As a stylist myself my first thought was that I REALLY hope that girl tipped the stylist that made her hair perfection extremely well. That stylist damn well deserved it!!
With the amount of hair I have and with how thick it is anytime I go to a salon I tip $50 more if it’s a bleach or color , I doubt she planned on it with the attitude she was throwing
She's upset she "had to" *SIT* in a chair for 7.5 hours..... While her hairdresser had to deal with her "not so bad" absolute disaster of a hair situation for *7.5 HOURS!!!!* 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤪
Journey of love light Awakening 6 yuppp lol she literally dyed it back using box dye I believe then bleached it again, dyed it green, killed her ends and now it’s black again
Yeah she does saying how she paid and no plus tip. I had long hair like that well it was longer so I tip the lady really well only to go home and find out it was unlevel by 6 inches and I kept thinking I was so nice to her, sat still while she brushed my hair of the top to the bottom and I didn't say anything thing. I never even complain to the salon or anything. But when people see my sister wedding photos I would say where I went and who the stylist was to save them the heartache.
Because she didn't us Quick Blue bleach 😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣 I will get bleach box for hair then get a close person help me put on.. YEAAA 2 MY FEMALE CUSIN ARE IN SALON SCHOOL..
Why can’t people just do it right?? It’s not that difficult. They miss huge pieces and are surprised that there are huge pieces of hair not bleached. 2+2= ?? Come on now.
It's hard as hell to get the back of your own head. But the fact that people don't realize that ahead of time and think they'll be able to flawlessly cover everything by slopping the bleach/color on by the he handful...just why.
@@shelbyb9965 And that's what sectioning is for. xD I dye my own hair even cut it on my own and I first comb it through and section it while also putting up mirror's so I can easily see the back of my head. So yeah sectioning is key and a mirror set up (can be done with small mirror's/hand held ones as well) so really she was doomed to fail from the start because she didn't follow the instructions and to be honest came over as arrogant because of that. (The "I'm not gonna do that ", " I can't see what I'm doing" and the "who has time for that" came over as arrogant to me)
I like this one, because she went through the experience, learned her lesson, admitted and advised, and at the end she got a good result that she liked
Her hair came out beautiful. The stylist did a fantastic job. Way back years ago when I first got married in 1988 we could not afford for me to go to a salon to get my hair done and I’ve always liked to have highlights in the summer. There used to be a beauty/barber school where we lived and you could go there and the students would do your hair for their credits for a fraction of the cost of a regular salon. You were kind of taking a risk, but I never had my hair messed up. They always did such a great job. That’s always an option. I believe they still do that.
I've gone to a cosmetology school like that a few times over the last several years, when I didn't have the money for my regular hairdresser. They had faculty supervision that would come check what they did. It's a great option!
Dear Hair Buddha. These younger women Crack me up. I am 61 and I did salon platinum for a year at 300 a pop. 7 hours. I couldn’t keep that up due to cost and even salon platinum will kill your hair, especially if you pay for olaplex and they don't use it. DIY brunette was great for a year but realized it was too dark and grays appeared white. Needing to do a light brown, I researched at home bleach, your theory video was phenomenal. My light reddish brown was huge success. Thank you, you are the greatest
I am so happy that I've FINALLY found someone professional who says that long hair are beautiful and takes effort. I am tired of hairdressers and other specialists (yt or not) saying that all long hair should be chopped and it looks bad (even if healthy). Some years ago I was in hair salon and want 10 cm cut, but recieved more than 35 cm cut. And hairdresser after seeing my traumatized expression said that waist length hair = childish and that it better how she cut it ._. Would love to her ask me first to not wait extra 2 years. Nice vid~
Wow! Did she get away with that!? Idk where you're from but here it's normal to have long hair and saloon's will follow your words to a T and even if it's a bad idea they'll try to explain why it's bad and if you're really stubborn they'll make it very clear that they can't be held accountable for your decisions. But yeah they follow your word to a T if you say 10 cm 10 cm it is if you want 1 cm bangs in neon pink with the rest of your hair being muddy dark green with purple spots and every few plucks of hair being cut to 5 cm length then so be it. So I hope she didn't get away with that because that's just cruel to do!! It's not her place to tell you what looks better and to not follow your words you don't pay her to do that you pay her to follow your exact words.
