    The 707 horsepower 645 lb-ft of torque AWD Jeep Trackhawk is an insane production vehicle that is incredibly fun to drive and also listen to. If you take anything away from this video, it's that the soundtrack alone is worth the almost six-figure price tag.

    So literally the only negative mentioned is the MPG.

    • @JoeStoutIV
      @JoeStoutIV 4 года назад +18

      Because it's performance rivals most super cars, which makes it the ultimate sleeper, yet at the same time can still do everything almost every other SUV can? Also I live in an area with lots of snow, my current sports car is in storage half the year, but this would let me have my cake and eat it too.

    • @juantabares1538

    • @JoeStoutIV

      @theory816 not that will do 0-60 in 3.5

    • @JoeStoutIV
      @JoeStoutIV 4 года назад +10

      @theory816 Then we should all be driving a Prius on the road because nobody needs a vehicle of any type that can do what this SUV, or whatever "car" you are positive is so much better. As for the track, it depends on what kind of track. There's not much that can beat it on a drag strip.
      But nobody is saying that this is a replacement for all cars, just that it is an amazing vehicle that does a lot of different things better than anyone expects it to.

    • @JoeStoutIV
      @JoeStoutIV 4 года назад +6

      @theory816 Damn, I wrote a book... Anyways, we car argue feasibility of bikes vs cars vs SUVs and it all depends on your environment. Sure if I lived somewhere that a bike made sense I might consider it, and when looking for a new vehicle I've considered all the options, but as I said in my first reply I live where I get lots of snow. So I want something that would be good for both summer and winter. Next where I live easily 50% of the vehicles are big pickups. Add in all the other SUVs and me in my little sports car (that I can only drive in the summer) can barely see around at what's ahead. So yeah, for me an SUV makes the most sense.
      As for the cost, that's up to the person buying it. If I can afford it, then I'll happily buy it and think about all those people who work for FCA that make a good living thanks to people like me who buy their 100k cars.
      Last is it ugly? Meh, it's not the prettiest thing. And if they put this powertrain in the Dodge Durango, I'd buy it instead but since this car checks more of the boxes of what's important to me, then the Trackhawk is at the top of my list.

      How often do you have to fill up? I feel like I would be IN LOVE with this car for a month and then passively start noticing "Wow, I am at the gas station a lot..." and then at some point in Month 2 or 3 actually do the math and realize Gas is as much as a car payment and then cry in horsepower.

    • @cyrilleshkolnik8263
      @cyrilleshkolnik8263 4 года назад +3

      @@rkalla I had 3 srt jeeps before this so I am kind of used to it. Realistically this gets about 2 mpg less than the 6.4. I guess it all depends on how you drive, how much you commute and what you are used to. Another thing that people don't realize, unless they have owned high horse power cars before is the cost of brakes and tires can be SHOCKINGLY HIGH. And comes around about 3x as often when compared to the average Toyota Corolla. But to answer your question, I go through a little over 1 tank of gas per week.

      Don’t buy this vehicle if you know you’re going to cringe when it’s fill up time. Nobody in their right mind should buy this vehicle if they care about mpg’s!
      The only reason I am considering buying this vehicle is because I want something that can tow well. I don’t want a truck because I wouldn’t use the bed enough, which is half of the truck, so getting one would be pointless. An SUV I have always liked better due to its smaller wheelbase, and in the SUV world, there isn’t really anything that can tow very much. This Jeep Trackhawk can tow up to 7,200lbs, which is almost double the amount of anything else. Considering my RZR XP4 Turbo S weighs almost 2000lbs, and the trailer another 1000lbs, thats 3000lbs without gear. Most SUV’s max out at 3000-4000lbs, which is complete junk! I don’t want to be maxed out on towing every time I go on a trip. So the Trackhawk is one of very very few options I have.

      @@JacesOwnWorld I mountain bike like 2-3 times per week, so I wanted something I could easily put all my gear inside and easily do road trips. can fit 2 people easy with a rack and a ton of gear. @freEvo8 the hellcat keep doesn't have cylinder shutoff. The 6.4 srt does. I've had 1 wk1 and 2 wk2 SRTs. The wk2 get a few extra mpg, depends on how you drive it. I now have the hellcat jeep and that gets about 2 less than the 6.4, again depends on how you drive it, but I have a little over 15k on it without resetting the mpg meter. But really it's all in the noise. No need to worry about that, of u do, then you shouldn't buy one!

    I have a 2019 Cherokee Limited, and I despise it. It stalls, among other things. As in you have to shift back into park and re-start the engine kinda stalls, not the auto engine start/stop thing which lets this hunk of junk fake having good mileage. It's under-powered, shifts gears constantly... unless you floor it, in which case it gets confused and doesn't shift at all for a second or two. The systems on the dash display are slow, and frequently don't register icon taps at all. The Air conditioning system is weak, the 'high end' stereo system isn't much better sounding than my old 2012 PT Cruiser, and the damn thing wants me to make an amount on the MOPAR site so I can link my phone to the truck before any of the supposed remote access stuff will work, like turning on the AC before I get in. The voice command systems can't understand a word I say 90% of the time, and so far the only commands it seems to understand at all are telling it what temp to set the AC... usually. About all I like about it is the rearview camera and power rear door.
