Kobe was supposed to sit until January 2011 he had got surgery in July right before the season started but he wanted to play that shows the passion !
He shouldved
I always wondered if he had waited until January, would he still be playing to this day. 😢🎉❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah that surgery also the reason why he didn't join the world cup team. Anyway, he still played 82 games but his minutes and training were managed in 10-11 season.
@@brandonhayes8364 No. He would not play NBA Basketball in 2024
@brandonhayes8364 LeBron is in year 21 and is damn near on his way out.
Kobe in 2024 would not be playing in what would be his 28th season at 45-46 years old 😂
Prime Kobe. Those two years back to back title wins against Magic and Celtics was all Kobe. I felt he was the best player in NBA during those two years
bUT iT WaS LEbrON
@@m4sterbr0s How so? Lebron lost to both the magic and Celtics in the eastern conference finals. Which are to 2 teams Kobe beat. Mind you his Calvs were the number 1 seed in the eastern conference favored to make it in the finals every year. How could you be the best player with the best team and lose in the playoffs 2 years in a row?
@@thestrengthreport7517 dont care Lebron better
Kobe was still better than LeBron in 2011
@@ArmandoKozomara Nah
Kobe's control in the post is extraordinary. His postup game is a genuine evolution of MJ's repertoire. Never thought I'd see someone carry that torch. It made MJ the One. Kobe cracked the source code, he's Neo 😂
Well said better footwork and left hand and added a 3 ball
Was a Kobe fan from the day King Kobe signed up. As an LA fan we were very lucky to have him. We could be so nonchalant about him at times. When I look back, I just see how GREAT he was and many players today pale against his agility, determination and work ethic. He is the GOAT to me and always will be.
These highlights are amazing really appreciate them
Straight to the point. No silly music, no silly over the top edits, not trying to sell anything. This is the type of channel is subscribe to.
Another injury plagued season, yet still managed to lead his team the least to the second round of the playoffs. No excuses. Unlike the NBA so called modern players who loved to sit out a season because they just don't want to.
Facts brother
...... literally no one sits out when they can make the playoffs wdym
Injury plagued is right. Bad ankle, stiff neck, arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee, bad index finger, etc. Dude was just getting his ass beat while still leading the Lakers to 57 wins again.
Toughest player I know to exist. Mans played through numerous major injuries.
kawhi Leonard and Paul George
Everyone who's watching this highlights all it's real Kobe fan/mamba mentality mood
i think even if kobe wasnt a scorer he'd still be great- his passing was underrated
R.I.P. Kobe Mamba Forever you life and legacy lives ❤️
Kobe just came from three straight NBA finals two of those winning the NBA championship back to back.
Yet somehow he still didn’t miss a step
He wasn't the same Kobe from 02-10 this season. You can tell, even from these highlights, that he should've sat out until January after he got that knee surgery in the summer.
Check out the Kobe from 08-10 and you'll see the difference is night and day.
@ResidentNick yea, his first step was significantly reduced, and just overall, the power jn his legs reduced heavily.
It's why his jumper isn't as consistent or go to the line as much.
But to me in 2011 Kobe was still the best player in the world
@randomperson2540 Agreed. I just finished watching his 2008 highlights, and man, just his movement alone and his ferocity attacking the basket was mesmerizing.
He did regain some of his bounce back the following 2 seasons, but between the lackluster additions to the squad in terms of players and coaching, and being run to the ground, the writing was on the wall. It's a shame that Chris Paul deal fell through because we may have been talking about 6 or possibly 7 chips.
@ResidentNick yea honestly Kobe in that 08 finals wasn't that bad. It's just the Celtics defense being that great.
Kobe tried to be a great playmaker, which he honestly did well, but LA offense just wasn't good enough due to injury inexperience and Pau just getting bullied
@randomperson2540 Honestly, those are just narratives. The reason LA lost in 08 is because they were missing Ariza and Bynum entirely. Ariza would prove to be a formidable 3 and D guy that would've relieved tremendous pressure off of Kobe in terms of guarding the Pierce and Allen duo.
Bynum would've provided interior toughness and rebounding and would've been a big asset in terms of rebounding.
What you saw in 2010, would've occurred in 2008 as well with a non-broken finger Kobe.
