They looked like custom jobs, probly knocked them together at the same time. Definitely the best setup, all the weight at the front, long and narrow and looked like a belt drive to the rear wheels. If you're climbing up a sand hill that would no doubt be the best way to go.
Wish I had sand dunes like there, I should do the same with my RC buggy. Great to see that on the other side of the world, with a different culture, we share the same hobby. Go on!!
by the way did that guy have a new castle 1717 1600KV in a slash 4x4 that's a lot of power. I had 2700 kV and street tires and did 98 miles an hour with additional modifications and aerodynamics
The 1st car is scary fast. With the longer wheel base idea taken from drag racing it has great stability, just like a top fuel dragster. Brilliant stuff. I thought the little lad was going to be the quickest then. Great video and thanks for sharing.
I think your sport looks really exciting; obviously the slope must be far steeper than it looks on video so the cars´ designers have to keep the weight low to avoid wheelies while having enough suspension travel to maintain traction...the first car we see in your video is a brilliant response to this unique set of requirements. Thanks for posting - I had no idea this sport existed in rc form.

Mounting the battery on or past the front and using a decent helicopter gyro on the steering servo would help in keeping a straight-line run.
