3wood: "Sent by God to test me." I felt that in my soul.

Lol it's the plain truth. I either hit it good or miss it off the planet. No inbetween

@@tourqualitygolf I can find plenty of 3 woods that are great either off the ground or off the tee but almost NEVER both.

@TheMuffs2004 Try the triple diamond lofted up. Lots of folks struggle with 3w off the deck because they want to help the ball get up in the air. These 3ws set to 16 really launch easily and don't sit super closed.

@@jamesdailey5485 I have demo’d it a few times with good success but I just found a tour issue Callaway epic speed in mint condition that has a shaft in it that I had never tried before that really agrees with me. So far it is doing great on both. Ventus Red 8tx. The new triple diamond is next up if this ends up not working out. Buy so far so good.

I've been playing the Callaway epic speed and for the last couple years I've actually had fairly decent luck with it. So much so that i dropped my 3 iron and picked up the epic speed 7 wood.

Both of those 3ws are underrated simply because they're the "low spin" model. Surprisingly forgiving for a low spin model.

Both are great for the better player

@tourqualitygolf "better player" has some wiggle room. I think the 3 diamond models from this yr and last year are forgiving enough that folks around the 7-10 handicap range can easily game them. They're not super low spin like cobra ls and the + models from TM.
Huge added benefit is that they don't look closed when you turn them up from 15* to 16*. So you can loft up to increase launch and still easily hit a fade.
