Fahrenheit is one of my signatures 🤣 it's the violet leaf/lavender/leather combo that gives it it's distinctive "petrol" note, but you also have to appreciate the 80's and powerhouse colognes that came out the era - Drakkar Noir, Azzaro Pour Homme, Derrick, Halston, Kouros .... these would basically peel paint off the walls because everywhere you went you were competing with cigarette smoke, air pollution, not a lot of A/C in buildings, so they had to be really strong. You didn't really have "aquatics" or "freshies" until the mid to late 90's ... look for some other frags with violet leaf in them and see if they give you the same reaction, you're still young and your preferences will evolve
Both Fahrenheit and joop homme were my starter fragrances as a kid and even to this day, I still feel captivated by them through the nostalgia. I do understand how some people could dislike them though

It can’t possibly be the same formulation, it was so disgusting. Loved your description of it. And Boy Toy? What a disappointment! I wanted to like it so badly but no way. I ended up buying Toy2 which is a citrusy scent that dries down kind of soapy. And do I need to even mention CK1? My daughter has to leave the building when that’s in the house. Very interesting video, thank you! My current favourite is Givenchy Intense Oud❤ I can’t get enough of it but I think it could be classed as mature.

I’ve smelled some fragrances that are 🤢 but people love them. Like the Ariana Grande fragrances. I know most people love them but I think they all smell the same. Like musky cotton candy. Not my vibe but I know they are beloved. Also try not to take some of these negative comments personally. All of people become defensive and project when they feel attacked/hurt/insecure. When cedar and leather mix it is TRICKY. People are fighting over Babycat by YSL and it smells like gas and burning rubber. Both cedar and suede in that one and way over done. Hyped awful fragrance that many love.
