Hah! The blooper was funny. Never seen you panic like that. She was so calm. Also, i liked the grocery cart analogy. Never heard that before, but thats a great way to explain how the steering works
Great job, and it's good to hear the 60" Titan now has the 26 hp Kohler engine. One thing I did not hear discussed was the transmissions. The base Titan 60" has the Hydro Gear ZT-2800 while the Titan Max is outfitted with the beefier Hydro Gear ZT-3100's. This may be meaningful to many potential buyers. note: However, my Toro Timecutter MX5050 74770 50 inch has over 600 hours and came with the ZT-2800's. I pull carts full of mulch, weighted aerators, fully loaded 25 gallon tank sprayer, cultivator-seeder and after nearly 11 years, I have never had a problem with mower or transmission.
Great entrance level Zero Turn episode, the comparison between a Top of the Line Residential and the Entry Level Commercial mower is probably of interest to a lot of Viewers. With your guidance and her skills your Sister seemed to catch on fairly quickly. As she continues to use it her comfort level will increase and the enjoyment of cutting the grass will become something to look forward to rather than a chore to get done. I’ve heard others saying that they enjoy the alone time cutting grass, which is something you don’t get with a lot of other weekly tasks. 😀👍👍👍
Your sister done a great job of adjusting to running the zero turn. You sure can't deny she's your sister. Looks so much alike. That blooper was definitely blooper of the year. Adam, have a wonderful day
Good review, Adam!! We had a zero turn mower & gave it to our son when we moved to our little yard 🫤 I loved mowing with that mower - still help our son with his huge yard a lot!! God bless y'all!! Loved your little freakout episode!! Thanks for sharing! 😉♥️
@HometownAcres It really helped him a lot!! He works hard, has 2 of our incredible Grands, & is a busy man. I'm thankful we could help them. And, it makes it easy to help him with his yard & get to spend more time with them!! 😉♥️
I had a Gravely ZT XL-54 which was a heavy duty residential mower. I mowed 4.5 acres of hybrid Bermuda grass in NC and it would knock it out in around 3-3 1/2 hours. The newer Toro’s are great machines.
They( somebody) will have to pry my cold dead hands off my Titan max! I absolutely love everything about this machine! Factory specs say 13 psi for all 4 tires but if you reduce it down to 10- 11 psi the ride is 100% smoother. The $7000 BEAST MOWER!
Nice machine Adam! You may want to install an inline fuel shutoff knob for that mower. Even with ethanol free or high test, it is good peace of mind to have it shut off at least for the winter months.
GOOOOOD SUNDAY MORNING EVERYONE from what’s going to be a HOT 🥵 90 degree day here in Virginia Beach…I just upgrade my zero turn too. Bought my neighbors (they’re moving & down sizing) 1.5 year old Exmark Radius S 60” deck & so far we love it… Thanks for the review/comparison Have a day
13:26 really convenient how the utility curb box was left sticking up above grade. You may still be able to lower that, depending on the design it will lower by either turning clockwise or if it's a slider just give it a wack or two with a small sledge. Either way no one wants to mow around that box forever.
Very good review. I have a small lawn and made some of it "meadow" type. It's a shame that lawns are wildlife deserts. But the longer the grass, the more ticks. So what are you gonna do. But happy to see lots of bees and things visiting the wildflowers. All the best !
That's really weird about the brakes on the Toro. I have a Scag 52" Patriot, and it has a foot brake. The parking brake is a latch that holds the foot brake down, and pressing the foot brake releases it. It'll kill the engine if you get out of the seat with the control levers open and the parking brake not applied, and rarely is that a problem. Basically, unless you choose not to use the foot brake, then you'll never be in the uncontrolled neutral rolling position like the Toro. I'm also surprised that even the 2021 doesn't have a ROPS bar. I thought they were mandatory now. Mine does, and it's never been a problem. Plus I can mount lights there if I ever wanted to mow at night.
The biggest feature in any mower for me would be the ability to tilt up the mower deck to access blades and to clean. On my current mower, I have to completely remove the mower deck in order to service it. Real pain.
Ok I know this might seem dumb, but could someone clear this up for me? PTO, Power Take Off, is that named that way because it's taking power from the engine and redirecting it? ("Off the tractor, onto the external tool?") I always hear the "Takeoff" part and think like, a drag race or a rocket ship, but I've always known that isn't what it means lol
I would like to have a newer mower, but with all the nightmare stories I see on the facebook groups for all new mowers, toro, hustler, scag, ferris etc. I just cant justify it when you can buy good used mowers all day long in the 2k to 5K range. Pretty much all older mowers from the early 2000's up to maybe 2015 range are solid. It seems like all newer mowers no matter what the brand have major issues. I mean on a weekly basis I see people with mowers that they paid 10k to 20K with less than 100 hours and the wont even start or the decks cut unevenly or the hydros are shot in less than 10 hours, or bearings shot in various places because they forgot to put grease in them from the factory. I mean you shouldn't be having these kind of issues out of a brand new mower. On the flip side I have a 2004 Hustler Fastrak, 2005 Hustler Fastrak, 2002 61" FERRIS IS3000 , a 2002 toro proline 44. These mowers are all almost 20 years old or older and still going with nothing more than routine maintenance. I mean I see mowers of this age in the 3500 to 5000 hour range on a regular basis. I mean there is no way this is happening on any newer equipment without issues unless it is a diesel. Don't get me wrong either my toro proline has the best cut in my opinion over all my mowers, but I don''t think I would buy a new version of it.
All stories have two sides, lot of conversation regarding ROPS--catch them on a tree limb or a utility guy wire and if you are still upright it won't take you long to fold them down. If you get into trouble with ROPS and you are not wearing your seatbelt you really have problems! Comparing this zero to a cheap lawn tractor would not be a difficult task! You should probably share with Sis you always turned INTO the 13% when mowing back and forth.
If really wanted to cut your mowing time down keep both, the boy is almost mowing age and him running one on the flatter open areas will half your time( i started pushing the mower at 6) ( without any safety features and still have 10 toes).
I have to laugh when trying to teach anyone how to drive a zero turn mower. But, once you get used to it, you won’t go back to one with a steering wheel
It's deceiving how the two mowers are labeled - light commercial/residential LOL. They are the same where it counts! They use the same engine & hydro units.
Never point the business end of any running mower in the direction of your car or anything you care about. I guessed you would keep the Max for yourself. It only makes sense with your terrain.
Not a true comparison because one mower is set up for residential use, which is used once a week compared to a light commercial use which is used multiple times a week and on multiple different terrain and projects
I have a new Toro battery mower, it sucks, drive wheel falls off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.