I am so sorry that happened to you. I have long hair that goes to my butt. I went to a hairstylist to ask for a trim and got an uneven haircut that went up to my shoulders. Just like you, I was traumatized. I agree that it's nice to hear a hairstylist say there is nothing wrong with long hair. Some people do not understand that long hair is part of some religions.
Sounds nearly impossible for me. If that really happened that is proof that this salon is a) unprofessional and b) not able to admit that they lack knowledge and ideas concerning long hair.
@@torkakarshiro5170 Well, it did happen. I have pictures to prove it, along with other documentation. I wouldn't say the salon was unprofessional or did know what they were doing, but that particular hairdresser did. I went to the salon for years and never had an issue until that day. I did modeling, and many of the clients I had booked me because of my long hair. When they found out my hair was short, I was dropped from many of the gigs I had out of work because of that hairdresser. I was smart and asked those clients if they could explain why I was dropped in writing, which they did. Which laid grounds for a lawsuit and even told their manager that I was thinking about it, so don't be surprised when they got a summons. The worst part is I wasn't the only one. The hairdresser did the same thing to another person with long hair. I personally believe her license should have been revoked, and she should have to back to school for what occurred.
Unless ur hair is super short, hair colors commonly run about $150-200. Corrective colors start around $250 or higher, since it takes more time to fix all the patches they missed at home. With this girl having so much hair, it’s no surprise that she suffered the length charge.
Dang, I have super short hair and my bleach and dyes have always cost over $200. But I went to an Aveda salon, so maybe they jack the prices up for their products.
I think the reason why her hair was so expensive was because they had to fix it and because of how long her hair was. You can definitely get it much cheaper than that.
Vivien Dunn I’m a hairdresser..this is considered corrective color which is usually charged by the hour. Had she came in and let her do it from the beginning it probably would have been much less time and money. Given the length and the amount of product she used to fix it that’s about average for a correction job. Kudos to melissa for fixing her! She did amazing. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
It would have been a lot cheaper for her to just get it done in the first place. I charge $100 per hour for color correction, so her being in the salon for almost 8 hours would have cost her $800.
I know this is old, but I have the same length of hair as she does and my hair dressers charges me about 150 to 200 for a simple dye job. Granted it goes up depending on what I want done but for just the color and nothing special, it's really not as expensive as one would think. But it's also up to the hairdresser, and mine owns her salon and gives me free stuff, in fact right before my birthday she gave me a small bottle of real argon oil, but it has lasted me a long time as you only need a little bit.
I love when you say tic toc 😀👍🏻 I am from Norway so i am use to the accent most Europeans have when speaking English.. but you have such a “ happy accent “ 😀 I love how you explain what people do wrong!! Why they ends up with the worst case of hair fails ever 😂 thank you 😊
Seriously.... The discount was definitely $100 though. She did the math totally wrong. She added 15% of $568, which is $85 but the 15% discount was from the original price. $668 - 15% = $568 She got a $100 discount from the girl who spent 7 hours fixing her disaster and she's still complaining! And you just KNOW she didn't tip her stylist. All that discount would have done for me is cover the tip. I still would have paid at least the original price because I tip at least 15%.
I've never dyed or bleached my hair. My mother and her friend dyed their hair one summer. T's blonde hair turned green. Mom's already bleached African-American hair went from blonde to red-green-gold-orange. Best summer laugh ever!
All blondes can have green hair in the pool, I have natural blonde hair and I went to my cousins pool, once I took a shower my hair started turning vomit green! Luckily my mom was able to take it out with ketchup and purple shampoo, and it came out more golden than it did before
I never thought that sectioning was so important and I was always colouring my hair without doing it so. A few colouring back, after listening to your tips I started doing sections...oh my word-what a different result !!! Thank you Hair Buddha 🌷
I am 50 years old now and my hair is changing. It’s not shiny and soft anymore, that’s what happens as we age. Her hair before is absolutely gorgeous. She should have spent the money on going to a salon and had it done right the first time.
I agree, if you have taken the time to grow out your hair that long and maintain that then you would think you would invest in getting your hair bleached correctly by a professional the first time. Would have been cheaper in the long run.
@@kudzu_ Thanks DJ! Ur right. That’s the norm since older people usually have short, thin hair… duh! 😬 However theI’ve seen some 60+ women with thick long hair. Hopefully I’ll be that exception!