The problem with this Laker team compared to the 2010 team is that they had no bench depth. They got rid of Jordan Farmar, Sasha, Ron Turiaf, and BJ Mebenga. Those guys paired with Lamar Odom and Shannon Brown gave the Lakers versatility on the 2nd unit. The 2011 bench was Steve Blake, Matt Barnes, Shannon Brown, Lamar Odom, and Luke Walton. That’s a shitty bench, no wonder why they were giving up 15 point leads. Also steve flake was a downgrade from Jordan Farmer. I don’t know what Mitch Kupcake was thinking. Had the Lakers kept the exact same unit from 2010 they would have beat Dallas. Never break up a team with good chemistry. That’s why Jordan’s Bulls were successful, they kept the same squad together.
Facts
Yes, they got old real quick in 2010-2011 season. Unlike from 2007 to 2010, the youth movement on the 2nd unit supports the 1st unit.
You definitely know basketball I been telling mfs that for years but they don’t listen
You just earned a new subscriber , you deserve more recognition 💯
Kobe was pushing 🅿️ that season despite getting swept by Dallas in the second round of the playoffs.
What pushing p mean lol 🤷🏾♂️
@@bobbyvalentino6773 It's a positive effect he's making.
@@jonathanwilliams0824
U_U hurdd. So when gunna says it he means the same??
Kobe had some pretty bad injuries the entire year. He should have gotten surgeries for them back in 2010(no regrets since they won a championship that year). But then he carried all his injuries with him into the 2010-2011 season as well. And then added some new injuries to that before the 2011 playoffs. He was basically crippled. Also didn’t help that the Laker team lost their chemistry and were getting blown out/dominated by lottery teams consistently.
What Kobe should have done after beating Boston in 2010 is gotten all the surgeries he needed and be willing to miss a portion of the 2010-2011 season. Would have helped him in the long run!
@@MK-kc8ul 💯
No flops i love it
Couldn’t believe he gone so soon and not able even be there physically at his own hall of fame and stuff.
RIP Mamba. Forever an inspiration
Kobe getting close to Air Jordan the Goat only made him stronger ,they were both the Goat.❤
GOAT
Thankssssssss, upload moreeeeeee
He is too good better offensively than Harden, steph,Kd and Lebron
At all
Kobe Bryant 04/05 please
So it’s really true Kobe used to hiss 🐍 for the ball( vs Sacramento)
Kobe and Lakers should 3peat this year
Yeah but alot of age, injury, and inconsistency really derailed them in the long run.
They honestly should have...
@@tyshawn5983they had 3 grooling runs to the finals i could see why Kobe specifically kind of broke down this season , played thru alot of injuries and played alot of minutes , 2013 was the best version of Kobe post championships , shame we didnt get to see him in the playoffs with a healthy team
101:00 on shaq and kobe was bullying peirce omg ❤
Great work, Sir or Madame.
Kobes game was so complex once he figured the nba scene out id say after 2001 or 02. I dont get why guys like tatum nd book dont break their games down to the simple like he did since he was such an influence..? Not saying they should post up nd do turn around fades all the time but simplifying their games like his in post season over side steps and playing outside as much
Thats the majority of book’s shots, I agree with Tatum but not booker, booker only takes like 4 to 5 threes a game while Tatum takes like 9.
Do D12 when he was on the Lakers
07:49 SHOWTIME!!!!!
TKS!
really missed his balling
Do D wade 08-09 season
🔥
them highlights fire but u literally call every season his best season lmao
Como se llama el comentarista?
Kobe didn't need lebron and wade and ray allen on a team to win championships the nba commissioner wouldn't even let chris paul go to the lakes and the trade was already a done deal ppl are so ingredient man its kobe and mj then everyone else i mean i even got curry over LeBron look who carried them to the championship game and who took over in clutch time and hit 4 3s in arrow with less then 3 minutes left in crunch time on the biggest stage in the world 🌎
Do this with Lebron until now please

No, that's clean. No travel
Sad he died. But he is really mystified and overrated at this point. Not a Top-15 player all time in my book.
imo i'd give him top 15 but doesn't crack top 7.
definitely mystified though and hailed as a god
LOL
But I bet yall have shaq in yall top 10 even tho kobe went to finals 3 times straight without shaq and have one more ring then shaq. Yall some straight haters ha
Not having Kobe in your top 15 isn’t even a valid opinion lmao
Bullshit.
