Wesker doesn't care about anyone, he only saves people because he needs them to further his goals. When they aren't needed anymore he kills them or in Ada's case she goes about her business. I love it when villains actually care about people but Wesker is not one of them.
Ada was a means to an end. If you notice when she wakes up Wesker is filling a vial away from a needle. Later on Ada asks if he was here for Saddler's blood or hers

Ada has been working for wesker ever since re2 (1998) he takes a back seat and has ada do the dirty work. However this time he planted explosives on the island and kept his eye on ada more intently especially since Leon is on the scene. Wesker had the foresight with Adas betrayal too and had a backup of Krasuers body nontheless
Ada sounds WAAAY better in the French dub of the game. The English version is the only one Where she sounds odd. Her voice and performance are very fine when playing the game in other languages.
I don't like the new Wesker VA. DC Douglas did it so well I could hear Wesker sneering at me when he talked, like I was entirely beneath him. Really reinforced that god complex he has. New guy doesn't quite have it. He just kind of sounds like a generic American. Dig the new outfit though...

I completely agree. I wish they had let this be D.C.'s last time as him, or give him another chance if they are considering a RE Code Veronica remake. I miss his voice the most. I met Nick Apostolides (Leon VA) and at least he sounds like Leon (really nice guy). Wesker & Ada are bland.

Yea so. As amazing as this entire game is let alone this new DLC, I still can’t help but see a plot hole. I get that Wesker just uses whoever he can if he thinks they’re an asset to his plans, which made perfect sense in the original game if he never even made an appearance in the place of setting if perhaps he was multitasking with something else. However, if he actually made a physical appearance here, clearly this was not only his main priority and he put whatever else he had on hold, but if he anticipated that Krauser would fail and Ada would double cross him, why go through the trouble of saving her and instead just go and get the Amber himself with the powers he clearly has? I dunno…..
Ada has been partners with Wesker for the longest time. Wesker was tied up with planting explosives on the island and collecting Krasuser (which was precarious)
This has bothered me as well. But whenever I bring it up on online discussions, people just accept the fact that Wesker was "testing her loyalty." This seems to be the case, but it really makes Wesker seem much more dumber than the intellectual genius he's supposed to be. His entire Uroboros plan depends upon Ada's mission of retrieving the dominant plaga, yet he doesn't even lend a finger to help other than saving her this one time. If Ada betrayed him then everything would come crashing down, but it just so happens that Krauser's corpse was conveniently infected with a dominant plaga as well. I love the game but this plot hole is driving me nuts.

There's documents found at the lab near the end which lays out krasuer and the new monster had positive reactions to the amber infection (it states krauser was easily convinced with his lust for power at any cost). Wesker smiles when he caught sight of krauser too during a cutscene. He was planning to retrieve his body if his suspicions of Ada proved correct...

But this time, it seems they sacrificed logic in order to have Wesker make more of an appearance. On top of it all, if Wesker wanted Leon dead, why didn’t he do that himself as well? He knew Krauser would probably fail, and he knew there was no way Ada would do it considering how often she kept saving Leon and showed obvious concern by trying to deflect the order given to her.
You guys seem to be forgetting a lot of things. First of all Wesker doesn't want to get his hands dirty if he doesn't have to. This is not RE5 Wesker he actually works behind the scenes here. He genuinely trusted Ada and simply left the job to her while he planted the explosives and dragged Krauser's corpse. Wesker never cared about Leon dying, that was only in the og in the remake Wesker allows Ada to "keep her mutt" as long as she has him under control. In fact both Wesker and Ada use Leon to clear up Saddler's goons for them (a thing that also happened in the og). Krauser is NOT working with Wesker in the remake, they know each other but they are not associated in any way. Krauser is aware of his presence which is why he had the red warhead ordered but Wesker never expected anything out of him other than the dominant plaga in his body. The are no plot holes in all of this and it makes perfect sense. The only plot hole is why he spared Ada at the end after she betrayed him

To the remake out of no where ent there aggressive stpd told Ada his plans after saying he would not. Not a fan of Weskers character in the remake so far. Gone is his calm and calculating demeanor, and instead we have someone who seem impatient, angry and the complete opposite of his original version. This version is like if Chris was thwarting him over and over again. Much like Jill in the RE3 remake, Capcom ruined the core of the character with this new take.

In the original he was a wanted man, so he was hiding in Russia in the red queen Umbrella's base, as we see in Umbrella Chronicles, that's why he sent Krauser and Ada to get a master plaga sample for him, but had a secondary team implied to be lead by Hunk ready to intervene in case things went south. When Ada tells him Krauser was dead he sent this other team to retrieve Krauser's corpse to get a strain of dominant Plagas from his mutated body, because as Krauser says Wesker never fully trusted Ada in the original.

If, between this cutscene and the one where he gives her a briefcase, he ever went back to the ship, it would only mean a) he's got some machinations and he can get the amber himself b) poop writing just so Capcom could shove Wesker in this DLC to make it more weighty since it's basically all cut content anyway. Ada has been working for wesker ever since re2 (1998) he takes a back seat and has ada do the dirty work. However this time he planted explosives on the island and kept his eye on ada more intently especially since Leon is on the scene. Wesker had the foresight with Adas betrayal too and had a backup of Krasuers body nontheless

Ada sounds WAAAY better in the French dub of the game.
The English version is the only one Where she sounds odd. Her voice and performance are very fine when playing the game in other languages.