I had medium length hair and got my full head bleached and toned(virgin hair. Only the tips(2inchs) where bleached to about a level 7) and it cost me 400usd, salons are very expensive where I live
I live in Finland and the average here is 150-170 € for a big hair change. Last time I got babylights, color + bobcut, 4 hours 170€. The hairdresser working alone did an amazing job, very professional and my hair came out natural and elegant.
Just my two cents here... She probably craves attention and knew she had the money to get this sorted to piss the internet off... by complaining so naively at the end. She knew what she was doing. Swear down, gen z do mad things like this on tik tok and youtube
Agreed. This felt very contrived. She seemed more annoyed by the price (as in she got a long suffering sigh from parents) but she didn't have that "I'm so panicked and guilty I'm going to vomit" look that most people get when surprised with a $600 payment, especially on your hair!
Does she look like she drives a luxury car? I mean come on! She needed a change, failed at DIY, but was smart enough to look for professional help before it was too late.
Oi! don't drag the whole generation into this I'm a gen Z who dye's my own hair in funky colours and patterns and I can follow directions (unlike her because when dying/bleaching hair sectioning and a mirror set up is key). So really it's attention seeking people like her not a whole generation because gen Alpha does stupid stuff as well like eating tide pods or killing someone etc etc and millennials do stupid attention seeking stuff as well such as being woke and using their kids for clout by putting them in danger or by ruining school property, Boomer's do stupid stuff as well usually involving hating/bashing their spouse. XD so really it's not the generation it's just the type of person.
@@voiddevourer4355 You say not to drag a whole generation and that it’s not the generation but the type of people… but then you proceed to drag several generations and stereotyping them based on individual people’s stupidity. It doesn’t make sense.
Before I started to dye my hair at home... I went to a mid range priced salon and cut, blow dry and dye was $180. I then found someone who had a small salon that my friends raved about. She was so talented and the same services cost me $45. So.. my suggestion to anyone who wants a great hair experience...do your research. You never know who's out there and doesn't break the bank with fees!! 💇🏻
its like they are all aiming to fail . seriously . yhe goal is to ruin the hair , if you dont section , think and plan 100% , dont do it sis .. you can't be shocked when you get bad results , cause you didnt do it right from the beginning . just go to a hair stylist and spare your hair the misery .
She probably craves attention and knew she had the money to get this sorted to piss the internet off... gen z do mad things like this on tik tok and youtube
This girl had the confidence of someone who has not experienced any hair fail before, i felt like this experience did not cause any humility, or appreciation of the work of the professionals and she didn't seem to take advantage of the learning experience. How do people hold that confidence in the face of reality? I would at least be humbled and im not even getting the vibes that she's grateful for all the hair surviving?!?!?!?! Unreal😮
Since you first starting doing videos using the English language I've been dubbed to you if just be about 3 yrs now..I.give you a 👍👍on every video too..you are one channel that truly deserves a lot more recognition..a very lovely man who gives excellent advice indeed ! 😊👍xx
make sections make sections make sections make sections make sections make sections make sections 😂 Poor Buddha, it must be hard for you to watch 😂 PS I need a t-shirt full of "make sections" text on it😂😂
I get my hair colored and cut in San Antonio, TX about every 8 weeks for around $160. My girl does a beautiful job and I’ve been going to her for 5 years because of it.
I live in Canada and there are many hair salons that are very expensive and they do a terrible job... if you talk to people and find a decent hair stylist, you can get a cut and colour for a decent price. I’ve paid $300 for patchy highlights and a basic trim... I’ve also paid $85 for a beautiful full head of highlights and an amazing cut. I think the trick is to find a hairstylist that doesn’t work in a franchise, there prices are generally higher.
I live in Brazil, and I can tell you that a good hairdresser is expensive in here (600 dollar/3000 reais is expected If someone like her want to bleach the hair if you are going to a very good studio; but she would never pay less than 200 dollars/1000 reais even in a ok place). I had a professor once that got his wife in a good place (the place she went before destroyed her hair) hoping they could helped her. They did, and it costed 1000 dollars/5000 reais, and she had a medium length hair (and yes, her hair was glorious after all the treatment they made). The problem is that sometimes it's not a garante that you will pay and get a good result, and sometime ago there was a lot of complain about places using bad products while saying they use high brand. They bought the good one one time and reused the container). That's why a lot people nowadays do it in their houses (if you messed it up, at least you didn't pay that much, and you have the certain that you are using good products).
