Howdy Joe!! Quick tip on keeping the thermos vat hotter for longer, fill it with boiling water for about 10 minutes while boiling more water to make your brew. That way when you put your tea into it, it will stay hotter for longer!! Big hugs from Kenny in Ohio USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to let you know that I also yell "Cows!" when I see cows as I'm driving along. The lady I carpool with is getting used to it. Love this vlog.
Fantastic video, Joe. I love the way your videos are evolving into something more entertaining and enjoyable. I live in Northern Ireland and we don't have a canal network as such. So I love to watch videos such as yours to enjoy the scenery. Thank you.
I also was going to mention the roof panel and suggest you sacked dad 😂 …… loved that video of you both doing the roof panels! Brilliant video this week! Thank you 😊
Cheers from Australia. Love your style, just asking why do you have to close the gate when you come through, why not leave it open so the next boat can just cruise in ? Thanks
Thanks Ainslie! I believe some are the reasons are to do with water management as some canals are not naturally fed like rivers. Regardless of the technical reasons, it's common etiquette among UK boaters to leave lock gates closed once you are through 😁
Hi Joe. You did make some excellent progress whilst cursing. I see in Ep12 that your beard has been trimmed, and it suits you. Stay safe and keep well.
Never leave a windlass on a paddle spindle unattended, The pressure on them to drop increases as the lock fills and the lack of any maintenance means the ratchet can let go and that then either breaks your arm or the windlass ends up in the water.
Good thing you talked to those fellas what told you about the closed locks. Now, shouldn't the CRT website have said something about them being closed?😊🫢😉

I filled the flask with about four kettles of boiling water, thing was piping hot all day 🤣🤣
Brilliant cruise. So professionally put together. Awesome. Best wishes
Cheers Trevor!
Winter scenery and wildlife, just beautiful 😍
You're going to be a very moist puppy if you get that excited at the sight of cows! ;)
I lived in the countryside all my life before moving to Lincoln for university, cows are cool!!
Just wanted to let you know that I also yell "Cows!" when I see cows as I'm driving along. The lady I carpool with is getting used to it. Love this vlog.
COOOOOOOOWWS!!!!!

Hi Joe another great video. Love to watch you doing so well. Thank you
That shot when you were going through the last lock was great :)
Thanks Serena! Before editing that shot was nearly 10 minutes long 🤣
@@Voyage_of_Lydia well it was well edited and worth it :)
Absolutely enthralling vlog Joe. Your videography and professional narration produce excellent content. I look forward to each weekly episode.
Thanks Ian!! I do my best 😊

I think blame should be split equally 🤣🤣
Cows! ADHD there Joe? 🙃 Another good one. Thanks.
Maybe a little bit! I just think they’re cool!
A 22 year old me envies you young man. But the 55 year old me admires you young man.
Love your video work
Thanks Nadine!
I was ducking my head for you going under some of those low bridges! Can't beat a cup of tea whilst on the go 😊.
Believe me it was close on some of them!

Thankyou, ok. Enjoy, very jealous, an idealist lifestyle .@@Voyage_of_Lydia

Cursing and cruising go hand in hand I suppose! I was in dire need of that trim too1
@@Voyage_of_Lydia keep safe and well handsome
The Standedge Tunnel is the longest, deepest and highest.

I hadn’t thought about that, duly noted! Cheers mate!
Hey Joe, a question about your camera/phone setting? Your video seems awfully light, and washed out. Not much color and very monochromatic.
That's called Britain in winter, not much in the way of colour at the moment, springtime soon tho.
@@susanb4481 I think my camera settings were a little off, I was still getting used to my new phone at this point haha
Is it an optical illusion or has one of your new roof panels inside come adrift?
Loving the videos by the way.
Correct, but its all fixed now. More sticky stuff used.
Love your vlogs Joe, but please turn the music down we can't hear what you are saying. Cheers 😂
Duly noted Carol, thank you!

I did check the website upon returning from my fuel run, and sure enough the closure was there! A lesson for the future!
