Counter-trend trading involves going against the prevailing trend while not expecting a full reversal.
Different methods for determining trade targets are explored, such as using moving averages, VWAP, prior support levels, percentage retracements, Fibonacci levels, and breakouts.
Moving averages provide a reference point for potential target areas based on price movement.
VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) on intraday charts can be a useful tool for taking profits on counter-trend trades.
Breakouts, particularly to the upside, can signal a good opportunity to scale out of a counter-trend trade as new buyers enter the market.