I'm also in Canada and have the exact opposite opinion. Franchises are always super cheap. Like...$20 for a haircut cheap. They also usually suck. You might find a hidden gem in one, but they're usually newer and getting experience before they go out on their own. Always do your research...check their portfolio, ask for recommendations. If you have curly hair, super fine hair, African hair, etc...find someone who is knowledgeable in your hair texture. If you want a lot of colour work, it's going to cost more. At least, it should if it's done well. Of course, there are crappy stylists everywhere! Hence, research.
The opposite is true. A franchise as a business will have lower taxes and can offer benefits to their employees. They get their product wholesale. They have one mortgage and utility bill. Overall, their overhead cost is less, so they can charge less. A smaller salon owner doesn't have employees, rather they rent their stations. So they charge a lot, so they can still cover their overhead even if not all stations are rented at one time. Stylists are independent contractors. They have to pay rent for the station, taxes, savings plus their fees, and expensive independent health care all out of their hourly charge. Take home is only a tiny portion of the charge. If an independent stylist is cheap, they're cutting themselves short, or maybe are married to someone who has family health and savings benefits. Honest, it just hurts independent contractors who CAN'T rely on someone else's benefits. Hairdressers aren't expensive; there just happen to be cheap ones out there. Can't set everyone to the cheap standard!
You can always buy the products and pay per hour a hairdresser to do it at your home. No taxes, no rent, you get to keep the rest of the products for next time, the hairdresser will make as much money as they get for their whole day shift just from 1 client. And it'll cost way less than paying a salon. I always do that, it benefits all of us, no middle man taking money just because. All for the products and the professional.
I'm binge watching your videos since I found them earlier this week, I love how kind and informative you are, even when reacting to someone who is being careless. It's such good energy on your channel, thank you ✌️❤️
Also, do you have any advice for a natural redhead who wants to bleach just a 'money piece' in the front of their hair? I know natural red hair is different to other colours when it comes to colouring. I can't go to a salon because I am disabled.
You and my current hairdresser are the people I reach out for hair advice! I changed many hairstylists through the years, a lot of them destroyed my hair with bleach, now I am on the recovery road and your videos are amazing!!
Good luck with your hair journey, I highly recommend Olaplex if you can afford any of their products 💕 I use the shampoo as it doesn’t cost too much and lasts a while
@@steph.d3681 thank you! I know about olaplex, I think I had therapy once with those products. What sucks is I had waist length hair that I stupidly dyed black so when my previous hairdressers tried to lighten them I lost a LOT of length, from waist length to neck length. They even burned my hair up to the crown. When my current hairdresser, who is a friend of mine, saw this mess she offered to help me. Now I have no damaged hair and they gradually grow longer. ❤️
Ugh I just found your channel and as a german hairstylist I find it kind of satisfying that you just say the perfekt things the hair needs. Now I am watching all your Videos in one session! My hairy sould really needs this ❤️
I actually spent about 2.5 months trying to lighten my hair from a dark brown black to light blonde. Somehow I still have alot of hair. The last color i put in it was a dark rose gold which faded into the perfect shade of blonde for me. The beginning of August was the last time i put any color in my hair. I opted myself into taking a vow not being allowed to dye my hair until October 1st
My goodness...when she slaps that first brush of bleach just straight to the root - *gasps out loud!!!! Yikes....And then..... it got much worse 🤦♀️ (Budda - I’m living for you saying scalp ❤️)
She’s a beautiful young woman who looks great with her darker hair. It shows her pretty eyes much better than the blonde hair. She was nuts to color her nice long hair, let alone do it herself at home. She’s lucky it didn’t break off. I don’t think she’s nasty like others are saying on here. She’s young...and maybe not too bright! Oh, my first time on your channel, Buddha, and I’m loving you! Thanks for this.
They charge by the length of your hair, if your hair is above your shoulders and get it bleached and coloured it would be close to $200 with a cut (Canada)
You really can't generalise like that. I'm in Canada too and I pay close to $200 for what you see in my photo here. Half of my head is buzzed, the rest is only a few inches long. Bleach first, then foils for colour..so double process. Takes about 4 hours. It isn't just about length, but also what you're having done. If you have super long hair, but you're just getting a basic cut you can find that for less than $40. If I was to just get my hair cut in this style (no colour)? That would still cost me at least $50 because it is a more detailed cut.
