Animation Demo Reel: LEGO Monkie Kid Seasons 1 and 2

I served as a Senior Rough 2D Animator on Seasons 1 and 2 of LEGO "Monkie Kid" for Flying Bark. Here are a few of my shots that I did rough animation for.

Woah it truly amazing how much work is put into fluid animation such this- especially in this show and Rottmnt.....the animation is always so smooth and consistent throughout each episode...and its great to see the progress in which it was made

I really have no idea myself! Often times, music is slotted in early on in production in order to find a certain feel for a scene. My files would have those early drafts with temp music and sound effects. It would all be replaced later in production with the final original soundtrack and effects.

@@FrankSummersAnimation huh! that's super interesting! reminds me of when the boards (i believe) for a scene from amphibia were shown off an it had music from a show i loved, gurren lagann :O it's super cool seeing other movie/show's soundtracks included in early versions of another show

What frame rate is used for monkie kid? The animation is so nice.

It was done at 24fps, but the exposures are done on 1s, 2,s, or 3s as the scene required.
