Rex Heuermann, the New York architect accused of being the Gilgo Beach serial killer, has been linked to two more women whose bodies were found on the Long Island coast, a lawyer for the victims said on Wednesday.
In a press conference with Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison, attorney John Ray unveiled new evidence that he claims connects Heuermann to the deaths of Shannan Gilbert and Karen Vergata.
Gilbert, who lived in Jersey City and worked as an escort, vanished in May 2010 while on her way to meet a client. She was discovered in a marsh near Oak Beach, about half a mile from where she was last seen, in December 2011. The legs and feet of Vergata, who also worked as an escort, were discovered in 1996 on Fire Island, and her skull was found near Gilgo Beach in April 2011.
Ray said that four witnesses came forward with information about Heuermann, including two who signed affidavits.
“He has spent the last 12 years chasing his tail in a desperate attempt to find a person to sue civilly,” Macedonio told The Daily Beast. “He has no basis, in fact. Even his claims today don't match the profile of a serial killer. Serial killers don’t hang out with other people. It doesn’t fit the profile. It’s completely outlandish.”

Mr. Ray never said she, Victoria is a suspekt ! He said she could be normalized by this and a victim of her father....
It is not normal what she was looking at ! It is pervers and brutal.
    Also what she wrote...
    The table book ....
For me there is some truth in it....

Seems ridiculous that Shannon Gilbert was an accident. She was screaming on the phone that people were chasing her and why would you think all of a sudden she just be dead herself from running from them ! somebody was chasing her!

How do you explain the hyloid bone being broken? It only breaks when person is strangled or hung Burke was still covering up that investigation when that medical examiner looked at her case. Makes me wonder you know? She was found face up also. How could she drown that way? And the 911 call it sounded like someone grabbed her when she screamed. She was a sex worker found near the other bodies strangled according to the other examiner. To me it seems similar to the other cases. Just my opinion though. Oh and Rex and Burke partied together on oak beach back in the day. Makes me wonder.

I had a lot of respect for John Ray before this presser. How dare he villianise Heuermanns daughter. Her art is nothing like the art displayed. If you search art sites all sorts of pictures are displayed. It doesnt make you an accomlice to murder. His researchers gave him false information, and shame on him for not checking it out before going public. I have had to seriously re-evaluate my opinion of John Ray.

It definitely sounded like Shannon had a psychosis and was paranoid. It doesn't mean, that she wasn't murderer, but I doubt it. We'll never know.

i don't think Shannon was murdered either... or if she was, I think it would have been the dude who drove her out there did it by accident. for instance, we all know she was freaking out, running around, calling 911. maybe the guy who drove her was actually the one trying to chase her down to get her back to the car to get out of there. she was there for a s*x work job and 911 was on the way so he might have been worried about them being arrested for solicitation or something so he chases her down, she continues her screaming & struggling & he puts his hands over her mouth to try to quiet her or maybe he goes into full blown panic & starts to strangle her to try to get her to quiet down/pass out. it certainly wouldn't have been premeditated but even accidentally killing her, he would leave her there in that swampy area or he hid her body there because he didn't know what else to do. i really don't think that happened but the only logical scenario for murder. the odds of her going out there to spend time with someone else but then having some kind of episode & running into a serial killer are astronomically high. why would RH be outside wandering around late at night out there just on the off chance of encountering a lone woman to attack? that was not his method of operation at all

I don't think her chauffeur killed her either. He sounded too calm in the 911 call and in later interviews. May Shannon rest in peace 💙