In Canada also and professionals charge by the hour here for colour. Mine is $85/hour, so 3-4 hours to lighten hair gets costly. Luckily my stylist will include a cut and style with this, which is lovely. But prices vary just as much by city here in Canada as they do by country. Getting hair done in Toronto is a lot cheaper than in say Edmonton, because there are a lot more stylists and it's a lot more competitive. Population density matters folks.
You are the 1st you tube channel that I have ever bothered to click on the bell icon. (I am already subscribed). I hope for you to reach 100,000 subs soon and get that silver button. Best of luck!!
If she can box bleach her hair 5x and have it not fall out, then that makes me confident that I can bleach my roots once and not come out bald. Love you hair Buddha! 🤍
To answer the question on pricing in the U.S. vs other countries, yes it’s expensive. I took my daughter to the salon to have a keratin done her hair was medium length. It cost me $270. No color and no hair cut only keratin and blow dry. Went to South Korea and I had something similar to keratin, blow dry and a hair cut and mine was 65000 won ( that’s around $60USD) and my hair was a lot longer than my daughter’s.
Why are you so bad with money? You didn’t ask what the price would be? Lmao it’s not the salons fault it’s yours there’s tons of affordable treatments if you look for them
@@M4sp74 because if a cheap salon is many miles away gas prices will account for it. If you end up paying 60 dollars just for the gas, better go near and pay for the salon.
I just wanted to tell you how amazed I am about your progress on English in just a year! Your videos have always been so informative and funny, but you look much more comfortable now. I find the sectioning part so difficult, to be honest. I used a color mask (non permanent) and it was a pain. But I knew that I just wanted to try the red before going to the salon. Just today I became officially a redhead and I am obsessed. My hairdresser wants to take his time with everything (he was washing my hair for 42' 😅) but my hair looks so gorgeous. I would never ever try to make anything on my hair on my own. Or with a friend "helping".
Hey I'm belgian but I currently live in Canada. I got highlights last week and it cost me almost 400$. For a full bleach, it would have been 600$ and I couldn't afford it. In Belgium, I used to pay 100$. It's definitely much more expensive here in north america.
It's £150 for bleach root touch ups and toner at a salon I know in Manchester UK....and just under £400 for a colour correction and toner if you've made a total cock-up (if there's any hair left to correct)....so really best not mess it up in the first place....there are amazing hairdressers but they can't work miracles on totally wrecked hair. Thank you SO much for always commenting on these hair fails, I'm sure you've saved many heads! Xx
My hair is very long, right above my butt. I go to a boujie salon. The girl is a color specialist & also happens to be my daughters best friend. She bleaches my hair for $175.00, and it usually takes her right at 2 1/2 hours each time. Of course I never tip her less than $50 so that's $225.00 every 3-4 months.
As someone who does my hair at home I am blown away at how little this girl tries. If you're gonna spend all the money on dye, do it right...and get help . Omg
I've only ever box dyed, but I only ever use a blonde dye to put highlights in my light brown hair. I had failure twice with an at home balayage kit but after watching your videos I see how tricky it is to do it yourself! So the last failure was this summer, I ended up with skunk like streaks. So I got demi permanent dye to make my hair a little darker with reddish tones. I knew enough that you have to bleach to get lighter, but didnt realize all the mechanics and knowledge involved to do more and make it all look so fabulous. I have newfound respect for hairstylists and will def go there if I ever want a drastic change. Thank you for your channel and sharing all your knowledge with us!
to all the people complaining about the $500 salon visit. As a Hairstylist I can tell you that the cost of product ALONE would be AT LEAST $200 if not more. She definitely had to get it bleached AND toned. $568 - AT LEAST $200 in product = $368 for 7.5 hours. $368/7.5 hours= $49/hour Even then, not all the money goes to the stylist. If she's lucky she will get 60% plus a tip. MAXIMUM she made was $220 for almost 8 hours of work. Less than $30/hour, and this lady doesn't look like the kind to tip well. Hairstylists are SKILLED laborers, we go to cosmetology school for months or years and work to get better every day and deal with shitty and annoying clients that don't value us at all. OBVIOUSLY the average person cannot do what a hairstylist can do, or else this youtube channel wouldn't exist. We charge for the product we use, the knowledge we have, the skills we have, and the time we give you.