I just got a zero turn two weeks ago. Much better than a tractor mower. Have a great day, take care and God Bless!!!❤😊
Good review, Adam!! We had a zero turn mower & gave it to our son when we moved to our little yard 🫤 I loved mowing with that mower - still help our son with his huge yard a lot!! God bless y'all!! Loved your little freakout episode!! Thanks for sharing! 😉♥️
I bet your son loves having it. That was very nice of you to give it to him
@HometownAcres It really helped him a lot!! He works hard, has 2 of our incredible Grands, & is a busy man. I'm thankful we could help them. And, it makes it easy to help him with his yard & get to spend more time with them!! 😉♥️
Adam you know that you just made your sister 👩 very happy with the new mower because it looked like 👍 she had had enough of the old mower 😮😊❤
You and I have same problem...we are not cutting grass...we are shaving moss😂
I had a Gravely ZT XL-54 which was a heavy duty residential mower. I mowed 4.5 acres of hybrid Bermuda grass in NC and it would knock it out in around 3-3 1/2 hours. The newer Toro’s are great machines.
I've always wondered about getting a zero turn. It seems like your sister is having fun with it.
Blooper: Jen: "Adam Hold My Beer"...
I would have thought all zero turns would have arm rests by now. Helps with fine control and driver fatigue
They( somebody) will have to pry my cold dead hands off my Titan max! I absolutely love everything about this machine! Factory specs say 13 psi for all 4 tires but if you reduce it down to 10- 11 psi the ride is 100% smoother. The $7000 BEAST MOWER!
Bigger tires, beefier drive train, commercial always the way to go. I have a series 3000 toro commercial…it’s a beast. Best 10K I ever spent.
Nice machine Adam! You may want to install an inline fuel shutoff knob for that mower. Even with ethanol free or high test, it is good peace of mind to have it shut off at least for the winter months.
That’s a good idea