I don't like the new Wesker VA. DC Douglas did it so well I could hear Wesker sneering at me when he talked, like I was entirely beneath him. Really reinforced that god complex he has.

Projecting personality is a key part of a good performance. If I'm going to be honest the Ada and Wesker VAs are kind of phoning it in, especially when compared to their predecessors. It makes them bland and ruins immersion and game feel.
Every voice actor in the remakes is overreacting terrible written lines or they could never afford a better voice actors anymore.
I completely agree. I wish they had let this be D.C.'s last time as him, or give him another chance if they are considering a RE Code Veronica remake. I miss his voice the most. I met Nick Apostolides (Leon VA) and at least he sounds like Leon (really nice guy). Wesker & Ada are bland.

Yea so. As amazing as this entire game is let alone this new DLC, I still can’t help but see a plot hole. I get that Wesker just uses whoever he can if he thinks they’re an asset to his plans, which made perfect sense in the original game if he never even made an appearance in the place of setting if perhaps he was multitasking with something else. However, if he actually made a physical appearance here, clearly this was not only his main priority and he put whatever else he had on hold, but if he anticipated that Krauser would fail and Ada would double cross him, why go through the trouble of saving her and instead just go and get the Amber himself with the powers he clearly has? I dunno…..
Ada has been partners with Wesker for the longest time. Wesker was tied up with planting explosives on the island and collecting Krasuser (which was precarious)
This has bothered me as well. But whenever I bring it up on online discussions, people just accept the fact that Wesker was "testing her loyalty." This seems to be the case, but it really makes Wesker seem much more dumber than the intellectual genius he's supposed to be.
His entire Uroboros plan depends upon Ada's mission of retrieving the dominant plaga, yet he doesn't even lend a finger to help other than saving her this one time. If Ada betrayed him then everything would come crashing down, but it just so happens that Krauser's corpse was conveniently infected with a dominant plaga as well.
I love the game but this plot hole is driving me nuts.

There's documents found at the lab near the end which lays out krasuer and the new monster had positive reactions to the amber infection (it states krauser was easily convinced with his lust for power at any cost). Wesker smiles when he caught sight of krauser too during a cutscene. He was planning to retrieve his body if his suspicions of Ada proved correct...
@@ZoMbi5lAy3r in the OG, the way things played it made more sense, and they deliberately left it up to imagination as to how wesker still managed to get his hands on a sample, with Krauser’s body hosting it being his most logical back up plan. But this time, it seems they sacrificed logic in order to have Wesker make more of an appearance. On top of it all, if Wesker wanted Leon dead, why didn’t he do that himself as well? He knew Krauser would probably fail, and he knew there was no way Ada would do it considering how often she kept saving Leon and showed obvious concern by trying to deflect the order given to her.
You guys seem to be forgetting a lot of things. First of all Wesker doesn't want to get his hands dirty if he doesn't have to. This is not RE5 Wesker he actually works behind the scenes here. He genuinely trusted Ada and simply left the job to her while he planted the explosives and dragged Krauser's corpse. Wesker never cared about Leon dying, that was only in the og in the remake Wesker allows Ada to "keep her mutt" as long as she has him under control. In fact both Wesker and Ada use Leon to clear up Saddler's goons for them (a thing that also happened in the og). Krauser is NOT working with Wesker in the remake, they know each other but they are not associated in any way. Krauser is aware of his presence which is why he had the red warhead ordered but Wesker never expected anything out of him other than the dominant plaga in his body. The are no plot holes in all of this and it makes perfect sense. The only plot hole is why he spared Ada at the end after she betrayed him

Wesker from of went from controlling ING silent and calm like he one step a head and pretty much the guy running the show while others are pretty much just killing each other. To the remake out of no where ent there aggressive stpd told Ada his plans after saying he would not. To just back hand insulting her angry out of the blue then walks out of that door and he installed teleported back to his skynet room lmfao
If Wesker bothered to show up there, why didn't he just press L3 and get to the Plaga sample himself. He'd have the Plaga sample probably in less than an hour XD

Not a fan of Weskers character in the remake so far.
Gone is his calm and calculating demeanor, and instead we have someone who seem impatient, angry and the complete opposite of his original version. This version is like if Chris was thwarting him over and over again. Much like Jill in the RE3 remake, Capcom ruined the core of the character with this new take.

The remake has bad writing. In the original he was a wanted man, so he was hiding in Russia in the red queen Umbrella's base, as we see in Umbrella Chronicles, that's why he sent Krauser and Ada to get a master plaga sample for him, but had a secondary team implied to be lead by Hunk ready to intervene in case things went south. When Ada tells him Krauser was dead he sent this other team to retrieve Krauser's corpse to get a strain of dominant Plagas from his mutated body, because as Krauser says Wesker never fully trusted Ada in the original.

If, between this cutscene and the one where he gives her a briefcase, he ever went back to the ship, it would only mean a) he's got some machinations and he can get the amber himself b) poop writing just so Capcom could shove Wesker in this DLC to make it more weighty since it's basically all cut content anyway. I'm willing to go with the second option