I remember being that confident, and not realizing how much hair I have! It may have been expensive, and I know fixing mine was WAY more than $700. Thank goodness you didn’t damage it and it’s absolutely gorgeous! It suits you very, very well!❤
@@sarahlouise7163 No. The colour job is gorgeous. She just shouldn't have that colour. It doesn't look good ON HER but it is well done. Especially when one considers the shit show she started with. Colour correction is difficult.
Something to remember, some people pay a lot of money to have your hair color. I am sure you rock that color too. But for this person that the host is critiquing, it was not her cup of tea, and she definitely did not have the confidence to rock it like you do.
I used to bleach and die my own hair when I was young. Made all the stupid mistakes, just like so many of these young girls I see in fail vids. Walked around with awful hair for years. Now, at the age of 40, I finally figured out that it's just all around better to go to the salon. I'm lucky to have a long time friend who is a pro hair colorist. Still costs me 300$ every time, but it's worth ever penny. Hair Budda is awesome!
In CA, a simple haircut from someone with a couple years experience is $65. I’ve had several hack jobs at that price (people that went to a respected school with 3+ years experience in a salon), so I usually pay $85+ which gets you someone who is up to date with current styles and cutting techniques.
Hair grows around 6 inches per year, give or take. I've stopped bleaching or using box color on my hair for lots of reasons, including I just really don't like the smell. I do use direct dyes, which I will probably use more as I get older and have more grey... Currently I use neon pink, and it turns my medium dark brown hair a bit deeper and a bit more complex z and it makes my bright silver greys into a metallic pink. It makes me super happy, and does no damage- I love it!!
Same in Spain, there is a difference between cities. More expensive in Barcelona or Madrid, but normally a hair dye should not cost more than 60-70-80€, as well as very good quality, good professionals, like so many other things in fashion, the aesthetic taste is much better here than in America, Canada, Australia, sometimes England...
I’m American, my mom retired and wanted to stop coloring her hair red so she went to a salon to go gray. We needed a color correction specialist. Her hair was above shoulder length and it still cost $500!
I never thought about the age of my hair and the times of brushes, washes and so on it has to go through. I now deeply respect my own hair for beeing so patient with me every day 😅
Getting your hair done in America is SOOO expensive!! It’s hundreds of dollars every time if you go to a place that won’t destroy your hair. I’ve been to the highest rated salons in my city and even they have messed up my hair and it was $350 before tip!
It is expensive for a color correction for hair that long. Had she had it done by the professional from the beginning it probably wouldn’t have even been half that price. The correction is where it gets expensive..

Her hair is amazing. She is lucky that it didn't all break off.
Because she didn't us Quick Blue bleach 😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣
I will get bleach box for hair then get a close person help me put on.. YEAAA 2 MY FEMALE CUSIN ARE IN SALON SCHOOL..
Damn whoever fixed her hair is a hairdresser GODDESS
Why can’t people just do it right??
It’s not that difficult. They miss huge pieces and are surprised that there are huge pieces of hair not bleached.
2+2= ?? Come on now.
Cause their not professionals! And you go to school for your license and you get taught precision. Which common folks lack off.
It's hard as hell to get the back of your own head. But the fact that people don't realize that ahead of time and think they'll be able to flawlessly cover everything by slopping the bleach/color on by the he handful...just why.
She proved later in the video she can't do math, so it checks out.
Yes, that's still a thing! Some of the students are very talented!
I love how polite and savage you are!
Oh my god I almost spit my coffee out when you yelled FINE SECTIONS

Me too!!!

She seemed quite smug at the start honestly. Messing her hair up was kind of enjoyable to watch.
You’re that sick kind of psycho like me 😂 I dont feel alone

I am so happy that I've FINALLY found someone professional who says that long hair are beautiful and takes effort.
I am tired of hairdressers and other specialists (yt or not) saying that all long hair should be chopped and it looks bad (even if healthy).
Some years ago I was in hair salon and want 10 cm cut, but recieved more than 35 cm cut. And hairdresser after seeing my traumatized expression said that waist length hair = childish and that it better how she cut it ._. Would love to her ask me first to not wait extra 2 years.
Nice vid~
thx for watching
I have long thick hair and to get it done professionally is $600
@@nathanhaimsonshe got a bargain for being a color correction plus her hair is so long . I’m surprised it didn’t cost her more .
