I love the layout of this home, it’s not conventional but it works for them ( I’m sure). I like the island seating that seems more like a table. The fridge and freezer being separate is kinda genius, and the dining room is great. Love the kitchen pendant too!
If the fireplace was covered with marble it would have tied the kitchen island worktop with the sitting area! Now the sitting area is so blank looking, which takes your eyes more to the kitchen with all those green and gold and marble. It is open space kitchen and sitting area so MUST have to be connected with something like colour or texture.
Every element in itself is beautiful but for me, the place just does not feel cohesive. Too many good ideas all stuck into one project. The entry does indeed allow light but at the cost of privacy. I love the fireplace itself but it does look dull. I suspect that when a log is burning it looks much nicer. Something odd about the back area which is trying to meet two functions. Although the sofa is small scale I think the room cannot hold both functions nor can it introduce a new style of furniture disconnected from the front sitting room and kitchen. I myself would place one large table that speaks to the kitchen and have a good space for eating/working. Go sit in the front room if you want soft seating.
I love a lot about this house but it feels very exposed to the street. I wouldn't feel safe or comfortable having everyone at street level be able to see in.

I agree, the color is so muted and safe. That blue green color is so clinical looking, clashes with the gold handles. It’s the type of green that new medical clinics use, dentist, dermatologist, Botox clinic, etc. I can see this looking better with black.
I would never imagine separating the freezer and the refrigerator, but why not!

Yes, that’s definitely a personal preference. Some clients don’t mind people seeing in their house at all and some really value privacy.
