Qur'an chapter fifty one titled "winds" ,verses two, three and four refer to surface winds first, then the jet stream, and ties the two with distribution, in the following verse. I thought that was amazing.

This begins with a completely incorrect statement - the equator and pole differ in distance from the sun by around 1 in10000 - negligible. So no a factor in the difference in insolation. I didn't get beyond that as I guess it probably all as bad.