I think the reason why her hair was so expensive was because they had to fix it and because of how long her hair was. You can definitely get it much cheaper than that.
Definitely the length and process
Definitely and depending on which state and city she lives in as well
Vivien Dunn I’m a hairdresser..this is considered corrective color which is usually charged by the hour.
Sorry, but I feel so smart when I watch these videos.
I do, too. I love it when he tears know-it-alls a new ass.
Bleached Bev: “Who has time for that??”
Hair Buddha: “A hairdresser has time for that 👁👄👁”
I love when you say tic toc 😀👍🏻 I am from Norway so i am use to the accent most Europeans have when speaking English.. but you have such a “ happy accent “ 😀 I love how you explain what people do wrong!! Why they ends up with the worst case of hair fails ever 😂 thank you 😊
Thanks ♥️
True. I love it too his „TicTok“. I had to look where Hair Buddha is coming from because I couldn‘t locate the accent.
Works on your hair very long hair for 7 hours, takes off $85 and it takes you 5 minutes to remember the name of the stylist 😂
Seriously....
The discount was definitely $100 though. She did the math totally wrong. She added 15% of $568, which is $85 but the 15% discount was from the original price.
$668 - 15% = $568
She got a $100 discount from the girl who spent 7 hours fixing her disaster and she's still complaining! And you just KNOW she didn't tip her stylist.
All that discount would have done for me is cover the tip. I still would have paid at least the original price because I tip at least 15%.
It took her like five seconds to recall the stylist's name. Get real.
I've never dyed or bleached my hair. My mother and her friend dyed their hair one summer. T's blonde hair turned green. Mom's already bleached African-American hair went from blonde to red-green-gold-orange. Best summer laugh ever!
Yikes! My mom made hers green and purple, once. Not on purpose, either. Lol!
I am so distracted by her hand motions. She absolutely loves her nails.
Baby chicken yellow
She says “who has time for that” your response “a hairdresser has time for that” had me dying 🤣🤣🤣
Wh-wh-what do you mean “changing’? How? Hair Buddha, is this true! My beautiful hip length hair is like an appendage! I’m 42! And scared now!

I hope that Melissa got a MASSIVE tip she did an amazing job.
It makes sense to me that it cost $500+. Her hair was soooo long. That’s so much product plus 7 hours. It’s not 500 pounds it’s dollars.
Oh absolutely. And color correction is always expensive because it takes a lot of expertise to do well.
I would’ve charged her $150 per hour she got a bargain
Yes she got a Bargain 👌
I had medium length hair and got my full head bleached and toned(virgin hair. Only the tips(2inchs) where bleached to about a level 7) and it cost me 400usd, salons are very expensive where I live
$500???!!! Hmm that's a lot of money. She should have never dyed her hair. Too many chemicals.
I don't know why but your videos are calming my anxiety. Love you
I live in Finland and the average here is 150-170 € for a big hair change. Last time I got babylights, color + bobcut, 4 hours 170€. The hairdresser working alone did an amazing job, very professional and my hair came out natural and elegant.

"Sectioning, not going to do that!"
Every hairdresser - - SCREAMS -
What a ride. I'm jealous of how long and thick her hair is.
Beautiful hair
Just my two cents here...
She probably craves attention and knew she had the money to get this sorted to piss the internet off... by complaining so naively at the end. She knew what she was doing. Swear down, gen z do mad things like this on tik tok and youtube
Agreed. This felt very contrived. She seemed more annoyed by the price (as in she got a long suffering sigh from parents) but she didn't have that "I'm so panicked and guilty I'm going to vomit" look that most people get when surprised with a $600 payment, especially on your hair!
She did the same thing with lip filler too.
Omg she had it all over her face.
Also.. that was awesome when he said "A hair dresser has the time for that." 🤣
Before I started to dye my hair at home...

"FINE SECTIONS" He is so fusturated with this bleaching at home things PLEASE TRUST THIS MAN ..HE IS VERY RIGHT
tbh I'm surprised she got that blonde on the first go around
This girl had the confidence of someone who has not experienced any hair fail before, i felt like this experience did not cause any humility, or appreciation of the work of the professionals and she didn't seem to take advantage of the learning experience. How do people hold that confidence in the face of reality? I would at least be humbled and im not even getting the vibes that she's grateful for all the hair surviving?!?!?!?! Unreal😮

I get my hair colored and cut in San Antonio, TX about every 8 weeks for around $160. My girl does a beautiful job and I’ve been going to her for 5 years because of it.
