    As a first time crocheter finding other videos too complicated i found this video easy to follow along with and memorize to do it in the future. But i did use a size 4 yarn (instead of a size 5) with a 6.5mm hook and it turned out just as pretty. Amazing job!!

  • @mpierce1610
    @mpierce1610 2 года назад +3

    I made these while quarantined for four days. I could not stop making them!!! I made 5 in quick succession! I used Big Twist Natural Blend, and K+C alpaca. Both are a size 6 yarn, so I went up to a 8mm hook. I did an initial chain of 57 with 7 rows each.
    The tip to make the starting chain fairly tight was a very helpful! Usually I go up a hook size for starting chains, but that was not necessary with this project.

My first one turned out too small but worked out as the person I’m making it for has a daughter so this gift has now turned into a matching mommy- daughter moment! I am. having such a hard time trying to pull my hook through. I have the right kind of yarn and hook. my tension appears to be perfect. Not tight and not too loose. Can you help?