Thanks for the review/comparison
Have a day
NICE UNIT!
Understandable on going for that ignition switch. There are some crazy you tubes of out of control ZTR's
Bravo sister!!! Well done! 👍🏻
great job, Adam and sis !!!!
Looked like Jen had fun whizzing around the yard! 👍
I think she really enjoyed it
What I tell new ZTR users is to use one hand to control your speed and the other to steer. Go slow until you’re comfortable.
13:26 really convenient how the utility curb box was left sticking up above grade. Hey Adam, does that look like the pond has stopped filling?
Strange how the Max doesn’t come with My Ride. Depending on terrain, this could be the sole deciding factor.
what brand suspension seat kit did you go with? I have a titan max and would like to install a suspension kit but not sure which is best.
Fun to watch her learn a new driving skill. Poor grass need to be allowed to grow taller.
I know alot of people that prefer short grass, even though the grass really doesn't 😆
gosh, from a UK suburban perspective your properties are so huge
she needs to WATER more !!! great looking house / property !!!!
Just cutting to short, leave the grass 2 1/2 to 3 inches after mowing and it will green up without extra watering
Very good review. I have a small lawn and made some of it "meadow" type. It's a shame that lawns are wildlife deserts. But the longer the grass, the more ticks. So what are you gonna do. But happy to see lots of bees and things visiting the wildflowers. All the best !
Adam I would stay with the max , heftier, larger tires ,larger fuel tank.
What is the difference between the 60 inch Titan with myride model 75316 and model 76614? is the 75136 just an older model?
When my wife got on our new zero turn I turned the throttle down till she got use to it .

Mister, why is there no roll bar on the 2024 ?
First thing I noticed...I would keep the max just for the ROPS.
It needs a ROPS. Safety. Use seat belts.
The Titan has HydroGear ZT-2800 transmissions- the MAX has ZT-3100's- The Max is worth the extra moolah just for that!

Keep featherin it brother

I have a floor jack I use to lift the front end of the machine up to change blades
Likewise, I just use a jack. No big deal that way.
I like the new Electric Toro Mowers
I haven’t seen those yet

Is option 3 possible : sell both. Upgrade to the next 2024 commercial Titan Max with seat suspension and roll bar.

Nice but I’ll keep my big Exmark
The lake looks low again. Any updates?
Update coming soon
I’d never buy a zero turn with no ROPS. They are flip happy machines, especially with the slopes you’ve got. I got a Kubota BX for my mowing needs.
Vorrei ricordare che senza la cintura la barra non conta niente a livello di sicurezza. Bel mezzo!
2:50
Is it not possible to first set the lap bar before taking the parking brake off ?
No the engine will shut off
All stories have two sides, lot of conversation regarding ROPS--catch them on a tree limb or a utility guy wire and if you are still upright it won't take you long to fold them down. The new Titan my ride has a 2800 transmission, the Titan Max has 3400s? I believe that’s the biggest difference. Night and day when driving
I would agree with that
Thanks Adam.
If really wanted to cut your mowing time down keep both, the boy is almost mowing age and him running one on the flatter open areas will half your time( i started pushing the mower at 6) ( without any safety features and still have 10 toes).

Should throttle down for your sister when she learns
She’s fine!
U would probably be better off with a commercial mower with as much grass u gotta cut
hahahahaha ... life is hard.
WHAT WHY episode
I have a new Toro battery mower, it sucks, drive wheel falls off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Ahh. Dont like the no rops ...keep my ferris ...
Sell both and get a scag.
Get a gravely better yet
For $10,000 or more? Nice mowers but they’re built for only commercial use not a homeowner.
The new one is just a downgrade.
Both junk….get a scag! Best on market…Turf Tiger! Thank me later
