Haha! Thank you for being apart of the journey. Happy ribboning.
Thank you 😊
Very helpful! Thank you so much! I'm trying to learn ribbon twirling for a play I am doing and I'm so nervous! You make it look easy, you must have heaps of practice :)
Thank you for your comment. I wish you the best of luck, ribbon dancing is very therapeutic!
Got my first solo after 10 years on my dance team. I have to do a freestyle Ribbon dance. 😁

I have this gymnastics ribbon
Thanks so much for this! I'm an absolute beginner, and just received my ribbon in the mail today :) I've been trying the twister, but I can't get mine to flow nicely in the air like yours does. Plus, I can't seem to get full circles, even though I'm twirling the wand really fast. Is there a way I can get mine to look like yours?
Hey Liz Bee! I am so glad you are ribbon dancing, it is a very fulfilling and underrated art form. I have two tips off the bat. 1.)Make sure you warm up your wrist and shoulders. You shoulders are the most mobile joints in your body so you want to start slow and really find a balance of shoulder mobility and stability. Your wrist are very sensitive, so you want to make sure they are warmed up to work efficiently and in your favor. 2.) I do Bellydance and Bollywood inspired dance! These are two styles that have very detailed hand and wrist choreography. Cross-training in these styles will help you develop that wrist articulation. I know it can get frustrating when you first start out, but enjoy the journey not the destination and know that if you practice consistently your body will adapt. 3.) Don't underestimate the power of visualization techniques. If you can visualize yourself doing it, then you can do it! You need to train those neuromuscular pathways. In dance, Isolations like twisters are tricky, but it will come!

Do you know a website that sell MADE IN U.S.A stick & ribbon? I just need one, but a dozen (in bulk) is good too. It is to learn and practice with a group.
Hey! I haven't found a company that produces in bulk, but hopefully you can make your own if it will be cheaper!
what size would you recommend for someone who has never dances with ribbon and wants to learn ?
Hello! Sorry for the late reply, I hope this meets you well! Definitely 4-6m. 6m is great if you have a lot of space, 4m is fun too if you don't have as much space. The most important factor is going to be the wand! Because you can always swap out the ribbon length, but a stand that is too small is no fun.
Somewhere around 55-60cm is a great wand size for older dancers.
What is the brand of your ribbon mine is domyos 4m
I sell my own dance ribbons!
