"How do you beat this game, kill Jason?" Yes. Three times actually. Reduce his life to 0 and he's said to come back stronger (in his case, faster). Do it again and he comes back even faster. If you manage to do it a third time, you win. But, between bad controls, bad weapons, an incredibly awkward map, the fact that most of the counsellors you get to play are useless (basically, use Mark, and Crissy, and the rest really aren't worth using, and Mark's probably the best because he's the fastest and has the best jump and rowing speed), and that it's not clear what you have to do at all means well, yeah, it's about as easy as killing Jason in one of his other pieces of fiction is. Basically, the best way to do it is 1) Select Mark or Crissy, 2) Go around the cabins to light all the fireplaces, which gives you the Torch weapon, 3) Figure out the game enough to track down Jason and kill him with the torch three times, as it is one of the two strongest weapons you can use against him and much easier to get. The problem is, if you accidentally touch another weapon while you have the Torch, it's gone, so, yeah, have fun. It's best to fight Jason 'outside' as his attacks are easier to dodge if you know what you're doing, rather than 'inside', where he rapidly gets far too fast for you to effectively avoid his attacks unless you have lightning reflexes. Trying to play the game 'normally' makes it harder. Every counsellor starts with stones, and knives appear shortly after killing a few zombies with stones, and you can potentially get a machete (kill 60 zombies, or find it in certain places where it might randomly spawn) or an axe (also randomly appears in certain places). You can also potentially get the machete/axe/torch if you go into the cave and find "Pamela Voorhees" (or rather her floating dead head): each 'day' if you kill her she drops something (Day 1 is when the game starts, Day 2 is if you beat Jason once, Day 3 if you beat him twice): Day 1 is a weapon that changes based on what weapon you used to kill her with, Day 2 has her drop her 'sweater', which reduces the damage the character who has it takes by half, and Day 3, where she's IMMENSELY hard to beat because of how fast she is, she drops the Pitchfork, the strongest weapon in the game and tied with the Torch for the weapon that does the most damage to Jason. Seriously, there's an interesting game buried under the pile of badly executed concepts that was the finished product. Sigh.

I'm glad you mentioned the torch weapon because after he got the machete I was thinking that there was another one but I couldn't remember what it is.
