Yeah the reason security is so tight there is because a couple years ago at comicon a guy brought in a bunch of real weapons and was going to try and kill the guy that played the green power ranger. I was there that year. It was nuts.
I was there on Saturday and Reggie said you were at your hotel lol. It was my first Gaming Expo ever AND it was INSANE. Could NOT believe there was such a massive thriving retro Gaming culture in my home state!
@ 4:50 MVC is the first Arcade game I played, probably about 1998 when I was in 3rd grade. I didn't really know what to do but push buttons lol. Now I play MVC2 on my PS2 and MVC3 on my PS3. So cool to see in the video!!! :)
Hey MJ! I'm an old school gamer born in '75 so I been in it since Pong. Been watching your channel for awhile and I got to give you a Kudos, awesome dude! Wish all reality TV was like this. Your video filming is great, your editing is great love it. Your team is so cool. You guys do a grand job and you all deserve a thumbs up. Thanks and keep up the good work.
I hope you enjoyed my home state of Arizona! Hopefully you didnt melt too much from the heat lol And I'm glad you guys caught Cobra Arcade on an off day. USUALLY theirs a line around the block, waiting to get in.
90F still @ midnight? I thought it got cold at night in the desert? I know in the winter months, the temp swings suck. Pitching a tent it's nice in the evening but then you better have your sleeping bag ready to pull up cus the temp drops out of site and it's not cool but cold. Not so in the summer months uh?
@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism you're right about the desert. But they were in the city. The asphalt absorbs the heat during the day and radiates it at night.
I’ve been meaning to check out the Expo as a Phoenix native & finally made it out this year, it did not disappoint! I saw you outside the convention center as I was walking up to the expo on Sunday & gave you a shout but didn’t want to interrupt your convo you were having. Next year I’ll definitely get the three day pass!
@@NeckBreakingStunts agree to disagree I suppose. Most of the rest of the country is like living in your freezer for 4 months out of the year, which is a hard pass for me. I like the heat.
That Phoenix heat is absolutely brutal. It literally feels like you're in an oven and it's hard to breathe. Houston's heat is nothing compared to Phoenix, I kind of like the humidity. Makes me so grateful to live in Los Angeles where it's gorgeous and comfortable year round.
This year was the first time I have made it to this expo, didn't make it Saturday for your panel but got to say hello to you on Sunday, hope you get to come back next year and do a panel again and I manage to get off work for the whole weekend. I did find some good games that I have been wanting for the gamecube I found Luigi's Mansion (one of my all time favorites ), Robotech Battlecry (I am a child of the 80s and a huge Robotech geek) as for the ps2 Star Ocean Till the End Of Time another of my favorites from that generation
Ah jeez Portland is all the retro gaming convention I need in a year! Phoenix in the summer. The town is literally named after a bird that burns into ashes.
That looked like so much fun!!! Hopefully you can come all together to the next Vancouver Retro Gaming Expo next year! Kinsey's panel this year was great! :)
I don't understand how this video can get down votes! I'm lost ...it's family friendly, interesting, and delivered in such a warm manner. Cheers again MJR
I cannot tell you how long I have been watching you. Literally before I had an email. You are probably the best RUclipsr I know. Just wanted to tell you that.
I'm into games but not so with retro games. The retro gaming scene is also virtually non existent where I'm located. But I still watch this channel religiously because of the positivity it projects. Thanks for all the videos MJR!
I am so bummed. I was there literally all day Saturday and I didn't see any of you guys. According to my friend I was standing next to the John Hancock while looking at Phantasy Star IV... and he was in fact the person next to me who said "Oh man that's an amazing game, you should get that..." but due to me being anti-social, I didn't even look over just said, "Awesome, thanks, I'll do that." Oh well, next year!
Dude I have LITERALLY played on that Simpsons arcade at Cobra. That’s my home town and I was there a few years back for a party. Fun place!! Wish I was there for this. Ok ok. Time to watch the rest of the video lol. Edit: a few years back I also went to Game On Expo and met you there for a second. Great expo! I just wish they had even a single big box pc game lol. The idea of the fridge door going into the club, was inspired by the film, Blade. ✌️
Or was the film, Blade inspired by this place? ;)
Blade had a fridge door indeed... but I think this idea goes back to the Speakeasy days.

Metal Jesus really loved meeting ya and getting to shake your hand. Also, i know it's hard but please do more expo the footage is awesome.
I had such a great time hanging out with the crew. This was a great expo and looking forward to seeing it grow!
The Phoenix area has this chain of record stores called Zia that sell a ton of used games. Worth checking out if your ever in the area.
Bookman's trades and sells used games too but I haven't been in a few years.
No way incredible!!!
I hope Phoenix zia isn't struggling. In tucson one of them closed down so there's just one left, same with bookman there's only 2 left now.
alan sixx I go there like all the time they are doing ok people always looking for items physical media :)
When Reggie's not on screen everyone else should be asking, "where's Reggie?"
Haha nice Simpsons reference 😂
I thought he was gonna say Reggie got into some trouble with the law and got busted. I would have died if he said that 😂
Loved the panel! So glad we were able to be there for it! My husband asked a few questions too :D
Great to see a bunch of great friends enjoying each others company without everyone staring at their damn phones!
They put you first because you’re good. You put the good ones first to create a positive vibe for the rest of the show.