Oh my god her hair is soooo beautiful! Why she did this 😨😨😨😨
🤷♂️
Avoid the franchises and the ‘chi-chi’ salons. I do best with small local salons.
So cute, you were excited to get to 100k subscribers, now you're over 600k! Well done Hair Buddha

Good plan

She’s a beautiful young woman who looks great with her darker hair. It shows her pretty eyes much better than the blonde hair. She was nuts to color her nice long hair, let alone do it herself at home. She’s lucky it didn’t break off. I don’t think she’s nasty like others are saying on here. She’s young...and maybe not too bright! Oh, my first time on your channel, Buddha, and I’m loving you! Thanks for this.
Welcome to my channel ❤️
They charge by the length of your hair, if your hair is above your shoulders and get it bleached and coloured it would be close to $200 with a cut (Canada)
That would be about $120 - $175 in small town heartland USA.
JESUS! £55 I pay! For full cut, bleach and a treatment! In in the UK.
I don't usually like reactions videos, but hair fails are SOOO much more fun to watch with the Hair Buddha!!

$270? I wouldn't be having it done. Budget breaker.
I miss Korean hair salons!

Xx
Her hair looks like it's still had a hint of yellow in it
I’m having hair envy! So much beautiful hair and it survived all that abuse.
And to think of how much money she would've saved had she just went to a professional to begin with🤔

I've only ever box dyed, but I only ever use a blonde dye to put highlights in my light brown hair. I had failure twice with an at home balayage kit but after watching your videos I see how tricky it is to do it yourself! So the last failure was this summer, I ended up with skunk like streaks. to all the people complaining about the $500 salon visit. As a Hairstylist I can tell you that the cost of product ALONE would be AT LEAST $200 if not more. She definitely had to get it bleached AND toned.
$568 - AT LEAST $200 in product = $368 for 7.5 hours. $368/7.5 hours= $49/hour
Even then, not all the money goes to the stylist.
It is good that the comments help us to understand what was the reason for the failure. Thanks so much. Here is your like.
My new favorite RUclipsr! You have such a great tv personality, I bet you would be an awesome judge on some kind of competition reality show.
LET’S GET HB TO 100K!!! 👍👍👍
THX ♥️
I remember being that confident, and not realizing how much hair I have! It may have been expensive, and I know fixing mine was WAY more than $700. Thank goodness you didn’t damage it and it’s absolutely gorgeous! It suits you very, very well!❤
Her: I hate this color so much on the bottom
Me, who has that exact hair color naturally: :(
take heart, she paid $600 for a really shitty colour 😆
Golden hair is beautiful! You're blessed.
@@sarahlouise7163 it’s not a bad color it just doesn’t suit her undertones
In America it depends were you live. Bigger city's like new york city and LA cost alot more but in other states it's not as much.
Yeah I’m in the heartland in a small town and shoulder length hair high lights and hair cut is $120 - to $150.
I love this reaction, shouting at screen “FINE SECTIONS!!” 🤣🤣🤣
You’re so watchable 👌🤗
thx for watching my video
Wowww ok American hairsalons doesn't play with the prices😲😳 wowww niet normaal!!!

On top of that you have to tip if you don’t wanna look like an asshole
Hi Hair Buddha!Love these reaction videos!Stay safe and happy everybody! You Deserve the silver button!✂💺✂💺✂💺✂😘💖☺
I’m American, my mom retired and wanted to stop coloring her hair red so she went to a salon to go gray. We needed a color correction specialist. Her hair was above shoulder length and it still cost $500!
The action/reaction at 6:43 is pure gold.
"FINE SECTIONS!!!"
💫😂🤣😂💫
I never thought about the age of my hair and the times of brushes, washes and so on it has to go through. I now deeply respect my own hair for beeing so patient with me every day 😅
Getting your hair done in America is SOOO expensive!! It’s hundreds of dollars every time if you go to a place that won’t destroy your hair. I’ve been to the highest rated salons in my city and even they have messed up my hair and it was $350 before tip!
😱
It is expensive for a color correction for hair that long. Had she had it done by the professional from the beginning it probably wouldn’t have even been half that price. The correction is where it gets expensive..
You'll gonna get that silver button!
