenge you should commit all the way. We all know you enjoy tough challenges and I suspect you'll be happier in the long run not fudging the lines of what you can pick back up. Great video as always, so glad to have you back and that the water issue is resolved for y'all:)

surely you can pick the troll hide thow, you took it after you killed the troll. I vote in keeping the second chest.
That's what I saw in my edits. That bag we picked up on accident only had the knife in it. So i'm leaning toward keeping the chest with the troll skin. But we did revive, pick up and perish again with some of the ore from around our bed. So that second bag is trash! lol

Didn't you empty your inventory before you died the first time? Seems like all you should lose for that death was your knife. Accidentally running over discarded gear shouldn't count against you when you're fighting for your life. The second death is the same, as it looked like you should have been stripped from death, but maybe I missed you gearing back up or something. If I get a vote, I say since your intentionally making the game harder than it is, your intention to fight a troll in a pit naked with only a knife should be what matters.

Oh yeah! Feels good to just play normal Valheim again. It's been a while.
The Midlands is certainly worth the playthrough!
did you know that when you want to run from an enemy, switching to your hammer is instant and has no movement speed penalty instead of putting away your axe? that has saved my life countless times. and double tapping the button allows you to keep running while instantly putting away what you had in your hand previously

If the contents of your dead body is too much to fit in your inventory, it will let you look. If the contents on you plus your dead body is enough to fit in one inventory, it will just auto add it
Great to see you back, Hiccup! I hope you were able to get your water issues squared away. The grave will automatically transfer over as much as it can to you. If you don't have room/weight capacity for everything it will open the inventory windows. As a side note, I'm not sure why you set this "don't recover your stuff" rule for yourself. It's going to make the game a *lot* more tedious; like when you're in higher level areas where mobs can 1 or 2 shot you if you don't have good gear on. Especially gear that requires harder to obtain ores. Of course it's your choice to make, I'm just not sure how sustainable it is.
Just gotta make sure I come prepared and ready to rumble everywhere I go. No more silly, risky combats for me. Unless I have too... like with this troll. haha.

Suggestion, get the delete items mod, so u can clear out your tombstones and delete the stuff from it, well I still think you should do choose 50% to keep :D
Not a bad idea, but someone mentioned making a mausoleum for all my dead drops I'm not allowed to use. which is a build I would love to do later in the series. haha. Oh man, the memories that place will have.
You can turn auto pick up off with B or V, i forget which.
Oh, I feel like i remember reading this when setting up my controls... but I've never done it and completely forgot about it! lol
@@HiccupTheHermit yeah, if you're still doing the "No grave recovery" thing then turning that off can prevent unnecessary loss of resources like with that copper. Hope it saves you some headache.

Yea, that makes sense, I guess my bag is usually full if I run back to it through a battlefield of debris. lol
There's no point in throwing out the ore, yuo're just gonna mine more to replace it, may as well not burn the time. That knife is gone though rip.

That's just a roll dodge done right on the edge. its just fun looking! Sometime I do it while my character is walking down stairs and it looks like I tripped! lol

As much as I want to enjoy the series him not wanting to pick up his bags after death is really turning me away from it
Any tips on how to make the copper deposit drop any quicker because it feels like I got a bust the whole thing from underneath
This is the way I do it, there could be a better way, but I always kinda just play how I enjoy playing. But it sounds like we do things the same way.
Timely showed me this method. I use the pick and outline the whole copper deposit. Then slowly start digging into the center at the lowest points. Whatever is left floating afterward can be broken all at once if it's not being supported.
The Whole you dig by outlining the copper makes it harder for enemies to reach you. Greydorks will still throw rocks to hit you and they can fall in like this troll did... but mostly it keep out critters. And like it did in this episode you can camp and keep a fire going if you dig around and under. I think its fun and pretty quick.

Its a seasonal thing. Will probably be unlocked again next holiday season.
20:20 is throwing your stuff on the ground (so you dont lose them) then fighting a tough enemy against the rules of your challenge?
Not in my mind, no, I'm just not allowed to pick up anything from my bags after death. I'll be very picky about what i do carry around with me from now on. Lol
