Thanks for the video and I have a question to ask. As we all know there are many screeners to search for moving average cross overs but they all use DAILY MOVING AVERAGES. Let's say I would like to find stocks that their 20 week moving averages just crossed over their 40 weeks moving averages. Since I only can use daily moving averages to search, my question is what would be the equivalent daily moving average numbers to use that as a result I find stocks showing the 20/40 cross overs on their weekly charts. I hope this question is clear enough. Any comments welcome!

Hello, is there a code for the smooth Heikin ashi you use . I found one on the Internet and was able to upload it on to my think or swim platform but it doesn’t do the like the one I saw on the video it’s just a one bar graph smoothed.

Thanks for this video! If you prefer Heiken-Ashi candles, like I do, TradingView has a setting to show the actual prices while using Heiken-Ashi candles. With Heiken-Ashi candles selected go to Settings, then Symbol, and you should see a checkbox labeled "Show real prices on price scale (instead of Heiken-Ashi price). Seems to work well.

I really like your content... but it's very difficult in forward testing.. because your videos are on a complete chart when you explain a strategy... the greatest value for us will be in sort of forward testing... also I'm sure you pick 1 or 2 or 3 strategies only in your live trading... now I'm confused with all the strategies... one more humble request from you is to give us best 3 and worst 3 strategies from the content you provided over the years... You are right, I am using only a few strategies, but what works for me may not work for you. That's why every week I'm uploading different trading concepts. I trade using pivots and divergences 90% of time, but you may prefer Renko charts or breakouts.

Hi, what is this indicator usually used for in terms of time frames? How would one Match up the settings you mentioned (5-10-20-50-100) to the time frame we are viewing (ie. 1min, 5min, 1 hour, 2 hours, 1 day)

Hi, as always I value your explanations and point of view very much. I've just started using the smoothed HA candles on top of my candlesticks. So I was roaming RUclips for more educational content. I saw the strategy of 2 HA indis , a fast and slow one, and the crossover made sense to me for day and swingtrading on a 4H chart. But you are saying that it's a bad idea. Can you explain why ? on your video the crossovers if traded would have made a very decent profit. Looking forward to your reply. kind regards Erdinç

I don't think so. Use Tradingview for your analysis.

Great video but I’m curious about the best way to handle trading with Heiken Ashi when it comes to day trading? What time frame works the best and my biggest struggle is when the market opens. I only play options and they always seem to turn on me fast. Any tips?

Similar, but not the same. You can visualise trends better with S.HA.
I also prefer the smoothed ha for assessing trend strength.

I thought the same here... However, this indicator can send you a green/red signal for entering or finishing a position without comparing with other periods SMA's. I've learned to enjoy Heiken Ashi, but still think that a high smoother multiplier can make it just a SMA

I have found a public script like this to set alert, you can search for "Modified Smoothed Heiken Ashi" in tradigvew script search.

I think this is anti-Heikin Ashi. The benefits of the original Heikin Ashi hides the distracting details of the original candlestick. When we cannot let go of the original candlestick, it is like we don't trust the Heikin Ashi.
This smoothed Heikin Ashi is reduced to look just like a SMA/EMA painted by a brush with varying thickness. I might as well use a simple SMA/EMA.
How to get the smoothed Heiken Ashi? It is not available on the Basic version of Tradingview. Thanks

According to my understanding, Smoothed Heiken Ashi could filter many noising such as fake breakouts which are used to trigger stopping less of retail traders, but MA could don't this filter works well.
The concept of Heiken Ashi open and Heiken Ashi close is similar to the idea of barycenter in physics.
